dont count on it
No chance. Even going off Glazer history the manager gets 2/ 2 and half seasons min. This is Ineos “football structures” choice main man they’ve paid big money for do there project. For numerous reasons it ain’t going to happen. I’m more interested in are they actually gonna do what’s needed in the summer. No excuses now. Structure is there and will have been in place long enough for them to know what needs doing and nothing to hide behind. Especially now they have there man there.

I feel sorry for him. He’s come in mid season. To a squad that’s not nowhere near capable of playing how he wants and who have gotten numerous managers sacked. Time for Ineos to show us they are the right people in charge and **** most of this lot off! Easier said than done though.

Let’s be real about the squad.

Keepers we are ok. After a tough start to his career he’s been very good back end of last season. And baring today superb this season.

Dalot good enough to be a squad player for either LWB but better as a RWB.

Mazaroui absolute class player on either side. Preferably RWB

Shaw good enough but never fit needs selling but is on silly wages

Malacia can be a good squad player at LWB.

Linderlof not good enough. Hopefully they don’t renew him this summer and he leaves.

Maguire good enough to be a squad player but wages are too high for a squad player. Needs to leave. Hopefully this summer they don’t trigger the extra year.

Jonny Evans to old needs to leave when his contracts up end of season

De Ligt has been good for most parts and is improving and nailed on starter.

Yoro looks absolute class should be starting with De Light.

Martinez not been the same since that knee injury. But still good enough to be a squad player

No surprises Ugarte looks class under Amorim should be one of the starting 2 in CM

Mainoo is class but still developing and is struggling atm after an injury

Eriksen is leaving in the Summer

Casemiro is past his best could do a job as a squad player but his wages are ridiculous and it’s gonna be hard to shift him on

Mount good enough to be a squad player for now going forward

Bruno just makes us better and creates so much and gives his all. Needs to play as a 10 not a CM though.

Antony not good enough needs to leave

Amad absolute class needs to be playing at 10 though and not LWB

Rashford needs to leave doesn’t suit us anymore and he’s not fixing any of his flaws. Will be hard to shift him on with the wages.

Garnacho deserves more time and is young enough. He needs to improve his decision making hugely or he’s gonna be Rashford 2.0

Zirkzee not sure yet

Hojlund good enough to be our No9 just needs service and a working system

So that leaves us:

Onana
Yoro - De Ligt - ?
Mazaroui - Urgarte - ? - ?
Amad - Bruno
Hojlund

Bayndir, Heaton, Malacia, Dalot, Martinez, Mainoo, Mount, Garnacho, Zirkzee

Huge holes to fill in both starters and squad

A grim-faced Dan Ashworth was escorted through the press conference room by Colette Roche after the game last night to take an alternative exit out of the stadium, accompanied by a security official. In retrospect, perhaps he was frogmarched out. #mufc
To think I thought y'all turned a new leaf this summer. I guess Scouse was right, not much changed. The guy spent more time on gardening leave. You can't make this up 😂 😂 😂

It's actually seems like Berrada convinced Ratcliffe to sack him.

From Ornstien:

Ashworth’s departure was agreed in a meeting with chief executive Omar Berrada at Old Trafford after United’s Premier League game with Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.

Makes sense. As Wilcox and Amorim are two Berrada men. Also sounds like Ashworth was the one who pushed hard to keep ETH during the summer despite reservations from Ratcliffe and especially Berrada. Sounds like Amorims not convinced on Jared Branthwaite who Ashworth was pushing the club to go big for again this summer.

Reading the Mike Keegan article. Saying there was a huge clash in the summer with Berrada and Ashworth over the manager situation. Berrada wanted ETH out and to bring in Amorim. While Ashworth wanted to give ETH another season after winning the cup. Then wanted Southgate if it didn’t work out.

Absolutely farcical and yet another stumbling INEOS PR disaster. They've hung their hat on Ashworth, a man who spent longer on gardening leave as they madly waited it out for him, to now bin him so quickly. Oh, and in the process, not only added to the millions Ashworth has cost them getting him and binning him. But the millions keeping and then binning the previous manager.

Like at Nice, Ratcliffe doesn't have a F clue what he's doing, or about football period, with his vanity project that kept the Glazers in power. And his tone deaf, despicable comments yesterday trying to justify the price hike and doing away with concessions on the basis Fulham can't be charging more just adds to the fact every United fan should be turning their anger on him and INEOS more than anyone.

If the Glazers are clowns, Ratcliffe has turned OT into a complete circus. As was mooted in here not too long back, the man is a complete, narcissistic, shithouse.

Boggles the mind that an up and coming young manager like Amorim would hinder his career by walking into such continued dysfunctionality.

The Fulham comment was outrageous and im surprised he didn't catch that much flack. Not to mention the cost cutting but hurting those at the bottom of the rung at the club in the name of "saving costs". Honestly if he wasn't a tinpot dictator from a country with awful human rights issues then Ratcliffe would make a great Bond Villain. Despicable man even for billionaire standards.

Despicable is the word. And he's the one that's signed Utd's death warrant by keeping the Glazers in power and giving them an out when the Arabs were begging to take over. He and INEOS have done nothing but bring chaos to each club they've owned/ been associated with. And this changing personnel so quickly will be matching Boehly at Chelsea before too much longer.

I actually really like Amorim. Seems a really personable, nice, genuine guy. He'll have to eventually change his style like (if he even gets that long at Utd the way INEOS change people on a whim), as three at the back rarely works in England. But at least he has a clear philosophy and an attractive, progressive brand of football.

Just baffles me how he'd put his up and coming career reputation at risk by going to a club in such continued dysfunction?

That's Utd's January and summer windows thrown into absolute chaos now.
