Other News

Greg Pascazio has signed a new contract with Rangers that will keep him at the club till 2019. The young centre back has increased his wage from £500 to £950. Fellow youngster, Jordan McGhee, has also signed a new contract till 2019. The 2016 League Cup winner has increased his wage from £30 to £1,000.
Ryan Donnelly has made his 175th league appearance, 125 of which have been made for Rangers. The striker, brought from Airdrie, has become invaluable to the club due to his lethal touch in front of goal. Barrie McKay featured in his 100th career league game, all of which have been for Rangers. Lee Wallace this month played his 275th career league game. Finally, Sebastian Faure made his 75th league appearance, all of which have been made for Rangers.

Rangers have offered me a new contract at the club, they originally offered £7,000 per week, but I knocked them down to £5,000 in a deal that will keep me at the club till 2020.

Summary

The has done excellently in the league over the last two months remaining unbeaten and not dropping any points at all. In contrast Celtic dropped points in a draw against Motherwell, allowing me to extend my lead by another two points.

The club has managed to win Manager of the Month twice over the last two months. Unfortunately we were unable to win any other awards though.
The club has fallen behind in terms of individual statistics over the last two months. With the club unable to boast the top goalscorer or assister. It is unlikely that they will catch up this season unfortunately, but there is always next year.

The club has finally bowed out of the Euro Cup. The club can be very proud after some excellent victories, the most impressive coming in the last two months with victory over Arsenal. Unfortunately we went out to the defeated finalists Norwich.

The club has also managed to win the League Cup over the last two months, as well as progress to the final the Scottish Cup for the second time in two years.

Transfers

The club is pleased to announce the signing of long-term target Pedro Ayub. The young Brazilian will join the club in June 2017 due to his tender age. The club has agreed to pay £675,000 for the player.

Yearly Training Summary

Assistant Manager, Neil Murray, has published this years yearly training summary. It makes excellent reading for both the first team and the youth team.

The following players have shown signs of progression this year within the first team: Mark O'Hara, Robert Adam and Ryan Gauld.

Two players have progressed remarkable over the past year. Patsy Warren and Gregor McDonald. Both have been in and around the first team this season and will hopefully be able progress again next season.
The following players have shown signs of progression this year within the youth team: George Henderson and Stevie Grant. The following three players have improved significantly: Tommy Byrne, Ewan Hall and Stephen Haining.

End of Season Summary

It is over, the year draws to an end and Rangers once more are the best team in Scotland. It has been a very long season and the squad has been stretched this year due to me loaning out too many players at the start of the season. But we won, and what a way to win the league back.

In terms of personal statistics the club performed poorly, coming second in goals and assists, although not by such a great margin and feared earlier in the season.

After yet another successful year, it is perhaps unsurprising that Rangers players have managed to win a number of awards including: Football Writers' Player of the Year, Manager of the Year, Writers' Manager of the Year, Writers' Young Player of the Year, Young Player of the Season and Young Player of the Year.

The Rangers team of the year is out and has the surprise inclusion of Ian Black, who I felt was poor most of the time, with the exclusion of Graham who played more games and more difficult games at that. The fans have also decided that Julien Lemarchand is their player of the year.

I know, they got to the final and their squad was nothing special, of all the teams to lose to after beating Napoli and Arsenal, think the favourite tag effected the team talk and players

Finances

Two seasons ago the club made a profit of £11,010,315. Last season the club remains in profit, bringing in £15,373,518. I had hoped for a bigger increase, especially with excellent progress in the Euro Cup and the gate receipts and prize money that comes with it. This lack of profit can partly be put down to the £3,800,000 redevelopment of the clubs youth facilities and the £4,800,000 paid to shareholders. The club biggest loses have been: tax (£18,439,375), match day expenses (£9,460,039), ground maintenance (£9,460,039) and other (£9,480,051).
The wage budget continues to rise, unfortunately players expect a decent wage in this league, however the highest remains on £10,000 and he, Kalaba, was injured for much of last season so I do not feel it was money well spend so the axe might fall during pre-season if I get any others. I should point out that with some many young players out there the club will be wiling to let anyone go if the price is right, except Garry Graham, who shall be my clubs talisman.

