Talking of PPM's, I did play Shelvey as an AMC quite a few times but he has like the worst PPM's ever (shoot from distance and comes deep for the ball) but he did a decent job at AMC. However I do agree that comes deep for the ball is negative for the AMC. I think Moving into channels would possibly be good though to find space? Places shots would be another good one I feel. But then it also depends on their attributes.
 
what patch and which version of the tactic were u using m8?

Hi.

I have some questions... My tactic is 4-3-3 based in short passing, high pressing and control of the game.

But I can´t get my striker to score some goals!
All the players are set to short passing (like 6 clicks right on the edge of short to mix), all have the same normal mentality (right in the middle).
The 2 MC´s are set to advanced playmaker with support (run with the ball set to rarely, run from deep sometimes and t-balls set to often). The 2 wingers are set to inside forward with crossing set to rarely, t-ball set to often, run with ball to sometimes and roam from position. Now the striker is a "trequartista" i´ve tried almost everything from poacher to advanced forward... He is set to run from deep sometimes, run with ball sometimes and t-ball set to often...

What is wrong? It seems like the ball doesn´t get to the striker and the IF´s are always cutting in the middle and then shot with no sense (I know this is due to the ME, so nevermind)... But I want to my striker has more chances to score!

I tried this tactic in FC Porto and only James and Chamberlain (my IF´s score goals), the striker have 1-2 shots per game and they are most of time from outside the area (that shots the ME always make with no sense whatsoever).


Now I am trying it at Man City (to test it with a super team) and the problem remains the same... I really want get this working, because I am playing some amazing football (no only at City but also in FC Porto), and as soon I get this working I´ll start testing with mid and small teams...

So if someone could help me, I would appreciate a lot!!!

If you want to know any more information I could post some SS´s or even the tactic itself...

So, just finished my second season with Bordeaux (french Team)

Won Championship, French Cup and French League Cup
Lost Against Arsenal in 1/4 final Champion League

Definitely THE best tactic i've used in FM2013

very good tactic, this year only expected to be a transition year, sold a lot of players who were above 30 years and hired some very young players, and I must say very well mated to the tactic, the only player who does not perform with this tactic is Cisse, I do not understand, Ba or Ameobi do very well in that position, just cisse not performing in that position, I must say it is excellent defensively, Cheers!

So what patch does this work with ? Why I am asking is because I have been using it with the last update, and I noticed my players started to shoot from outside the penalty area no longer go in the box for clear cut chances - and the one you created with Classic tactic, can I use a playmaker with it and not trequartista in AMC postion ?

I will also add some print-screens once I get home - I like how the team is playing , but I don't like that they keep passing backward when they recover a ball in midfield, instead of just going forward the striker sometimes even sends it back to the keeper ... any ideeas on how to make the game more agressive ?

I play on FM Classic, and have had the same issues in the past. I think a big reason for my striker being stuck on his own is because the AMC runs deep to collect the ball, then passes to the striker. Striker then runs into a wall of defenders, and attempts a stupid long shot.

When i use my AMC with PPM of "likes to get forward whenever possible", the quality of shots at goal seems to improve. He is also a striker (natural), so i think this role suits him perfectly. Unfortunately on FMC i cannot train players to do specific PPMs. Not sure if there is a way around it. I've noticed my players develop PPMs as I play the game, but i cannot choose which ones I want them trained in.
 
I think this is a best tactic for those who are wish to see chelsea's consecutive championship winning without stress.. OSCAR and RAMIRES are at their best on MR.. HAZARD is incredible on AML. and I think MATA is a best Choice as AMC. When I play R.MADRID using this tactic, OZIL doesn't play well AMC so does MODRIC..

The impressive thing in this tactic is that WB and FB dominates the game!! even BERTLAND plays like superman... BAINES would play ver solidly... and DANILO& MARCELO& RAFINHA just tear the side of pitch up... The only thing I feel sad a bit is that looking for someone who fits as AMC in this tactics is difficult except MATA... In spite of that, The fact doesn't change that this tactics is the best tactics ever I used in FM2013.. thanks for good tactics

So I should try and play a second Striker in the AMC position and have PPM to "likes to get forward whenever possible" , maybe Djemba Ba could do that ... I will try and see ... not yet home..as quick as I can you will have the pics 2 :)

Well, the Longshots is a ME issue
Also, when looking at the " roles", they are found in the screen of the formation and the text under the players. Don't look at the roles in the TC versions as they don't match their actual settings.
IF wanting to use a playmaker, then the MC is the one.

P.S. : how in the world do you printscreen :S because I have only print/text/webpage option , and the button on the keyboard does nothing :( ...
 
I'm not kidding, if you want an AMC then PPMs are the issue to look at. Gets forward, places shots, runs with ball often are all useful ones. Also look at what foot they prefer, if you have the striker on the right, use a lefty and vice versa.

ggle19 - look at Jack Wilshire for the spot. I'm playing him there and 2nd season he has hit something like 22 goals with about 10 games left of the season in all comps. He has hit a goal roughly every other game.

thanks for letting me know about that !! Actually, i have a bias on Wilshere that he plays like OZIL so i didn't think of him at any moment.. I'll ask arsenal for catching him as soon as transfer market is open.
 
The biggest problem i find with ozil is his determination, bravery and aggression. Ozil cannot cope with hard hitting defenders or being harrassed by midfielders. Also, it means he rarely attacks a ball in the area. I've lost track how often Wilshere has stolen a goal by harrassing a defender.
