Sanchez carried Arsenal on his own back a lot of the time he was there.

That's not to say they won't be better off now...they have got out of a terrible mess remarkably fortunate. Just the timing allowed them to get Mkhi and Auba.
 
Mkhi + Auba just leaves them better off I think. I'd be afraid to play them, tbh. Only annoying thing is they can't play Auba in Europe, Lacazette has underwhelmed imo.

He did, but there was always a bit of a debate if it isn't a bit of RvN type situation. And by RvN situation I mean a player produces amazing individual numbers and barely ever has a bad game, but his playstyle ends up dragging the team down in the process. Either way Sanches is much better suited to a Mourinho led team that's for sure.
 
Also I'm not quite sure why people don't seem to rate Lacazette. From what I've seen Arsenal play this year, it looked a lot like LVG United on very bad day. A lot of pointless passing and striker ends up doing the Rooney and dropping deep just to try to make something happen.

That's one of, it not my biggest gripe with him. He keeps dropping acting like he's a CM, doesn't offer enough in behind like Aubameyang does. I'd love if Ozil, Wilshere etc. were asked about him off air. He's also not as quick as I thought he was. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player; he's silky with the ball at his feet, links up well & what not, but I just think he has too many little deficiencies to lead the line for a top 6 Premier League team, and I admit I overrated him prior to coming to England. Aubameyang done more tonight in than what I've seen from Laca since the start of the season in terms of leading the line, penetrating opposition backline, etc.

He's an unbelievable level of back up striker to have though!

We`ve fallen hard for too long... we need major change!
 
I actually feel a modern day relevant manager if he came in now would be able to get something good happening with this squad and a few key additions.

Your attack on paper rivals anything in Europe, you just need to sort out the spine of your team with CB and CM.

Also despite his good performance today, Cech is over the hill too.
 
Given how both Szczesny and Fabianski sucked at Arsenal and somehow improved tremendously literally within months after changing clubs, you gotta wonder if it's Cech losing it, or goalkeeper coaching is as good as Wenger's coaching of outfield players.
