Update 13.2.3 released

Played 6 games of my Barnsley save and it's clear to see they have done a lot of work on the defending. Where I use to have games with 4 CCCs each now teams have about 1 on average maybe 2. Crossing has been sorted a bit by the looks as well, only seen 2, one from me another from Newcastle. On a good note my corner tactic works a treat on this patch, 5 corners in 6 games!
 
Yes the game is 100% legit as i pre ordered it from steam so i would get the beta version before the full game was released! also, i have automatic updates on and Steam is online!!

I did two seasons on the first release engine with two vastly different teams and I did just fine on them both.
Game was far from perfect but it wasn't unplayable or unfit for purchase or whatever else you want to possibly call it.

Every game will need patching, it's simple. Every game released has had issues, even back when it wasn't possible to update said games. Expecting a game to come out perfect is unreasonable and somewhat idiotic.

OK then. First one to try would be to restart Steam. If that fails, verify the integrity of game cache.

Although I still find it strange, is this the first time you have noticed? There have been several updates since 13.0.0

I never really realised that it wasnt updating as I havent played that often since recently ... Can I ask how do I verify the inegrity of the game cache?

Wait a minute. where are you looking when it says 13.0.0? Are you looking at the game status page?

I don't expect perfect, I guess it's idiotic to want a FM where goals aren't scored from far post crosses every game without fail, or players like Bale and Lennon can dribble past 5 players and run the ball through the keeper into the net. Out of me and 3 other friends who bought the game only 1 persevered and all I ever heard from him were complaints about how sh*t the defending and keepers were. He likened playing the game to 'swimming uphill in treacle with a rock tied around your waist'.

EDIT: In case people are gonna jump in with comments again this is referring to the first full release, I am enjoying the update a lot, they've done a great job with the fixes.

Yes.

In Steam, go to View (Top Left) then click on Games Details. In your list, right click FM2013 and select "Properties". Click on the Local Files tab and then the verify button is there.

What this does is check your FM2013 installation, it then will fix and redownload files if it sees that the game is missing any or is not up to date. It's worth noting that during busy periods, this process sometimes needs to be done more than once.

Ah, and Mike has also made a good point there.
 
Im sorry for wasting your time but I was looking at the completely wrong bit!! I searched on google and realised how stupid I'd been! It must have updated in the background whilst I was on my pc ... I was looking at the version bit when starting up a new game instead of looking in 'about football manager'

Ah, you meant database. Not to worry.
 
Might be co-incidence but I have played quarter of a season on new patch (FMC) there are more red cards with harsh / firm refs. I have tackling ( default ) btw. Seen a few good goals with lofted threw passes from midfield.
 
Is anyone else having a problem with penalties in this patch?

I am in mid October and have had 4 penalties for me and 2 against me, and they have all been saved. This may seem normal however ALL 6 have been placed down the middle. Rooney has taken 2 and RVP has taken 2 for me and they just pass it down the middle. Is anyone else encountering this? Sorry but it's really frustrating :(
 
I have an issue when hosting an online game, keep getting random crash dumps, mainly after matches when people proceed from that point? Only happened ever since this update, anyone know how to fix this? Would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't noticed.
Referee totals from my new game: 72 matches / 107 yellow / 3 red / 11 penalties. Seems somewhat normal to me.
 
Much better ME now. Big improvement. Regarding a post above re.penalties, can't say I have noticed more being missed only more being given. But nothing major
 
I've been experiencing a few instances of run time error crashes since this update
