Get in! Leicester at home the LC quarters.

Proper feared another London trip right after ‘Spurs. A home draw is perfect Chrimbo week!

Thank you football Gods.

One of the nice benefits of taking a day off and not being at the first team game ….. being able to watch the 18’s. And there are not many better ways to start a football weekend than walloping the Ev 4-0 in the mini, mini Derby.

Now over to the seniors to keep their ridiculous current run going. At least we know Potter will come to play which should lead to a really enjoyable, entertaining watch.

Naby Lad straight back in the lineup to continue P the mad members of the fanbase off. And Tyler Morton on a PL bench for the first time after his solid outings in the LC! 😍

Straight into these Redmen!

Today’s admin:-

Title Countdown-
6 wins down/ 24 to go.
22 points down/ 73 to go.

Current unbeaten League Run-
20 Games. (W 14 D 6 F 50 A 14 CS: 11.).

What a superb, fascinating game of football between two superbly coached sides.

FULL credit to Brighton. As anticipated, they came and played a super, expansive, attacking game. With a wicked press. And scored two outstanding goals in the process. The first a ridiculous individual finish whipped in with bend and dip from 25 yards out by Mwepu. The second a superb, passing team goal from back to front that was L’pool-esq. i can’t praise Brighton enough every timeI watch them. And today was no exception.

As for the Reds ….. Terribly frustrating to draw after being 2 ahead 25 in. But when you are on such a stupendous run (24 games and counting), you can forgive them for a lapse. And with City also losing at home, that’s another point gained on them as much as 2 dropped. Can’t win them all.

A frustrating, but hardly damaging, game.

On to Madrid and putting that a/hole Simeone in his place again!

Up the 24 not out Reds!

As expected teething issues with Konate at the back. Not that Matip was in better form to be fair but he will learn from this. The sooner we have Fab back in midfield the better tbh.

Obviously Fabinho missing doesn't help, along with Thiago and the way he controls games but I honestly think the main reason why we're more open at the back this year mate is down to the evolution of the side and the changing of midfielders positions. Pushing the two 8's ten yards higher to aid the attack is naturally leaving more gaps as they adjust and learn the new position. It might not sound much, but that alters most everything when you're starting from a different position.

It's just a matter of time and patience whilst these things get ironed out.

This gang of historical Reds ‘aint half good at this football lark yanno'. 😍

A few thoughts from another boss night under the European lights-

Take a bow Oxo-Chambo. After great recent cameos the second half at Atléti and Utd, a superb 80 last night from the start. He flourished in our subtle change to the 8 this year pushed further up the park with safe protection (namely Fabulous) behind him affording him that. To all the reactionary fools on SM who were shouting long and hard over the weekend that he should ‘Never play for L’pool again!’ and the like after a really poor collective team performance, where he was a part of an unbalanced midfield thats arguably our weakest three on paper- Less posting and more thinking! The difference when the balance is there letting him do what his body will allow now was there in glorious technicolour last night. (The same applies to those slamming Curtis at the weekend who was placed in a similar no-win situation in that midfield as Alex is no longer the same player sadly through injuries. And ,as hard as he always works, just can’t get up and down as quick as he used to. So consequently Jones job was twice as hard against Brighton.). Give your collective heads a wobble and add context before you diss a player next time aye?

To last nights very angry referee- I presume you’ll be having a word with Jurgen on where to book to get your eyesight fixed? Absolutely abysmal officiating display. Red card for you Sir that should never have been shown to the Atleti player. For Sadio to have to be brought off after 45 as you lost complete control says it all.

To the Spanish Burnley- I sincerely hope you end up in the Europa League where your antics belong. Or even better, out of Europe all together! There’s doing the ‘dark arts.’ And theres taking those to a complete other level and being proper, horrible *****! You fall into the latter. If we never have the displeasure of playing SIimeone and his team again it won’t come soon enough.

Talking of, that despicable rat Suarez getting the reception he’s more than earned- I was reading before bed last night folk across the net saying he deserved more respect from us ….. Respects earned lads. Dragging the football clubs name through the mud by openly racially abusing players, and unbelievably still insisting you aren’t a racist 🤦‍♂️, along with acting like a petulant 5-year-old by biting an opponent not once, but TWICE, to try engineer a move away; is NOT the way to garner that respect. All compounded further by refusing to train and ******** all over his manager, teammates and every last one if us by refusing to train. And then trying his level best to get our lads sent off the Barcelona semi. And some madly still call him a L’pool ‘legend.’ 🤦‍♂️

Luis Suarez is a despicable, low life human being and NO amount of talent is changing that. Some things are FAR bigger than mere football ability and we’ve shown him four times now, in the two Barcelona and Atlético games, just what we think of the rat and why he’ll NEVER be remembered as a L’pool great by many.

Talking of the support- I missed Brighton but was disappointed to hear this, all be it briefly, on the broadcast Sat’day. Last night, I was embarrassed and fuming to hear it, loudly, three times. Although it was quickly drowned out each time by the majority. Which makes it three straight games now, after all the wools at Preston belting it out …… I’m talking about ’Oles at the wheel.😡 FAR too many knobheads need to learn some standards when they come to support us. We weren’t playing Utd last night! Nor on Sat’day. Nor at Preston. Nor will we be on Sunday at West Ham. And we DON’T sing about them when we aren’t playing them! If you want to do that, go follow Leeds or Utd. They do that **** every game. Please educate yourselves and STOP doing it our games. Embarrassing meffs.

And finally, coming full circle, just how ****** outstanding are Kloppo’s Reds? A club record equalling 25 successive games and counting unbeaten. Which is just phenomenal. For the latest to qualify themselves for the knock-outs, with two games to spare, from one of the hardest looking groups the CL has ever seen when a draw was made, is beyond phenomenal.

What a time to be alive! What a time to be a Liverpudlian!!!!!

Up the best in Europe Reds!

Kostas surely has to start now given Robbos form has been meh. The deliveries he puts in are wow.

Just great to have a genuine option above and beyond AndyRobbo now where you aren't concerned at all if he doesn't play. He's been superb all year long.

And, to a lesser degree, as there's absolutely nobody on the planet remotely like Trent, if folk would just be a little patient and stop expecting Trent things from him, Neco is only going to get better and better with experience and will be a reliable #2 when Trent needs a break for many years to come.
