For once, is rite UEFA!

Muller out of both legs for attempting to decapitate the Ajax lad.

Madly, Munich are appealing. Presumably on the grounds his head is still intact with his body!

They're absolutely right. It was clearly accidental. Straight red was fair but extending the ban is completely unfair.

Wasn’t Keita the one who was touted on this very thread as a combination of Iniesta and Kante? I rest my case.
What case? You’ve literally just repeated what someone said and then said I rest my case

It is funny how you don't see him between wind up posts tbf lol

Isn’t it? Although it never goes unoticed wherever he pops up.

I just can’t be arsed half the time as it leads to a pety back and forth. As this no doubt will.

Every so often they’ll be a point you can agree with but it’s few and far between. Along with the Utd lad who just see’s any comment from a Scouser as some sort of personal afront, he’s about the only person you can’t have a priper conversation with.

Being as he’s the current hot topic of conversation, to add to what I posted the other day, a couple of informative pieces on Keita’s first 6 months. He’s been far from bad. Just ‘meh’ outside 2/3 standout games as he learns and adapts.

A detailed statiatical breakdown from yesterday-

And some good observations on the slightly different role from what he had at RBL from Tuesday-

Never realised van Dijk’s the first defender in nearly 6 years to win player of the month. Quite the duration.

Well that was just as Brighton wanted it. Dull. Nonetheless another well deserved and vital 3 points. Like Rafa’s Reds, as soon as these go one up you know 99% of the time the W’s in the bag and you can all but go home. And Messi-Mo the match winner, and best player on the park yet again.

Pressure heaped back on City.

Good Saturday. Now for an even more dull family meal to attend. But at least it comes with the bonus of winding blues up.

22 down. 7 clear. 16 to go. This is fun.

Up the ‘crisis? WHAT crisis?’ Reds!

Yeah Scouse, I'm not for one second saying he won't come good. I'm just saying that a) his current ability was over egged and b) he's currently flopping, and we can't argue that he wasn't signed to make an instant impact, because he was, luckily for him, Liverpool have been doing so well he's flown under the radar somewhat.

Must of us are fully clued up but a timely reminder, with prosecutions starting tomorrow, to NOT comment in any way, shape or form on any form of social media/ forums, on anything that might be in the news.

The very last thing the familys need after nigh on 30 years is anything prejudicing the court cases.

JFT96.

Taa now joins Gomez on the sidelines, makes loaning arguably the best debuty RB in the league out even stranger.

It would if he was part of the match day squad and not anywhere near it mate.

Let’s not kid ourselves. He was a third choice, at best, RB who’s already played more minutes at Bournemouth his first two games than he has here all this season.

Clynes best out at Bournemouth for all partys. Not least Nathaniel himself and his totally stagnated career here. Can’t legislate for injuries bud and its unfair to keep a player of that ilk sat twiddling his thumbs on his couch every Sat’day just in case they occur.

Not ideal Trent being out but nottin to unduly worry about. Quite a few sound options there. Milner could slot in Sat’day. Or Fabinho if Matiip returns. Then JMG’s looking at being back (hopefully) for Leicester the end of the
month who’s as good a RB as anyone we have. At worst both he and Lovren will be back February.

Next man up!

Not personally worried here at all the depth we have and lads returning from injury.

As a sidenote, even accounting for Brighton’s refusal to attack Sat’day (NO shots on target. At home. I didn’t think that was even possible in a pro. game!), Fabinho proved his versatile worth yet again with another super display. This time at CH. Such an intelligent footballer who’s getting better each game the more he learns. (Why there’s no panic over Keita. Players taking time to adjust and fully get everything down under Klopp whilst he holds them out until they are ready is becoming perfectly acceptable now regardless of the price. At least by rational L’pool supporters who do have paitience.).

Real happy we spent a year working on that one to get it done so early the summer and not have him end up at City replacing Fernandinho down the line.

Yanno, talking injuries, it’s hard to disagree with Milner’s assertion that Alisson has been the player of the year thus far for L’pool. He’s certainly been the biggest difference maker by far from last year to this.

He and Salah are by far our two most important players we just can’t afford to lose IMHO.

van Dijk’s been ridiculously brilliant no question. But with Joe, Fabinho protecting in front getting better by the game, and the massive safety net of Alisson behind. I honestly wouldn’t be too worried if big Virg went down for a spell. Not ideal. But we could comfortably compensate. As we can for most everyone but thise two.

Losing Mo’s Messi/ Ronaldo-esq numbers/ impact would be bad enough. But the MAMOTH drop off from Alisson to Mignolet would undo everything and hand the title to City on a plate.

The best we’ve had between the sticks since Brucie Grobbelaar.

As Scouse put it he is fourth choice even if he was fit Klopp would rather Gomez, Milner and even Fabinho play there ahead of him.