The Team

The squad has won the Scottish Premier League and is, therefore, more than adequate to defend the title they have claimed; especially if you consider they won the League Cup and Scottish Cup as well. My weakest position is right back after Alan Hutton returned to Aston Villa. I shall also be looking for a new right-winger, but that will most likely be a youth player to compliment Barrie McKay.
The three standout players at the club are: Garry Graham, Lukasz Fabianski and Julien Lamarchand. All three players featured heavily for the club last season, except for Lemarchand who was unfortunately injured towards the end of the season.

The club has a young team, as two of the star players are testimony too, which has several future stars in it. The standout youth players are: Gregor McDonald, Patsy Warren and Robert Adam. All three players featured for the club last season, unfortunately Adam did not get enough games as I had hoped but Donnelly was in amazing form all season.

The Staff

The club has lost our under-19 goalkeeping coach, Alan Rough, and goalkeeping coach, Jim Stewart, both of whom have retired from the game for good. The club need to replace both these coaches, with preference given to Scots. I have also decided that the club has too many coaches and will have to cut back on some of the less abled.

Friendlies

The club has played five friendlies this pre-season, with all five taking place at Ibrox Stadium. As ever I arranged two friendlies against major clubs; this years opponents were Manchester United and Lyon. The friendlies generated £2,077,000 for the club, an in crease of £321,000 on last season. The friendlies were arranged between qualifiers for the Champions League.

The club did reasonably well in these friendlies, performing well against Manchester United and Lyon despite defeats. This season the crowds are up by 300 on this time last season, which 1,600 since I took over the club.

Staff Change

There have been several changes of staff over the course of pre-season. Some of them forced, while other are done due to the size of the current backroom staff. The forced changes are in goalkeeper coach and under-19 goalkeeper as the previous holders of these posts retired. In the post of goalkeeping coach I have appointed Neil Sullivan, who has joined the club from Derby County for a fee of £17,000. Sullivan has joined till 2020 on £650 per week. For the under-19 goalkeeping coach the club appointed Michael Watt to the role. Watt has been at the club since 2012 as a youth coach and has accepted his new role till 2020 on £450, an increase of £250 per week.
Over the summer Billy Kirkwood, Under-19 Manager, left the club by mutual content, agreeing a fee of £10,000 to terminate his contract. The club has promoted Ricky Sbragia to the post of Under-19 Manager. Sbragia agreed to take the post till 2020 on £500 per week.
To fill the void that now exists in my youth coaching set up the club has brought in two new coaches. The club is pleased to welcome home Barry Ferguson, who has agreed to join the club till 2021 on £220 per week. He has been joined by former Montrose defender Paul Watson, who has joined the club till 2018 on £220 per week. The club has also removed Andrew Corbett from its staff due to his poor ability to work with youngsters.
The club has also terminated the employment of Arthur Albiston, who had served the club loyally since 2012, however he has not progress to an acceptable standard over the last few seasons and the club does not need five coaches.

The club has signed Ze Roberto, no not the legend, as a scout till 2021 on £500 per week. I think it is vital to have a South American scout as that is where all the best youth players seem to come from. Ze Robert is perfect for this with his judging of potential being 19.

Affiliations and Loans
This season the club has sent out four players on loan to help Berwick hopefully survive in the Scottish Second Division. The players are: Greg Pascazio, Roddy Hodge, Lewis Donaldson and veteran Dean Shiels. Shiels's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and his £8,000 contract shall not be renewed, this is his last chance of glory for the club. I did try and sell him for £10,000 but there were no takers unfortunately.

The club has also loaned out twelve players to several other club. These loans have also brought in extra income for the club, with us receiving £529,000. The biggest income was from John McGinn, who brought in £300,000, not bad for the £10,000 I paid for him.

Transfers

The end of an expensive transfer window comes to an end. The club has spent money for once, I had hoped to sell off some players but alas was unable. The club has spent a massive £6,000,000 on players this season, which is the most I have ever spent. I have finally resolved my right back problem, every year I have loaned one in, but this year I have finally brought one, and what a player. I signed Matias Di Paola for £3,000,000 from Boca Juniors. The eighteen year old has signed till 2020 on a £7,500 per week contract. He has an exciting future a head of him and I am sure I will make a massive profit on the player.

