I can't see us getting close to winning it soon though.
Our league is definitely improving & and next season will be the first year we have 2 champions league places. Valur will have the other champions league place, so hopefully they can step up to the challenge.

Season Review
It was another brilliant season for us.
We won the quadruple again.
We made the champions league group stage as well.

Olli Nygard was our top goal scorer with 13 league goals. He only played 13 league games so he scored an average of a goal a game which is amazing. He was 2nd place in the league top scorers list.
Olli Nygard also had the best average rating in the league with 7.97.
Juan Manuel Paredes had 8 assists which was 2nd best in the league.

Bitterly disappointed with a draw. We were 2-0 up at half time and Lyon went down to 10 men minutes into the 2nd half. They still managed to mount a comeback and draw the game 2-2.

We manage to sneak 2nd place against all odds. We had the same record as Lyon with 1 win, 4 draws & 1 loss, but managed 2nd place on goal difference. I'm delighted.

I agree it does seem a bit dodgy when someone gets very far in Europe very quickly with a very small team even if they have had luck with the draws.
If I can win the CC by 2040 i'd be very happy & if I can find some more Wonderkids (like Viktor Mar Gardarsson & Patrick Knudsen) who knows, I could even do it before 2040.

It's good you're forced to looked at domestic talent though, it can only help the national side at the same time!

That's true plus it makes it a bit more difficult, and I have a few young Icelanders who hopefully can take the national team to the next level. Iceland have made it to 2 of the last 3 EURO's so they're not doing too bad.
While I can't imagine a cold rainy Tuesday night in Reykjavik would appeal to Neymar, the women should make up for the awful weather .

Well that's what happens when you underestimate your Fierce rivals, who are also Iceland's 2nd best side. I played a weakened side thinking I could still get a good win, but I was very wrong. Valur just soaked up the pressure and hit my team on the counter. That's us out of the Icelandic Cup in a very disappointing fashion.
