****** a new contract already after 5 months. Barca gonna be broke in a bout 4 years keep giving Neymar a new contract every 5-6 months.

RB owner Mateschitz says they have recently turned down a €75m offer for Keita. "No way. He will fulfil his contract". (via @SPORTBILD)

More Mateschitz: Selling Keita would send wrong signal to other players and show fans a lack of confidence (in the project). (@SPORTBILD)

Its not just Rangnick

Both Messi and Neymar are bleeding them dry. Messi has been there 12 years and signed 9 extensions, each time with a massive bonus. You have to wonder if Barca actually break even on them, 50 goals a year is nuts but if each of those goals costs the club near 1 million, is it really worth it? Although they bring a lot of merchandise and sponsor revenue I'm sure, so there's that.

Even before Messi signed his new deal the salary of MSN was higher than the total wage bill of every other team in La Liga except Real Madrid and Atletico. The three of them demand a kings ransom which doesn't leave them with a ton of money for players to provide depth as they can only spend 70% of their revenue on wages. Also think I read somewhere that the three of them are a third of Barca's wage budget which seems extreme

Haven't seen a lot of Barca last season, but seen plenty of people say Messi/Suarez almost pairing up as such and making Neymar unhappy, little things like rarely passing to him the season gone by, etc.

Like I said, I haven't seen it, but I've seen/heard this opinion too much for it to be 100% bullshit (may be 99% though lol).

Its definately not wrong. Watched that happen a fair bit last season.

Wouldn't know as I didn't see a great deal of Barca last year but that would be surprising given they've been real unselfish in supplying the others. I could never see a top Argentinian, top Brazilian, and top Uruguayan working together but for that very reason, it has. And on the surface, they all seem the best of buds.

If that is the case then you presume Neymar has done some to upset that. Or Enrique was having them alter their tactics last year maybe?

I was always under the impression Messi Neymar and Suarez got along well

Strange isn't it if that's what he's now claiming?

How does that leave things going forward next season? I mean you're professional and get on with it like. But it sounds like Neymar's got one **** of an ego.

Whats taking Emre so long to sign the **** contract. Especially with Juve sniffing around.

Mate, honestly, since the clubs shut everything down, you don't know what to believe on anything or who to trust. Even the close knit local corp Joyce, Reddy and co. are struggling and contradicting themselves.

You've currently anything from:

Keita- The club has withdrawn all interest/ There's a £75 million bid in/ We haven't had any more bids since the second one last Monday/ We've had anything from 3-4 bids in/ His agent is currently trying to negotiate his release from RBL.

Can- He wants out/ He's ready to sign/ He's not for sale/ He's agreed with Juve.

van Dijk- He'll be boxed by the end of the week/ He's going Chelsea (the current funniest of the lot)/ Liverpool can't bid until Southampton encourage them.

Coutinho- He's not for sale/ Barca have bid anywhere from 1-3 times already/ There's a price of £100 million set (Liverpool like to sell cheap huh?)/ He loves it here/ He craves to be in Barcelona.

And all points in between I don't have enough time to list.

What will be will be on everything. I'm past trying to decipher what's credible and what's not when usually credible people are well struggling and rehashing ****.

The summer is just too much hard work.

thing is no 1 know **** apart from the clubs so dont worry about it till some thing comes from the club with pic of who ever is siging lifes too short

Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella returns to Eredivisie - Liverpool Echo

Yeah, I'd presume that's it for the young Spaniard at ours. They've had another good look this pre-season and decided again against keeping him around.

My one thing with him was he always looked a little too lightweight for the English game as technically sound and quick thinking as he is. But the domestic friendlies this year he'd looked to of bulked up and stood out the middle. But then I'm not privy to watching him on a daily basis.

Who knows, another season of competitive football might do him the World of good? But I'm not expecting a Chirivella Anfield career now.