The club has also brought in a new right midfielder, a position we have lacked since I took over. Since 2012 we have used Barrie McKay who is naturally a striker, McKay will still remain operating on the right but now has competition in the shape of Karim Bousmaha. Bousmaha signed for £1,500,000 from Olympique de Marseille in a deal that will keep him at the club till 2019 on £7,000 per year.
The club has sold Ian Black for £300,000 to Shamrock Rovers. The thirty-one year old had only a year left on his contract and we will be able to lose £8,000 off the clubs wage budget. Unfortunately due to he Irish transfer window he will not leave till december. The club has already signed his replacement in the guise of old boy Charlie Adam, who has signed on a free transfer. the club shall pay him £6,000 per week.
The club has also signed three youth players as well. One, Daniel Varini, shall feature in the first team a lot this season and is now my third choice centre-back. I signed him from Zurich for £850,000, he has signed till 2019 on a £6,000 per week contract. The club has also signed Stephen Boyd from St Johnstone for £250,000, the young centre midfielder has already featured for Scotland's Under-19s. He has agreed to stay at the club till 2019 on £500 per week. Finally, the club has signed Stewart Davidson from Livingston for £325,000, beating off interest from Celtic in the process. He has agreed to a three year contract on £750 per week. The youngster has already been loaned out to Peterborough for £35,000.
The club has released eleven youth players who did not make the grade, including Jamie Mills, Blair Currie and Craig Halkett. As well as this the club has sold Darren Ramsey to Derry City for £10,000 and the promise of 50% of any profits made on the youngster. The club also sold Andy Murdoch to Hamilton for £5,000 and the promise of 50% of any future profits made on the player.

News

The has renewed the contract Garry Graham. Graham's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has agreed to stay till 2021. The player has increased his wage from £3,000 to £10,000 but I can begrudge him this as he is one of the best players in Scotland.
A number of milestones were reached by the club this month. In the clubs opening game, against Dundee United, Ryan Donnelly scored his 125th goal of his career, 100 of those have come for Rangers. In the same game Lemarchand made his 100th career league game. In the game against Raith Stuart Armstrong played in his 25th league appearance for the club.

Summary

The club has started well in the league, winning all three games we have played in convincing fashion. This has given us an early lead in the league on Celtic who have managed to draw with Motherwell and lose to Hibernian. It is already looking good for the club.
Due to the club only playing three games, compared to other teams four, it is unsurprising that the club has not won Player of the Month or Young Player of the Month. However, we did win Manager of the Month as we remain unbeaten.
The club has not performed well in terms of individual statistics, but with our European commitments the squad has been heavily rotated recently so it is perhaps unsurprising.
The club has reached the group stages of the Champion League and have received £7,470,000 for reaching this level, which more than covers the expense of players this season. We have been given the group of death fought, with Rangers facing: Juventus, Barcelona and Olympique de Marseille.

Brilliant mate. I must say you are running the club excellent, keep it up!

Thank you, I am glad the club is making money again, bit annoyed I spent so much money, I thought I would get the £2,500,000 value of Duffie but only got loan offers. Did reject bids of about £5 million for Lemarchand and O'Hara

The club is pleased to announce two new sponsorship deals. the club has agreed a four year kit sponsorship deal worth £638,000 per year. The club has also found a general sponsor for two years worth £53,060 per year. Although not sums of money it is a sign that the club is moving forward.

Two milestones have been reached over the last two months. Stuart Armstrong has made his 150th career league appearance in a game against Inverness, in the same game he scored his 25th career goal. David Templeton also reached his 100th career league appearance for Rangers.

Summary

The last two months have seen us remain unbeaten, despite some near run games such as against Motherwell when we left it late to score our two goals. The club has been conceding too many goals, but that might be because we have played very few home games. The club is pleased to get an amazing win against Celtic in the league, however it was ruined due to injuries to Robert Adam and Ryan Donnelly up front. The club has had to reply upon Gregor McDonald to lead the attack. The club is now eight points clear of Celtic with a game in hand. Celtic have dropped points Dundee United, where they lost 3-2.
The club has not won many awards, partly due to injuries to my top players and squad rotation for champions league matches. Despite this the club has won Manager of the Month both months and Young Player of the Month both months.
Again the club has not performed well in terms of personal statistics, we are unlikely to do well in terms of goals as we have lost both our strikers over the last two months.

The club is now half way through our Champions League group, we have done very well earning two respectable draws against Juventus and Barcelona. These results have given us £868,000 for these two draws in prize money. We unfortunately are bottom of our group though so we shall try and keep going and get at lest one win.

