I'm always interested in good/your work as it proved to be great for me in the past. However I never managed to choose the right approach/choice and somehow keep give up on this.

I don't want to be a whiner at all but don't "
to want be a pain too, always here complaining about my failures

I think the biggest mistake people make is that whilst they change approach/version and adapt to how the opponent might play, they don't change the kind of players they use. Take an example , like Man City, for some tough matches, I would use Yaya as the AMC whilst in the " easier ones", I would use Silva there, just like Valencia would be the better choice over Nani in some matches when playing with Utd. So, think more about your players, less about the version The same goes for strikers. If you want to exploit the space behind the line of defence, then Use Cavani but if wanting to hold possession and drag them onto you, then use Ibra.

i think what most want is a quick win tac that works right out of the box but with yours you need time but if you give it time your team will be awsome and the results will come if not right away but thay will come i should know i 1 of them if it does not work after 3 games i change then i think wtf are you doing tbh know what she is doing just keep the faith and i will from now on sorry for the long post its just my 2cents for what its worth

You definitely make a point there. I don't have much patience. If I'm loosing or not playing in the way I want, I always delete my save and don't try to get things better. This happens with TBH tactics. I keep saying that I like this kind of approach (which is true. If I were a manager, this is how I'll put my prepare my team) but somehow I want a "win all matches tactic". It's incoherent, I know, but just telling my "story". I do what TBH says and I try to select the correct players to the game and what will be needed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'll tell you an example of this: recently I've played until February with Aston Villa. I was sitting 9th, having a draw with almost all the "big ones" and with one victory over league leaders Man.Utd at home. I was even with the slight possibility of getting European football. This was a great achievement right? Suddenly, I start to lose games and I lose my patience and delete the save. -.-All this to explain that I do want to learn how to play the game (with this or other tactics) and enjoy it, winning as much as I can. This is my problem. That's what I was trying to say in my previous post Cheers TBH. You should organize a conference about tactics haha. Pretty sure that people around the world would go there!

Third season with the 451 split with brighton. Ended the second season 4th in premier league, went with a really lucky closing month from 11th to 4th. Sold Husband and Palmer for 30~M total. And was swimming in money (88M budget) Brought in romero van ginkel siggurson and alberto and 2 pretty solid regens. December third season and I'm second in the EPL +18GD and 3 points behind Arsenal. But my wing back (corchia) and my inside forward (van ginkel) have been absolutely beastly this season, both on 8 goals my CF is really unhappy, I assume since he never scores, and his development has pretty much stalled, he hasn't gained any stats this season (it's not his salary I raised that above what he wanted) I used mitrovic as CF but this season alone he lost 7M in value and I was wondering if I should play without a striker? What do you think

Thats some really good results. Care to upload som screens of the final league table from season 1, 2 and when fininshed, the 3rd season ?.
As for the striker, just hang in there

I'm not sure how I can view the league table of previous seasons, might be because I'm on a laptop resolution and the standard skin doesn't show certain menus.

Also Schalke just paid 40M upfront for my striker, they're in contract negotiations now

If those are screens from when using the new update 14.2, but with a save started with the 14.1.4, then its because the familiarity has taken a hit after the update. Previously , it was bugged and now that SI has sorted how it should be calculated, the numbers are used differently. It will go up though so don't worry

Naturally, I have not tried them all but the ones I have looked at seems to work just as good and produce the same kind of football as intended. As its basiclly the same approach as I have been using since FM10, one that have worked in all editions and patches since, I would be surprised if the don't come through in this update to .

My favourite is and will always be the SPLIT 451. I don't have FM loaded atm so I can't really say what other formation suits them the best. Just don't expect too much of them the first season. You will see results going against you at times despite you using the current approach, man management and preperation simply because all I takes is a slight dip in form or that the opponent is having a good game. Don't look too much as single results but instead at the league table. This way, it does not matter if you manage to win 2-1 at Old Trafford only to loose the next game home against Stoke. The results will be inconsistent because your players are

Have you changed the Split 451, compared to the SS's? I downloaded because I liked the Treq role for the AMC (Was going to play Swansea with it) but when I downloaded it, he's a Attacking Mid - Support


EDIT - Nvm, I found out why, I was using the "Quick Counter" and you've changed the roles per tactic I see now Sorry for posting before checking

Which would you suggest for Swansea? I was thinking Quick Counter, because they have good speed in their team, but I'm not too sure

Which would you suggest for Swansea? I was thinking Quick Counter, because they have good speed in their team, but I'm not too sure

As a set, I would probably load up Control and Quick Counter as the 2 most obvious choices. The 3rd version would be to suit your approach as a manager. If wanting to be more cautious, then load up Cautious Counter. If wanting to be more attacking, then use really attacking

Second half of the season went worse than expected though. Had a lot of injuries and didn't have a great squad, loaned out too many players without a recall clause. And I forgot to register my January signings in the CL.

Sold Mitovic for 40m in januari which I used to sign a ton of good regens. I replaced him with Drogba for the time being but he's getting old.

Just ended the third season. Went pretty great. Won the Capital One Cup, sixth round of FA Cup, semi finals in Champions League. Fourth in PL. Second half of the season went worse than expected though. Had a lot of injuries and didn't have a great squad, loaned out too many players without a recall clause. And I forgot to register my January signings in the CL.

Sold Mitovic for 40m in januari which I used to sign a ton of good regens. I replaced him with Drogba for the time being but he's getting old.

TBH, I decided I've to share this small joy in your thread, since every time I wrote in here is for complaining haha.

So, I've decided to setup my own formation. A standard 4-5-1 to ensure that we stay compact and have players in all the areas of the pitch. The whole approach is based (not a replica) on the counter-pressing setup. So far, so good. I've won 2 matches, without the other team have a single shot against my goalie (in the 3-1 it was from a penalty). And to bring even more joy, I've scored goals from pressing high up and then some quick transitions. I've applied some OI's too regarding their assistances and key players. Was very proud of myself haha.
I'm trying to develop another approach based on a more standard mentality and to reduce the space in the defense/midfield. Also, I do want to incorporate an AMC, when the morale and other stuff are better. But let things go slowly

Probably I'll lose my next games but this already made my day