Barcelona assured on Philippe Coutinho as Liverpool threaten to hit transfer low and Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk stall

The Reds were expected to move forward during the window after achieving Champions League football but could see themselves taking steps ba
ckwards
It has been planned as the summer that Liverpool stepped up a level, but has recently stalled, and is now danger in danger of suffering a bit of a low.
Jurgen Klopp has wanted to bring in two more mega-deals in Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita to take the club’s spending up to an unprecedented £200m or so, but there is a real danger that they could lose on both targets and also lose Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
It would be like 2014 all over again, when they reached the Champions League but still sold Luis Suarez, only feel even worse precisely because they were supposed to be past this.
There is genuinely a pressure on the club for the remainder of the window now, even if it’s still worth looking past the noise, because there are a lot of conflicting sounds.

One positive is that those close to Van Dijk’s camp say there is a real relaxation about his future, and they believe he will move - with Anfield his massive primary choice - with the centre-half having told new Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino that he no longer wants to play for the club. The problem of course is that Liverpool must tread very cautiously in all of this, having already had to publicly apologise to the south-coast club over a complaint about illegal approaches. They cannot really force the issue and, for their part, have not done that in the slightest so it is really up to the 26-year-old to further agitate for a move.
Southampton may well prove tough negotiators, though, just as RB Leipzig have. It is after all not long since Keita really felt even more confident than Van Dijk’s camp that he would be going to Anfield this summer. He has had to re-assess that over the past week or so. While it is not true that a third Liverpool bid has been turned down, the Leipzig hierarchy have so far shown no indication that they will be turning.
They certainly haven’t been in the generous mindset of being unable to stop a player “living out his dream”, just as Liverpool did in 2014 with Suarez, and could yet be pushed into with Coutinho. The situation is a little similar there, somewhat inverting Klopp’s problems.

Barcelona believe it would be a 'no-brainer' for Coutinho to move (Getty)

Those close to the Barcelona hierarchy are speaking about how they expect the playmaker to arrive this summer, and that it’s just a “no-brainer” he would want to leave Anfield for Camp Nou - even if the machinations could well indicate that Neymar is actually leaving the club. It’s just that the Catalans would surely have to offer a lot more than £80m, especially in this market, and especially with that contract he has that runs until 2022.
A further complication to this, and almost ramping up the pressure, is Klopp’s idiosyncratic - and someway admirable - approach to doing business. Those close to the club say he isn’t always interested in alternatives if he doesn’t get his primary targets, and there currently don’t look to be too many back-up options to Van Dijk or Keita. It sometimes feels as if he just has a vision in his head for how his side will play with those specific players, and is just willing to improvise if he doesn’t get them. That was what happened in his very first window in 2016.

It is up to Van Dijk to push for the move after Liverpool's public apology (Getty)

The issue that is so central to the very vibe around the club, however, is that this was supposed to be a summer of imposing themselves rather than improvisation. It was supposed to be about for once fully maximising the opportunity of being a Champions League club again, something that cannot now be guaranteed in a Premier League where there are six and maybe seven clubs - if neighbours Everton really push on - going for four places.

Liverpool told €75m is 'not enough' to buy Keita from Leipzig

Ultimately, what it all boils down to, is Liverpool have to show a steel. They have to flex the muscle that does come with this bigger broadcasting deal, even if it has meant everyone else is wealthier, too. They just have to press that home. They have to stand firm with Barcelona. That should be non-negotiable. There is after all no real justification for selling Coutinho, unless he actually agitates, something that looks unlikely. The positive is that is exactly the stance that the hierarchy are going to take - that he is just not for sale at any price. They then have to take a similar attitude on the other side of things. They have to show a new canniness with the main targets.
It is likely to be the key to reaching higher in the Premier League. Impressive as Klopp is at improvising, no one can keep doing that indefinitely. It’s time to step up.

Interesting to note Kent's gone out to the Bavarian camp and Ojo and Wilson haven't.

They obviously want as long a look at how he's come on from last year as possible. Might well still be going out on loan but it won't be after the last friendly a week Sat'day I wouldn't imagine.

Probably assessing his options with Keita's arrival. He will be the first to suffer. Juve looking at him and Matuidi

Leipzig are playing the PR game heavily lately but not playing it very well.

Real poor choice of words from Rangnick on Guinean journalists.

Way to alienate a guy who wants away further along with future African signings.
