Pool playing well and deserve lead. Spurs being Spurs at Anfield. Shocking! Knew Vertonghen would be a disaster miss for Spurs!
Uh uh. 'Spurs weren't being 'Spurs lid. For the first time in 2017, L'pool were f-ing Liverpool! Mané against boys! (Sorry, couldn't resist!).
Where the F have you been hiding this year L'pool? Absolutely awesome performance. Like the 'Spurs lads we've just been debating **** with said, it's been a frigging LONG time since they've had such a comprehensive doing off anyone. First half in particular L'pool were breathtaking. Could and should of gone in 4 or 5 up and it wouldn't of flattered them. Sadio showing just what a threat he is all over the park will grab the headlines like with a top drawer brace. But Gini Wijnaldum was the clear MOTM for me in a team full of MOTM performances from back to front. Won every battle. Always in the face of Dumbélé and Wanyama. (Who after bigging them up before the game as the strongest two midfield pair the PL didn't know what hit them with our three today. Like they literally looked shellshocked they had no time to do anything); then giving it and going keeping L'pool constantly moving. And a special shout out to Lucas Leiva. Who made me look like a **** as I was honestly ******** it the pub before hand when the team came through with what Kane would do to him. Harry Kane never got a kick and was exceptionally lucky to stay on the park with that shithouse challenge on Clyne the touchline second half. ******* ANTHONY TAYLOR! AGAIN! Lucas was brilliant.
Everything we've been saying all month about the bollocks notion the press that we 'need a plan B/ teams have figured us out' et all. It's L'pools STYLE that had changed. Nottin' more, Nottin' less. Much to the managers consternation and purely down to confidence. Today, L'pool refound that with a vengeance in a perfect storm of Klopp Heavy Metal footie to destroy a stunned Tottenham first half. Then a real tactically savvy second half to completely control and see the game out with absolutely no threat to that lead.
When these Reds play to these Reds strengths, with a fully fit XI, there's not a team in the Country that can live with them as they proved right through the summer/ autumn. When they play to that intensity, with that interchange of movement, getting that many bodies forward, they'll rip anyone. However deep they want to sit in. The key thing of course now is making sure the same happens against Leicester. And then against Arsenal. And the game after that. And the game after that. Believe in yourselves and what we do again boys. Make this the turning point where the L'pool we all know and love, Jürgen Klopp's L'pool, returned with a vengeance.
Do that, and you'll **** second at the very least. Fall back to the asinine ***** of a week ago at Hull, today means little and we're back to square one. Confidence should be well returned after that master class going into a nice 16 day break to refresh and fully prepare for Leicester next time out.
As for the absolute **** in the middle ..... It's not that we disgracefully yet again got South Manchester's (not so) finest. Which is an absolute continued disgrace in itself. Forget all that. It's the fact the lads just a shockingly bad referee. Like SHOCKINGLY bad. Even in a season of historically bad officiating, he stands out above all others and then some. Just HOW Tottenham finished with all XI men on the field is a complete mystery. From about the mid point the second half when they accepted they had no way back, they just turned into the snidey 'Spurs that they always seem to have locked away. But he just let it go. Along with at least two blatant handballs. The fella's a serious risk to players health never mind anything else. And he's the 'future.' God help us all.
The only downside to FINALLY a brilliant weekend in 2017 is I'm getting WAY too old for this **** haha. 9 hours on it and I'm done in to the point I had to come home. But what a gang of Reds to feel like ***** tomorrow over! A rocking Anfield, under the lights, with Jürgens Juggernaut revving back up to full power once more. Doesn't get any better than that as days out go!
13 more of the same please Red Men.
Up the Return of Jürgen's Heavy Metal Reds! It's been TOO long!
