Injury update from ETH:

Lindelof and Varane both returned to full first team training today. Likely to be in the squad for Sunday.

No bad reactions for Martinez so is ok to play.

Maguire will be fit for the final.

Shaw and Malacia start of next season.

Looks like Olise from Palace Is one of main targets this summer. After Mitten, Ornstien, Romano all reported it over night. All said we would sign a LB as a priority also. Along with Utd looking at CB, CM, STR. Then other signings like RB, Spare CM and CB would depend on sales. Which sounds about right looking at departures.

On Olise I think he would be an excellent signing and would be a big help to our STR getting some serve the way he plays. And no surprise he is a main target with both Newcastle and City looking at him last summer ( Ashworth/Berrada influence ) also the fact he’s got a release clause that’s active this summer of around £55m. With Greenwood, Sancho, Shortire, Pellistri all leaving we need another wide attacker for the RW. And those out goings would fund the move free up wages and wouldn’t effect our budget.

On other potential signings. Ramano/Mitten said Frimpong, Todibo, Tosin are all high priorities. Also Branthwaith was mentioned but depends on price. No names for STR yet or Left back but the left back signing will be a young player to be a starter for the club.

Half of those players will be at United next season.
Which half?

You have Heaton, Evans, Eriksen, Varane, Martial, Amrabat, Williams, Shortire all out of contract. Some have the +1 option but doesn’t look like Ineos will activate them.

You think Casemiro, Sancho, Greenwood, DVB, AWB, Pillistri, Hannibal, Linderlof are all gonna stay?

Might be a slim chance 1 or 2 stay but can’t see half. Especially with Ineos wanting to trim the wages hugely, we need to sell to buy and we will likely be playing one game a week most of next season with no European football.

Half of those who's contract is not up this Summer.

Also, wonder if Lobotka gets scouted. Good player who still has few more years at top level. Would be expensive though.

What a tool!😒

Pre Liverpool presser happened immediately after today’s Conti Cup fixture. I asked Marc Skinner on Tullis Joyce’s possible WSL debut:
🗣️
“That’s what we are working towards. Phallon is a phenomenal player and we are working towards that (WSL debut).” #MUWomen | #BarclaysWSL

I take back everything I said good about Amrabat these last 2 performances 🤣 blokes sleeping through the match. Never seen a player get robbed of the ball so much. Must this lots head are on the fa cup final. No energy, passes under hit, no movement, no pressing basically 0 effort

I think I wrote it here at the beginning of the season, but I'll repeat it again. I've a friend who's huge Atalanta fan, he even went to Bergamo because of it. And he said Amrabat was one of the worst players he ever seen and he couldn't believe he's going to United. At time I just waved it off, but I shouldn't have doubted him. Guy knows Italian league.

Tbh he was class at Fiorentina and for Morocco. And he’s had good performances for us. Thing your friend is over egging the “worst player he’s ever seen”. Either that or he’s not watched a lot of football.

Good to end with a win. Højlund sub changed the game. FA cup final here we come. Hopefully the last we see for many of these players in the league. Ineos need to hurry up and make a decision on the manager and get cracking with there summer plans!

Sad no European football next season.

Great season for our academy continues with more silverware

Kai Rooney and Edson with the late goals, 2-0 win. Rooney scored in the North semi, North final and in the National final.

Told ya mate. Would’ve rather kept Sabitzer on from last season than Amarbat this season
