***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

Haha this game is ridiculous !
Finally i found good tactic against ManU, after 88 minutes i was winning 0:1 and then FM 2013 MAGIC - Van Persie 4 GOALS in 4 MINUTES !!!
Final score 4:1.
Will try few more times and then i give up with this game 4ever.

Hey TBH, do you have another link for that wide 42121 for middleteams? I cant download in the opening post...Or just a tactics for a poor first division team?

Fellaini

Hi i was wondering if you could help me with creating a tactic for everton, i want it to be like how they play with fellaini in just behind the striker but is always in the box to win headers

Just wondering where you came up with the idea for the formation and using the assymetrical formation in such a way?

The idea behind this and all my other asymmetrical formation is to let you play your best players where they do the most damage whilst still keeping a solid shape. Here, this formation allows me to do so with Man C, Chelsea.

As for the idea of using it this way, it's something that I have done since FM09. Sometimes I makes sets, sometimes pure plug & pla and sometimes the TC along with shouts.

Certainly does not sound like a game for you if you cant take a single loss

Yeah but how did you come up with that particular assymetircal formation? What made you put those positions where they are. Only saying as it looks very similar to something Iv'e seen a few weeks ago.

Aha, now I get it. Drop it mate ! I have made 15 different asymmetric formations, naturally none Of them is unique, just like à flat 442 is not. This one I made because it suits the squad.( initially it was made in September for FM12, only had to make some small tweaks to suit FM13)

I play CM's and FM's more than 10 years, but i've never seen such nonsense like in FM 13... until now EVERY game can be won, depending on the approtiate tactics and team management... but here every single game you have to change your tactic, and even that does not guarantee success; in FM11 and FM12 i used the same tactic all the time /with some improvements after every patch/ - in FM13 i've used every possible tactic i have found /including all of your tactics/ - max. 3 games and tactics no longer work... Maybe this happens only in Classic Mode.

Hello, i have not found another tread where i could ask something and Betterhalf you are really great and helpful, so i will ask here.

Is it tactically good decision to sign 15 year old player? Is there need to sign them to ensure their future, or better not to and let them have youth contracts?

Then perhaps the problem was with FM11/12 where you could just plug in a counter attacking 4-1-2-3 and exploit ad nauseam. Personally I'm finding FM13 much more realistic even in this early stage. I'm having no trouble adapting to what I see is happening on the pitch either, so I can't really sympathize. In fact, I change my approach several times during each game, depending on the situation.

There is a wealth of information in this thread as to how to do just that.

Hiya mate do you think your Italian 4312 would work just as well as it did in FM12? Thinking of starting a Juventus save and that tactic absolutely owned last year!

Ok if you say so. Must purely be a coincidence like youv'e inferred.
Haha yeah. Would be strange if everyone playing FM where using different formations.

Are you by any chance referring to any of your tactics ? I saw that you have( or rather had) a thread containing a asymmetric 22222 formation.

In theory it should work, just like the rest of th Team Tactics. Will be interested in hearing from you if you should decide to go with it.

Tricky question ad it would depend on the player and the team you are using. Statistically, the player will fail though.
If playing in lower divisions trying to climb the ladder in the league system, its usless getting hot prospects that young as when he is ready for action , you have already got 2 divisions higher up and he will still be poor.

Hello,

I was just wondering when it comes to training a top youngster or any for that matter how do you tend to do it?

Like I got told by someone the best thing to do with youngsters is to train in their specific tactical position (Defensive Midfielder for example) and tutoring them until the age of 24 because this is when their major development is up until that age. Then when they reach 24 you can start focusing on training specific attributes?

Would you agree with this if not, how would you do it?

Regarding patches

This one is working even better in the latest one

Hmmm, thats not at all my experience?? After a great first 34 games with the old patch, my last 4 games where very poor, with this :( The possesion whent down and the opposition stole the ball from my players alot. Thereby countering while a lot of my guys where upfield. And this even happened on cautious.

Well, I must try again then.

Well, the first thing I do is to make a plan for the player for the coming 5 years

- what kind of roles will he be likely to play in my team. Is it a backup players, a supersub, a new rotation player, a new star, one
that I will sell to gain money etc

'- what kind of player is he now, and what element does he need to focus on to become better than his opponent.

- do I actually use this kind of player in my tactic

After this, I do just like you suggested, I train him to become better in certain areas to suit the role of role x. If the player has a major weakness that undermines his overall performance, I train that specific stat straight away but otherwise, I leave it until he is a bit older.

I'm still playing FM2012 and will be until Xmas. I have tried a few of your tactics and most of them I have enjoyed. I am currently using the 4-2-3-1 Narrow and Deep. So far so good.

My question is about players attributes. I have read through the entire thread here and at SI but don't really know what stats I should be looking for.

Do you have a list of stats that you would look for depending on position? Please could you share?

I understand that you like Determination, Work Rate, Decisions and Team Work throughout the team and that Concentration is good for defenders and DMs. It's the AMs that I struggle with. It's easy with the TC tactics as the game shows you the key stats ;-)
