As far as I know, none. How many Dortmund players has Klopp signed from Dortmund?

However, he brought in half a dozen of people he used to work with.

Peter Krawietz - Mainz and BVBClose mate ..... Less than half of that half a dozen.
The two, now one, who have been with him since he stepped into his first manager role at Mainz. He won't sign anything unless they get upped too.
He did want Götze, who he still dotes on, his first summer but he madly wanted all sorts of guarantees so we quickly turned to Mané which worked out pretty well.

Željko Buvač - BVB
Andreas Schlumberger - BVB
Christopher Rohrbeck - Mainz
plus 2 more Germans who he was familiar with.
Managers are bringing people they know and trust. Shocker. Absolute shocker!
Still, point stays the same. He's bringing in people he trusts. United structure is an outdated mess, you lot have a throw in specialist, United just recently got an sport psychologist. He's moving the pieces, but like you said ( at least thats how I got it), he needs help from those above him. Without competent help, he's going to fail.We are talking about when he took over.
Let's not confuse the issue.
Can’t blame him considering when he mentioned he needed a left footed center half, the best out scouts could recommend was Pau Torres whom is basically a Spanish Victor Lindelof. Imagine being known for playing a high line and the best your scouting department could recommend is a player that has only ever been good in an ultra defensive Villarreal side. He’s been relatively average for the Spanish NT as well. I’d do my own scouting in his position if that’s what they came up with. But TBF, you can understand why ten Hag is only looking at what he knows. If you'd of done this the right way and let Wreck-It Ralph build it properly like what he was hired for, you'd have doubtless of got everyone in and been set for next weekend already. But you didn't, and as ten Hag had no interest in what Utd had planned transfer wise, and there being no competent DoF to speak of (failed blues don't count), he was left in a bit of a pickle wasn't he? He's not got vast European knowledge. Why would he? He's a coach. Ajax have the structure in place to take care of that. So with so little time before the start of the season, he's naturally going to return to what he knows and trusts in the Netherlands. And Ajax in particular.

Reminds me of the comment you made about people within the club pulling different directions. At least if we’re signing the players he picks, it’s pulling just one direction, albeit unproven.
The must think leaving a game early is professional. That’s what you get when they’ve been conditioned to believe that for 3 years. No doubt Solskjaer would’ve let that slide.
