McCabe went for a chip butty, just said... "sign anyone, it's not like i'm poor!" (while rubbing his hands together) ;)

Probably went for something similar when we sold the two Kyles and Slew etc.

Bet he couldn't believe it when he came back and we still had Maguire on the books. After all it can't be him that handles any transfers because he says himself he will keep the youth. He also said before the 09/10 season we were done with loan signings and in the end we ended up handing out debuts to 24 new players most of which were loans.

Don't worry I can accept the banter. After all we gave it you when you had Lee Strapon as chairman. Haha.

David Plee....

Torquay midfielder Ian Morris has boldly predicted his side will beat local rivals Plymouth Argyle in League Two's Devon derby on Saturday

The 25-year-old midfielder told BBC South West: "I can't see anything other than a win for us.

Hopefully that comes back to bite him on the **** ;)

Torquay was a fantastic day-out last season, local, but we need revenge for the 3-1 defeat we suffered. Hopefully Griffiths & PCH are fully fit, and we can make the first step towards becoming Devons 'best' again :)

We're getting better. Much better than the performances against Aldershot & Dagenham at the start of the season.

The defence has returned to the form it was showing at the end of last season- The improvement Durrell Berry has made at RB since this time last year, has been sensational. Darren Purse & Maxime Blanchard look as those they've returned to their best, after a few dodgy performances and Robbie Williams had his best performance in an Argyle shirt. Superb, made up for his lack of pace by some great defensive work and has a brilliant left-foot.

Another man who had his best Argyle game, is Warren Feeney. Because of his poor goalscoring record people think he's *****, but we're much better with him in the team. He's not a big lad by any stretch, but he's not afraid to battle for the ball, and won several headers/free-kicks against Torquay's two massive CB's. Unlucky not to have scored with 30-yarder and close-range header, Torquay keeper was in top form. Hopefully he can form a good partnership with Griffiths and the new lad from Aldershot, Guy Madjo.

Another man who deserves credit is Paul Wotton- Just when people start writing him off, he puts in a superb performance in the centre of midfield.

When Lowry, PCH & Griffiths return from injury and Bhasera is back from international duty, I think thats when we'll see these 0-0's, being turned into wins. I'm confident we can push on into the upper half of the table...

[Also mld181, Exeter's early season form won't continue ;)]

My money is on them finishing higher than Plymouth along with Argyle lucky to make mid-table :P

"I can't believe how fantastic the manager is, I'm learning a lot from him," Madjo told BBC South West.

"No disrespect to the other managers I've played under, but I've never had someone like this."

Madjo continued: "He's been in the game and he knows what he's talking about. It's a good set-up here compared to so many places I've been to."

Madjo has played for 13 clubs previously, so Fletch must be doing something right.

Personally, I'm feeling more confident about the season, then I was after the Dagenham/Oxford matches. We've made massive improvements in the matches against Burnley, Northampton & Torquay. The key will be keeping Bhasera & Griffiths fit, and hope Lowry makes an impact when he returns from his injury. The division is very competitive- I can't see anybody running away with the title this season, and I think there will be a large number of teams fighting for the playoff positions in March/April. Home form will be vital.

Steve Kean resigns as Blackburn Manager

Why do managers always leave clubs right before they play us?! Could go one of two ways tbh. The fans will be very happy and might actually start to get behind their team now, or the players could be disappointed that he's left or feel disrupted by the upheaval.

Stupid though, he was on a hiding to nothing and should have been dispensed with in the summer. But having made the decision to keep him, stick with it- you can't go halfway. (Before anyone says he resigned Kean has made it clear he was forced out, so for all intents and purposes, he was sacked) Also I wouldn't be surprised if the owners haven't a clue who they're going to bring in. So they could end up just appointing the assistant anyway. I'm very grateful my club isn't run by Venky's (sp)- absolutely clueless.

Steve Kean resigns as Blackburn Manager

Just shows how competent Venky's are as owners.... Really been messing the club up from the start. Keane should have been sacked in the summer but Venky's stuck with him fair enough but now you can't just sack him mid-way.

We are playing some great football- Dominated several periods of matches, the problem has been- The struggle to keep up a performance over 90 minutes, and creating that final-ball- If we keep playing like this, it won't be long before the wins start coming. Hopefully starting with AFC Wimbledon this season.

Unbeaten in 4, and just 1 defeat in 7- Things are looking up.

Bolton have sacked Owen Coyle

Could have given him a bit more time, 5 more games maybe, but you can see the sense in this move. Bolton are underperforming and with the international break the board have a good amount of time to appoint a new manager. At least the board have actually used some common sense, unlike the Blackburn and Coventry boards.

The appointment is crucial though- get it wrong and Bolton could face several seasons of stagnation or even decline, as we have seen before when clubs get the appointment wrong at this juncture.

Also just seen that Bournemouth have sacked their manager. They're my local team and I have a lot of time for them. Again with the club underperforming and the international break schedules, the timing makes sense. The club has spent money for the first time and they should be looking upwards rather than nervously at the bottom 4.

Shame really. Reall good bloke, but not the best of managers. Though i'm reading that theres more hostility towards the Bolton chairman than Owen.

He seems to divide opinion. Some believe him to be a top manager, including a lot of chairman. I doubt he will have to wait long for another job. And I believe he was pretty popular with the Bolton fans. If the new man doesn't hit the ground running Gartside could come in for some stick.
