The Manchester United Thread

Well depends. But general consensus is that United transfer department are working on it regardless of takeover plans. Most agree that United have bit more than 100m to spend, before any sales. Same people are agreeing that United not having transfer activity would potentially weaken their position on the market ( regarding club sale).
Pretty much this. And IF you wanna believe certain reports it’s looking like Mount, Hojlund, Min Jae, Rabiot Utd want done by July. You’re looking at around 140m. Then I would guess from sales we will look for another experienced str. With all deals being cash upfront with installments spread out over the contract length.

Good thing is it looks like business is continuing like usual. With contract extensions being signed and discussed and talks and bids going on with ETH targets.

I'm not sold on Mount.
Particularly if they want more than 40.

Go and get f.ucked.
We will find a hungrier model somewhere in Europe for half that.

Negotiations around the potential sale of Manchester United are still taking place with multiple parties.

Reuters reported on Thursday that United were negotiating exclusivity with Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.

It follows growing speculation Sheikh Jassim's bid is likely to succeed.

However, sources have told BBC Sport exclusivity had not been granted and talks were continuing with interested parties.

At the start of this week, reports from Qatar claimed Sheikh Jassim was going to be named United's new owner, but the publication involved later issued a clarification.

However, United's share price, which had risen sharply, did not drop back fully, suggesting a belief among investors Sheikh Jassim's attempt to buy 100% of the club was going to be successful.

Earlier this month, Sheikh Jassim lodged his fifth bid for United, which remains on the table despite suggestions he would not engage with the process beyond 9 June.

Sheikh Jassim is competing with Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos Group in trying to buy the Premier League club.

Ratcliffe and Ineos are willing to secure a majority stake, which would allow current owners the Glazer family to retain representation in some capacity.

The Glazers announced in November they were considering selling United as they "explore strategic alternatives".

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s turbulent ownership of Nice:

Captain and Staff complaints about direction

Police investigation into allegations of racism and gambling by former coach @AdamCrafton_ #MUFC

Fair play to Crafton. The abuse he’s gotten online throughout this process has been absolutely disgusting. Yes he’s written a few pro Ratcliffe pieces and called out stuff about Qatar. But if he’s found anything on Ratcliffe he’s reported it correctly. Really objective and unbias reporter!

Shame. Especially after hearing Utd offered her the wages she wanted. Her brothers/ who are her agents have handled this like ****. It’s funny she’s going to Arsenal who are losing all their best players. And we finished above. Makes all her talk of being a true die hard Utd fan bolloc ks! And for all her hype she only scored 10 gls. Should be easy to replace.

Ona Battle is also leaving. Was always going to happen as she’s never lied about dreaming of playing for Barca. Already signed her replacement in January hugely talented Jayde Riviere
