It really wasn't created by Rijkaard
..............
he'll get there eventually.

Ok, I may have exaggerated a bit related to Barcelona, but in the case of Bayern, **** no. He didn't do **** to that team in any way, that made it batter than under Heynckes.I am by no means a Bayern fan, but that team under Heynckes was an absolute joy to watch. Two consecutive Champions League finals, (still amazed by how we beat them to it a year before they won it), and dethroned a very solid Dortmund at the time.

I will give him credit for Barcelona. Even though I absolutely hated that tiki-taka bullcrap.
Bayern: when **** freezes over.
City: we'll see. Not looking that great, but he is just starting.

Also, if you are up for a challenge: who do you pick, when you know both are in for you, City or United? (I have nothing against any of the two, just a put yourself in his shoes question)

Its a hard one, putting my club allegiance aside I'd have gone for United. They have such a rich history and its rebuilding job which is proving collasal. Nothing against City just if I was him it would have been United, they have everything you could want, plus it would be a chance to measure yourself against one of the all time great managers in Fergie.

This, and only this is my beef with him. He always seems to be taking the easy way out. I would have picked United without even second guessing it. City is a good team, that requires a little refining. United, now that's a task for a great manager.

Wilfred Zaha is the epl's most improved player this season.

Eh. Pep did a decent job with Barca, but can we please stop with the nonsense about how he build a great team out of nowhere. Yes, Barca was a mess when he arrived, but Spain wasn't, they've just won the Euro under Louis Aragones, with Barca players playing key roles. Pep mostly took that lineup and formation, added Messi and replaced some deadwood with new recruits.

Also, to say that Pep improved Bayern is preposterous. In Heynckes final season, Bayern were the most dominating team I've seen since Sacchi's Milan. The footage of their CL run is probably on PornHub under rough buttsecks category. Then Pep comes along, and not only he won nothing of substance, he was completely outplayed and outsmarted in all his european campaigns.

And yeah, one does have to wonder just how much manager matters in these superteams. Louis Enrique was ****, then he comes to Barca and wins CL in his first year. Zidane and Guardiola win CL in the first season of their first job. Maybe all these people were undiscovered geniuses. Or maybe you just have to be half-decent manager and preferably be a former player, a club legend. That way trigger happy boards and fickle fans will give you more time, and self-important overpaid superstar players will respect you.

Just look what happened to Benitez. He comes to Real and he was dead man walking since he arrived. Then Zidane takes over, he basically plays the same formation, makes the same squad choices and suddenly he's another superstar manager in the making.

Blame Utd. Not Pep.

If they hadn't completely bungled their coaching search, allied to the complete arrogance of Woodward thinking Guardiola would just take the job as it's Manchester United when they did finally make a move on van Gaal, as opposed to City putting in the hard work and toeing him for the previous 3 years; he may well of ended up there.

Instead, rightly or wrongly, he's the side of Manchester he was wanted.

Seeing the champions league draw makes me sad, nothing better than a European away something I'm not sure I'll ever experience again.

Looks like once again we're going to be the ones who throw a wrench into someones title charge. Sorry Arsenal (not). Be wary people :)

Let's see if the FA are gonna be consistent this time!

Disgraceful Palace are battling relegation. That's a top 10 talent side.

Pardews surely on his last legs there?

I'm starting to think the only reason they keep him is because of their catchy Pardiola song that is sung for more than 50% of the match haha.

Missed the start but that sunday supplement was interesting
Was going to ask if anyone else saw it. I'm amazed at how stupid, naïve and manipulative the British media establishment are with the rest of the rags. It's nice to see the Sun put in their place once in a while. The reality is that the media and the British attitude to foreign football is seeing us slip behind the rest of Europe. Hopefully managerial changes in the premier league can slow the decline.

If people didn't lower themselves to sewer dwelling levels and stopped buying the aforementioned right wing Tory POS then in wouldn't have any place to be put.
