I've got a question for y'all out there. This has been - by far - my favorite tactic of FM13 thus far. I've had some absolutely amazing results with teams from different leagues and quality. That said, this last patch has really gotten in my way.

The best part about the tactic used to be the amount of chances and CCC's it used to create. Lately, however, that's my biggest problem. A little background - I'm playing with a very strong Arsenal side with players and preferred moves that ought to be a perfect fit but I'm simply not performing anywhere close to what I'm used to with this tactic. I have maximum fluidity, training on team cohesion and good morale. I'm just not creating any chances and often lost the possession battle. The great link-up play is long-gone compared to previous patches and I'm a little stumped and just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed a significant difference. As I said, I have a strong team, and have performed much better with worse teams using the same tactic. I've played roughly 50 games and it's still not clicking. Also, in comparison to previous patches, I'm letting in a lot more goals. The defense often gets spread thin and simple through balls are deadly.

As I said, I don't want to be a downer or anything, I've literally loved this tactic, I'm just a little puzzled. Let me know if you've noticed anything similar.

You are right..

In the previous update I was unhappy with this tactic because my player had to many fouls. Every game my team finished the game with 5-6 yellow cards, BUT I was winning almost every game.

Now, after the new update, my team doesn't concede any yellow cards, but I'm losing lots of game. Just lost in front of Mainz, 3-0 !!!!

I hope BetterHalf will surprise us soon :)
 
when training PPM I cant find "arrives late in box' anywhere, any ideas?

I think yuo will be happy to hear that I have made some small tweaks to the tactic that makes it just as good as in 13.2.2. I am going to play a few more matches before uploading it but in short, its about using a normal tempo and a lower closing down setting.

Great news, can't wait for it. I used this tactic in 2-3 saves and it worked well in all of them. I managed to make a decent tactic for the new patch but its 1 tweak away from being awesome, but I just can't find that tweak. :P

I am going away for a few days so I won't be able to upload it earlier than WEDNESDAY.
In short, it will be 2 formations, one with AML, AMC, FC and one with 3 FC's ( and mirrored version of them) and one should use the formation that suit the team one has.

ok. im playing 2021/2022 season.but gonna sell my squad and put new young promisses to play and test ur tactic

Dont overdo it though. Bringing in too many new players at once will we you struggle and if they are young, you will see a lot of goals conceded late in matches, many players not being able to cope with the pressure etc.

Sounds good, I'm off work for two weeks so testing it will give me something to do
 
Just finished my first season today (the first quarter of the season was played on 13.2.2 whereas the second half of the season was played on 13.2.3. with the AM-Winger tweak to 15 notches) and it went brilliantly as I stormed the league and won the Dutch cup in the process. In Europe it was disappointing, however I did play my reserves in every game as I was focusing on the on the league! Here's a few screens of my best performers, the league etc...

However, this season I am having a bit of trouble when it comes to keeping clean sheets - I had the same problem last season but I was outscoring the majority of teams and creating a lot more CCC'S - and I've unfortunately just been knocked out of the dutch cup by an amateur dutch side, which was extremely disappointing. It might be second season syndrome but I don't know. Looking forward to testing the new version on Wednesday though.

TBH

will you be posting up screenshots of some or your games/success with the new updated tactic?