View attachment 350823 View attachment 350824 View attachment 350825

The club has also done well in domestic competitions, winning all of our games and reaching the semi final of the League Cup.

Oh forgot to ask, how do you manage to find all the young talent!? I don't think you have found a dud yet lol!

Well first season I knew who to sign with Donnelly and O'Hara. Second season I knew how good Gauld was as Arsenal have signed him in past games so knew i should be trying to get him. Other players I have relied my scouts really, using Murray as the final scout report before I sign as he has 20 for judging potential and 19 for ability. Also I look who is interested in them, like Lomarchand I thought was ok but expensive for wages, then saw United were after him and offered him a contract. Similar for Davidson, would never have signed him if Celtic did not want him. Also, check under-19/21/main international teams. Normally a lot have people unattached or low value. Also a great way to see the new regans.

Always check Brazil when you can, they are normally cheap early on due to min fee release clause, but I am trying to sign Scots so resisting a bit.

Really recommend signing Duffie if you can get him on the cheap, he is good but does not progress very fast till he is at Rangers with the staff and facilities.

As for not signing a dud, I did guess I have been lucky, I have signed some players who I worry are not improving fast enough like Bromage, Humphries, Amos, Leipertz and Gandola. I imagine if i played them they would be ok but not good enough. But as they were all free, or in Amos case 80,000 it is ok.

I did have one dud in Fulton, he was shocking, only played him in my friendlies but he never did well in them, if they shot they scored, so I was lucky to sell him for £20,000

Gregor McDonald increased his pay to £500 this week after playing his 15th league game for the club. This season the talented striker has played eleven games and has scored six goals in the league.

Three played achieved milestones this month. Lukasz Fabianski played his 175th career league appearance in the match against Hibernian at Easter Road. Matias Di Paola made his 25th career league appearance in the match against bottom placed Livingston. Finally, Kyle Hutton made his 125th league appearance for Rangers in the match against Ross County, a game in which he scored twice helping us to a close fought victory.
It is that time of the year again, contracts time, the time I hate the most, with agents who hate me and players who think playing in the SPL is worth me paying them nearly £30,000 a week, yeah dream on. The club has secured two players, both of whom wanted close to £20,000 per week, and one wanting more! Yes I am looking at you Ryan Gauld!! Ok this rant might go on a while in rant mode. To sum up, the club has renewed the contracts of Ryan Gauld and Lee Wallace, both of whom has signed for £15,000 per week. Gauld has signed till 2021, while Wallace is here till 2019. They are now both the clubs highest earners, but both players deserve the title as they are both brilliant players. The club is still negotiating with Barrie McKay, but no rush as no one is interested in him like Gauld, who was being courted by Everton and Newcastle United.
Summary

The club remain with a 100% success rate in the premier league, I have no idea how, and we have had some close matches, but somehow we are doing so I can not complain. Think the defence needs working on though. Lemarchand always seems to go running out of position to head the ball but either misses it or head it back into the opponents path. the club is now 11 points clear of Celtic who continue to falter. It might be because they brought too many player in over the summer, signing six players for £6,250,000.
It is impressive that Dundee United has the best defence in the league. The lynchpin in the defence, Gavin Gunning, is up free a free transfer at the end of the season, but I am not sure if I will make an offer or not. Also one of their players Keith Hill has performed incredibly well. I regret not signing him on a free when I had a chance now, but his contract is again up at the end of the season with Everton interested in him.
In terms of the awards over the last two months the club did not win anything on November, mainly because we did not play many league games due to European. However, on loan Jordan McGhee picked up Young Player of Month. In December we picked up Manager of the Month and Young Player of the month awards.
In terms of personal statistics the club is doing poorly in terms of goals, mainly due to injuries that have hit Robert Adam and Ryan Donnelly, Gregor McDonald has done well to keep the goals going but has not started as many games as most strikers in the league.
We are out of the Champions League without even recording a win at the group stage. We managed four draws out of six games, which is impressive when considering who we played. But we have recorded a record, we are now the highest scoring team in the Champions League history (on the game) with 32 goals this season, which is pretty **** impressive. We will push on next year with our young squad.

Transfers

The club had a quiet transfer window in January, with on player coming in and one player going out. Sebastian Faure left the club to join Zürich. The sale brought in £2,500,000 for the club. I did not want to sell him massively but he did not get a look in this season. The club also brought in Rey Rodríguez on a free transfer from Tauro. The Panama international has joined till 2021 on £2,000 per week.
Summary

The club has done finally dropped points over the last two months. We draw with Dundee United after conceding three late goals in the second half. We also lost to Celtic at Celtic Park. Despite this the club has performed well and are nineteen points clear of our old firm rivals.

