The Manchester United Thread

But it's not 'moot' when it comes to football is it? You pay that money for game changers. Until they dominate/ change the very biggest of games, it's always going to be an issue.

'Dabbing' against Fenerbache and co is one thing. Against Chelsea, City, L'pool etc is a complete other.

Until he shows that potential ability consistently in the biggest of tests, the fee is always going to be an issue.

If you weren't paying for that it wouldn't of been paid.

*Edit* The fella has terrific potential. Anyone would be stupid to not see that. But you can't separate the fee from that until it's consistently fulfilled to justify it.

Good luck to @JoeRiley49, who has joined League One leaders Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season. #MUFC

See this is the thing. Why the **** are we talking about his dabbing. Why not talk about his consistently excellent passing?

His passing was terrible against Liverpool. He gave possession way too often.

Here's the thing. For almost 3 months no one has mentioned the fee, so that argument is rubbish. One bad game after 3 months of excellence and it's suddenly "oooh he's not worth the money, gotta do better than dab against fenerbache (again, ignoring the fact he's been better against tougher teams than fenerbache)

It was horrible against Liverpool, we should have gone direct and let him play over the top

Maybe I'm just being naive here but why must we go direct against Liverpool to have success? In a footballing sense we should be able to compete with them considering our lineup on Sunday was stronger than their one.

Bypass the pressing game. It's what we did second half and we were much better for it

Hey, when he consistently performs against top class sides and dominates games like you'd expect from a World record transfer feel free to lambast everyone. Fenerbache/ his 'dab' was just a throw away example of when he has. You might think that harsh, but that's life and comes with the expectation of such an amount.

To date, he hasn't. (I know, you've said Arsenal/ 'Spurs at home. Where as Chelsea, City or Liverpool was he even on the pitch?).

It doesn't bother me one way or the other, but you can't be surprised/ annoyed when the media or anyone, Utd fans included, are frustrated that your biggest game of the season your biggest player disappears after he would of cost you anything were it not for some poor officiating to bail him out.

Just reading that Independant-Delaney article posted by TOD in the transfer thread saying Luke Shaw looks certain to leave in summer. I would be annoyed at that, not necessarily at the club but more so generally at the player if his attitude has really been as bad as is made out. What a waste of talent and letting the money get the best of him. He's on too much money anyway and seems that's got to his head and suddenly we'd need another LB.

I don't think he will go if he gets back and playing well. If he listens to Mourinho he will be fine. Griezmann will be a class signing though!

I think we have the right to be annoyed when people **** talk our players. Specially someone who is clearly trying his hardest to prove to the world that he's worth the amount we paid for him. He could of rejected the offer and not try to live up to the price, but he choose to come.

And I don't think its fair to say he didn't perform against Liverpool, when Liverpool set up to stop our midfield. Hate to say it but Liverpool should get credit for it, not Pogba getting blamed for it.

Griezzmann would be a great signing but I can't help but think who it may be at the expense of, as he's going to tam someone's place.

Few reports in MEN and various Dutch media that we've made enquiries about Kasper Dolberg from Ajax. With a look at buying him in the Summer and loaning him back for the season. Bout has been recommending him as a future star, and Mou is keen. Interesting if true. Mourinho maybe planning for Zlatan leaving in another season or 2. Seen play this season a few times very impressive and can see a lot of Zlatan in his younger days in him. Might mean the end for Wilson which is as shame.
