Solskjaer explains United team selection vs Brighton
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes these Manchester United players can rediscover the form of summer and insists they’re now ready to perform after a disrupted pre-season.
This is what he told MUTV after picking Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic in his side:
“They’re more ready now, they’ve had some minutes, they played last week and have had training, they missed too much pre-season to play last week.
“Nemanja and Aaron played well against Luton and Mason looked sharp. This is the team that played well last time we were here so we hope we can find some of that form again.”

Criminal to start Lindelof after that last performance, Bailly must have no respect for Ole, he basically cost us 3 points and Bailly played well in the week.

Ole has a personal love in for Lindelof I'm convinced with the Scandinavian connection, this is the thing that will eventually come back to haunt Ole. Certain biases to these players.

So your saying Ole is racist? ??‍♂️ ?Maybe he thinks Bailly can’t play 2 games in 4 days. Not happy with the selection myself either lol
 
Also, there is a distinctive lack of a press seen. Used to be a half-press, we are barely doing so till now. DO think we need more energy and activity on the pitch.
 
Outplayed first 20 mins by a mile Brighton hitting the post twice. After then grew into the game with a good team goal ruled out for offside. Stupid penalty to give away! But good response getting level. Still don’t look on the pace, but gotta get a win somehow in the second half. Matic Utds best player by a country mile so far.
 
Is it in Pogba's contract to start..... cos there can't be any other reason.

When did we grow into the game? Lol. We only got our heads in after the Paneka penalty. Beforehand, the game reminded me of our Champions league final in 2011. Yes, that's right, we're making brighton look like peak Barcelona.
 
Which team here has the highest wage bill in world football? Brighton legit look the better footballing side and that's the most worrying thing.

I expect and hope we will grow into this second half and show something..... to be happy about.

He is. He is a unique case, where he can effortlessly fulfill the role of three different players - a ball winner, a playmaker and a scorer. The problem is those days are interspaced with utter mediocrity a lot of times. Also, tries to do too much and ends up cheaply giving possession. Bruno coming has helped him as he has someone to link up with ahead of him.

More recently, since the Prem started, he has just recovered from Covid, so he is not back to full fitness, I am assuming. Should just start van de Beek and give Pogba time off the bench to get back to full fitness.
 
He's wc (on his day) but not worth the hassle, I think we'd get a myriad of players who would play that position better and more consistently. Cba with him and his mediocre performances. If he was played with a more license to roam and a bit further forward then maybe.

United are stuck with him though and will give him a MASSIVE new contract, so expect him to be here for a long time.
 
Thats the thing i dont get. "WC on his day", this has been said how many seasons already? Need to be consistent as any players can have their day and be called wc just purely from that game.

Brighton is playing very decent and **** they are pushing high. End product lacks, like 5 shot hitting post.

This has ben a joke performance, AWB has been horrendous, one of the worst RB performances I've seen for quite some time. This position looks more of an issue than LB atm, at least we have ****** Shaw there.
