I'd be stoked if we got Hazard or Mata. Both at a similar price and both are serious quality.

im all with Mata. i dont think Lille will let Hazard go, even with a big fee.

its just a Mata of Time!!!

Newcastle have brought in two French trialists. Darnel Situ and William Remy from RC Lens. Both scored for Reserves, so I hope we can get them both in :D

Yeah, trialists, and also Mehdi Abeid who signed earlier this summer. Ba is French, born and raised there, just opted to play for Senegal due to his heritage....

Wow, thats 100% record. Why are you signing only French players? Its not like your manager is a French. Very much confused..

Newcastle "French" United.

Liverpool FC striker David Ngog closing in on Bolton Wanderers switch - News - Liverpool FC - Liverpool EchoOUT-OF-FAVOUR Liverpool striker David Ngog is closing in on a move to Bolton Wanderers.
Trotters chiefs have been locked in talks regarding the French striker for the past fortnight, and are now on the verge of securing a £4m deal for the 22-year-old, who is surplus to requirements at Anfield.
Ngog, who has one year remaining on his Liverpool contract, had been expected to leave the club earlier this summer when he was given permission to speak to Sunderland. That move, however, fell down when he was unable to agree personal terms with the Wearsiders.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle admitted after his side’s win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday that he was desperate to add a striker to his ranks, having admitted defeat in his attempts to sign Daniel Sturridge on loan from Chelsea.
Wanderers would be able to match Ngog’s Anfield salary, and could tie up the transfer in time for their clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
Ngog has made 94 appearances since arriving at Anfield from Paris St. Germain in the summer of 2008, scoring 19 goals.
But the arrivals of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez back in January have pushed him further down the pecking order under Kenny Dalglish.
He was an unused substitute for the Reds’ Premier League opener with Sunderland on Saturday, and with Dalglish looking to trim his squad before making any further additons, a move appears in the best interests of all concerned.
The Echo understands, however, that Ngog’s imminent move is not linked to any Reds bid for Gary Cahill, who has been touted as a potential Reds target.
Liverpool, along with Arsenal and Tottenham, are reported to be interested in the 25-year-old defender, who is valued by Wanderers at around £15m.
But though Dalglish would like to add a centre-back to his squad before the end of the transfer window, a move for Cahill - who also has one year left on his contract - is unlikely at that price.
Dalglish would also, ideally, like to replace Ngog in his squad, but has the option of using Dirk Kuyt as forward cover.
Meanwhile, defender Daniel Agger will be fit for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal.
The Dane picked up a dead leg in the game against Sunderland at the weekend, but has made a full recovery, and will be available for selection at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s Alex Song, though, will miss out, having admitted an FA charge of violent conduct. Television replays showed the Cameroon midfielder stamping on Newcastle’s Joey Barton during the sides’ goalless draw at St James’ Park on Saturday, and he will now serve a three-game ban.

H
aha, I think I should give myself a pat on the back for this failure of a post.

Vukcevic and Ibisevic close to joining Blackburn and their 'Eastern European revolution', talk that they are speaking to Salihovic and Torje as well.

The owners are definitely trying to sign some talents, they have finally realised -seemingly- that the Eastern European market has cheaper players on less wages than the likes of Ronaldinho/Beckham...Who knew.

they have made some shrewd signings so far no doubt... David Goodwillie looks very exciting and they have been bringing in good talent although the problem now is if Keane will stay or go considering he was caught on a drink-driving charge and according to me, I doubt the players will respect him much if he continues to do silly things like that adding the fact that he does not have the greatest of track records to justify his appointment so from the start he would have had to work doubly hard to gain their respect... what a great job he is doing ;)

Almost forgot, Pablo Osvaldo should be a Roma player come next weekend...Everything is now in place.

Fee is around 24m euros rising to 27m euros.

Atleti have turned their attention to Falcao, homed in on him viciously and I would guess they will get him eventually for around 32m euros+Salvio.

:( Porto are getting ripped apart before the UCL starts, I really think if they kept that team and manager they would have done very well in it.