View attachment 352409

The club has won a number of awards over the last two months, including Manager of the Month, Player of the Month and two Young Player of the Month awards. Although one of those was for Jordan McGhee who is out on loan at St Mirren.

Personal statistics, like all season, make grim reading for the club, I think I might need to invest in a new forward next season to try and give myself the edge over my Old Firm rivals.

We continue to progress in the cup competitions, reaching the Semi FInal of the Scottish Cup and the Final of the League Cup.

Youth Prospects

The club has had a new year of youth intakes in March. This year there has only been two player, Kevin Craig and Robert Moyes, that is worthy of mention. Both look like an excellent prospect who will be challenging for the first team in only a few years.

Cup Competition

The club has managed to win the League Cup and the Scottish Cup again this season. Both cups are testament to the domination my team have on our SPL rivals. For the second year in a row we have met Celtic in the final of the Scottish Cup.

League Summary

The club has emerged victorious in the league, with a massive 23 point lead over Celtic and 43 over third place Aberdeen. Due to Rangers excellent European record last season two clubs qualify for the Champions League this season, unfortunately giving Celtic an extra income. This season we did concede slightly more goals but this is due to bringing through our young keeper Patsy Warren, who is now the clubs number 1.

The club has done well in terms of awards over the last three months, winning 2 Manager of the Month awards, 1 Player of the Month award and all 3 Young Player of the Month awards, although that includes Jordan McGhee who is out on loan.
In terms of personal statistics the club has performed badly, mainly through squad rotation and injuries. Ryan Donnelly only managed to clock up 18 goals in 21 appearances; someway off Tony Watt’s 34 in 34. However, Bousmaha is joint 2nd in terms of assist.

End of Season Awards

This season Manager of the Year went to Aberdeen’s Danny Lennon, who has masterminded them into 3rd place after a dismal year the season before. Lennon also picked up Writers’ Manager of the Year. I was in second place for both awards, with Neil Lennon back in 3rd place.

This season the Player of the Season was Lewis MacLeod, with Rangers’ players Julian Lemarchand and Garry Graham in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Player of the Year went to Tony Watt, who was an assassin in front of goal all season.
This season the Young Player of the Year award goes to Ryan Gauld for the second year running, the Young Player of the Season award goes to Mark O'Hara, and finally the Writers' Young Player of the year goes to Karim Bousmaha.

View attachment 352513 View attachment 352514 View attachment 352515

Finally, the club is pleased to announce that Gregor McDonald has won the U-19 Player of the Season. The young forward has been amazing all season, scoring 13 goals in 22 starts, which has earned him an average rating of 7.30. Really proud of him!

View attachment 352517

The team of the year has finally been announced and it is a dead heat, with 5 Celtic players and 5 Rangers players on it. A big well done to Patsy Warren, Lee Wallace, Stuart Armstrong, Lewis MacLeod and Julian Lemarchand. The other player on the list was Jordan McGhee, the on loan Rangers centre back who I picked up on a free from Hearts.

Affiliation and Loans

Berwick Rovers have completed their first season in the Scottish Division Two; they finished 8th and thus stayed up, but only by two points. Hopefully next season they can push on and try and work their way towards the top half of the division, I am sure I can send them some players to help them in this ambition. I was also thinking about getting a new affiliation with either a lower league Scottish club or a club that will enable to avoid work permits.

I am pleased with Roddy Hodge who performed amazingly well considering where the club finished over all. Donaldson did not play as well as last season but still did impressively well. I am less impressed with Pascazio but he still have excellent potential.

The club also loaned out sixteen players to a variety of clubs, including seven to Scottish Premier League clubs. Below is a complete list of my loaned out players:

There have been some good performances from a couple of players, most notably McGhee, who I am torn between loaning out for an extra year or bringing him through to the first team. I have have a similar headache with Gasparotto, Moine, Gandola and Hoult. Some of those who failed to impress will be leaving the club over the summer.

One of the best stories on here! Keep up the good work.

Cheers, I will do more detail next season, been rather frustrated this season with having to renew contracts, but will be getting rid of at least one big contract this season, maybe two.
