Steven Gerrard - A Managers Story

With the arrival of Burrachaga and his instant impact I was asked by Ings if I could speak to him. He told me he was not going to renew his contract at the end of the season, and apologised to me for going about it the wrong way.

He hadn't. He was playing more this season and to be fair to him he was scoring, but I'm looking at taking the club forward for years here, and Ings was never going to be more than just a bit part player at Liverpool. As much as I didn't want to tell him that, I had to.

We spoke in length and we agreed to let him go, I spoke to him a lot during the process and we sat down and looked at his options, out of respect for Ings we didnt look at who offered the most money and went for who it would be better for him to join, the price didnt variate loads but we had his best interests at heart.

Burnley wanted him back, Tottenham wanted him, and so did Newcastle. We agreed Newcastle would be best for him as a player. He probably wouldnt get the game time he's craving at Spurs, and Burnley look like they will be going back down this year.

Newcastle and Ings are a perfect match. We shook hands and I thanked him for his time at the club. He will always be welcome here by all of us.

To compensate for the departure of Ings and any possibilities of an injury, we've brought in Wilfred Bony on loan from Man City. Bony has struggled to get into the City side in recent years and with an end fee of £4 million if we want to make to move permenant, this could be a brilliant deal for the club.

Another huge win today. This was the best I've seen one of my sides play. QPR didn't even manage a shot on us. Pogba scored goal of the season with a strike which reminded me of myself from 30 yards. And we had a debut goal for Wilfred Bony who came off the bench 70 minutes into the game. He looks like he could be a good bit of business for our season.

Bony for Ings is a good little change up for sure man. Hopefully Pogba can start firing a bit more too

Killing it right now, that young striker looks special too! I can see Chelsea slipping at some point, you're still in the race for sure :)

Carry on mate. I think this story is one of the best on this site. To bad U choose such crappy team ;-)

Thanks mate! Haha who do you support then? :P

Yeah! Ings was actually doing okay this season but the lad deserves some first team football somewhere, and he wouldnt get it here unless Sturridge needed resting, I think Bony will fill the gap at least until the end of the season, and then we can evaluate whether he's worth keeping or not! Pogba is starting to play much better now he's had a few games back from his injury!

Cheers mate, yeah he looks like the real deal. 2 goals in 3 games from an 18 year old coming into the country is a very good return, just need to make sure we develop him the right way.

Nice looking deal for Bony mate!

How old is he on there now?

Cheers mate, 29 if I'm correct!

Bony for Ings ? Sounds like a great deal to me my firend ! As for the story what can I tell ? It is really amazing !

Hopefully Bony can do a good job for us as a backup striker this season, and if he does I might have to buy him!

The magic of the cup did not come out for Charlton today, and James Milner was to blame. They found themselves 3-0 down after 11 minutes thanks to Milner and wonderkid Burruchaga, the kid is really starting to make a name for himself now.

Milner completed his hat-trick before half time slotting away his second penalty of the match, and Adam Lallana finished off the game with a lovely finish in the last minutes. It's worth noting Burruchaga also grabbed two assist this game. In our last 5 games we have scored 22 and conceded 1, this is some brilliant form.

Well we were lucky today. Tottenham really outplayed us for the majority part of the game, and we were lucky to only be a goal down. We didnt look like scoring so I brought Bony and Burruchaga on in the last 20 minutes in search of a goal, and the 18 year old continued his run of form for us by firing one home to equalise in the last minute. He ran over to the travelling fans and jumped straight into them!

This lad is becoming a fan favourite already, and everyone associated with the sport is talking about him.

A great performance today to hit back instantly in an attempt to catch Chelsea up. With Rodolfo Burruchaga and Sturridge in such good form, I changed my usual formation to fit them both in. Both of them bagged a brace. Sturridge came to me after the game and told me what a player Burruchaga is. Their interplay was lovely to watch.

I keep talking about him but its quite hard not to, here's a look at his stats since joining us, and they're quite incredible.

5 starts and 6 goals says a lot about him. He's even grabbed a couple of assists, no player has took to the footballing world while first entering the pitch since Lionel Messi, could this be the start to something special?

EDIT: He also seems to have grown a full set of hair in a few weeks? :P

Coutinho returned to the line up only to be out for another week after picking up a knock, he will miss the Barcelona game which is a huge blow. Joe Gomez bagged his first Liverpool goal and Lallana has damaged his kneecap, it looks like he will be out for a month.

Injuries have not been kind to us this season, and losing 2 key players hurts when you're flying to the Nou Camp in 3 days to play the biggest club in the world.

The F.A Cup has been kind to us so far this season, this is our third Championship side in a row we will play. Win this and we're off to Wembley for the semi finals in a bid to try and retain the trophy!

Really isn't much you can do against these guys. They have the best attack in the world and with all of them chipping in goals, we will need a miracle to turn this around. But this is the Champions League, and I know that miracles are possible. Believe that.

We will give it our all for the win at Anfield, and hopefully we can start early and go for Barca and shake them up. Anfield can be a fortress on European nights, we've beat Real Madrid 4-0 there before, and I'm hoping we can beat their rivals by a similar scoreline in a few weeks, its going to be tough.
