What do you want to see in FM 2015

difficulty level (will be hard to do that i suppose but FM 14 is far, far, far too easy)
club captains
re-introduction of fan days
automatic testimonials
club doctors

huh? They're are still captains in FM14?

you have captains and assistant captains but in real life you get club captains at some clubs. for instance an old player who hardly gets a game but is still there.

I'm still not with you - there is nothing stopping you doing this at the moment. On my Arsenal save, 34 year old Rever is captain, but hardly ever plays.

Be able to remove a nation for merging nations in data editor. i.e North and republic of ireland. or even multiple nations.

A club captain is different to a team captain.

For instance a club captain deals with player bonuses etc - represents the players basically while the team captain represents them on the pitch.

Man Utd had a club, team and assistant captain for a while
So did Celtic

When I add some additional comments (usually something controversial) in a press conference it should actually have some impact.

- A shout for players to "Go down Easily". 9 times out of 10 will result in a free kick to the opposition and a yellow card, but in the final of the Champions League and you are 1-0 down in the final that would be a realistic shout.

- Different Attacking and defensive tactics. For example, my wingers. When attacking I want the as wide as possible, but when defending I want them to sit really narrow.

- The ability to watch training. Dont make it a necessity, but could be good to see players pace, penalty taking, dribbling etc. Also bring back more in-depth training.

- The option to shout at players during a game. Encourage them if they are down, shout at them if they make a stupid mistake, praise them for scoring.

- To be able to spend your staff wages on something, or invest it in a club.

I really like your first idea (about the team instruction to "Go down easily") but i do think 9/10 is complete ridiculous! I mean it's a good idea but the developers would really need to get ME balance perfect for it to have a good effect. 9/10 far to weighte in your own favour!
Good idea though! :D

A more in-depth set piece creator. Like in Fifa, where you can actually set a specific run you want your player to take! This will make corners and free-kicks so much better!

Backward save compatibility so that those of us who like to go on and on with a save can upgrade without starting all over again. I know you couldn't do this 100% because of all the changes. But player stats haven't changed from one FM to the next for a while, so it would surely be possible to load the player database, league standings and results history, and let the player pick up where they let off.

Preferred shirt numbers and middle names for regens. Just adds a touch of individuality.

Being able to go give your team rest in 1-2 clicks, instead of having the click on all players separetly.
Would be awesome if you could say like: everyone below x% gets 1 day rest, below y% 2 days etc...

I say this every year...

Being able to manage reserve and academy teams on their own to gain reputation if you want? And a camera view from the dug out? It was in LMA on the ****** ps2 so im sure SI can incorporate it!

Press Conferences, I want to be able to do this:

Goal.com: What do you think of Jose Mourinho on a personal level though?
Me: He's a ******* **** head, what he is doing in football is beyond me.

Goal.com: You seem to really dislike Jose Mourinho, can you tell us why?
Me: Is it really that hard to tell, the guy is an arrogant... big headed fool!

Something along those lines, I really do like Mourinho, he is an excellent manager, I only used him as an example, because he is well.. one of the most arrogant top flight managers in the world!

Also, for Barcelona to buy Neymar they had to pay his family, etc. It would be great to have more personal control over their families finances, like for example in contract negotiations a player could demand the club buy his family a house, give them a steady source of income, etc.

More realism, if Messi was listed for sale for.. ?150M at Barcelona most European giants would get a loan to buy him. (Listing Messi for sale is NOT REALISTIC but theoretically should a super player be listed, then every giant in the world will be begging for a loan.

I know this one is probably unlikely to ever happen for a long list of reasons, but if SI could team up with a company who already make football games (EA, Konami) to incorporate their football match engine into FM as I imagine it would make the ME much better and allow SI to make the rest of the game even better. I know EA wouldn't but just added their name as example. I'm sure it would be very difficult but might be cool.

First time posting, long time lurker.

The things i'd like to see, (I play Full FM, not Classic)

1: A return to the tactical sliders, I really don't like the way a defensive line is either on the halfway line or chatting with your goalkeeper. I always found a good middle ground with sliders to be wary of long ball counter attacks but still be a passing option for the CM's but that doesnt seem possible.

As it stands the pidgeon hole tactical option buttons seem like a really clunky and unrefined way of doing things in a game that demands so much attention to detail where even 1 point difference in a skill for a player will mean a goal or not.

2: Speaking of tactics the roles thing is really good (BWM etc) but I don't agree with not allowing me to dictate whether a role tracks back or not or not allowing me to dictate their movement off the ball. (As an example, this season Jose Mourinho has taught (forced, cajoled, pleaded) Eden Hazard that he needs to fulfil defensive responsibilities, the same with Willian as a Trequartista in FM he sits in the centre circle when your team doesnt have possession, whereas Willian presses and hounds defensive players. There no way to do that in FM and the roles whilst being a good start, need to be expanded or modified.

3: Training and Match preparation. This is my ultimate bug bear since the inception of the new systems.

Match Preparation, good idea in theory but I am super fed up of my players "forgetting" how to defend and attack set pieces in less than a month. This is compounded by the fact that I have spent the ENTIRE match preparation time teaching them this. In real life if I forgot what my boss spent 2 - 3 FULL DAYS telling me to do EVERY 3 WEEKS then I'd be sent the docs to be tested for a mental illness and then fired for what can only be described as willful ignorance of instructions. These being the same players who won't talk to you for YEARS cos you fined them for 2 red cards within a month. This must be fixed, I can't describe how wasteful and annoying it is to have to spend your match prep teaching players the same thing you already have when you're facing Barcelona and really need to be covering defensive positioning.

Further to this, why arent attack set pieces covered in you know, attacking? and Defending them covered in defensive positioning? It's just stupid. And you ALWAYS concede from set pieces if you ignore the message. So you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Next is training, are you seriously telling me that top flight teams sit there and think "hmm whats on the rota for this week? oh yeah the ENTIRE TEAM is learning how to attack. despite the defenders really needing to learn how to defend better" The only options I ever use is Balanced - in the vain hope that the correct players are being taught the correct things. Tactics at the start of the season (cos in 4 weeks of holiday the players have forgotten 2/3rds of what they spent the last YEAR doing EVERY DAY) and team cohesion occasionally. Needs a proper overhaul back to the old system ideally.

TL;DR

I appreciate this is an essay so in summary:

Much more tactical and role control.

Much more control over training and match prep.

No more selective memory players.

As the above has mentioned, I would like many more tactical features included:

1. Pressing - Instead of just the standard pressing, different types of pressing should be included. For example, if the opponents have it in their own half only one player presses but when they enter your half the team press as a pack. Just one of many examples.
2. Defensive Line - There should be a slider-type feature brought back. Maybe a small diagram of a pitch and you can drag the line to where you want the line to be. Defensive lines with and without the ball should be included.
3. Team Width - Can change depending if you have the ball or not (with=wider without=narrower)
4. More player instructions - As listed above Brother Zaah mentioned about tailoring player instructions from their roles to make exceptions such as making a more attacking player drop back without the ball but with the ball have a free roam for example.
5. Free-Kicks - A free-kick taker for crossing and for shooting. I don't want Ronaldo out wide whipping in a free-kick.
6. Corners - To actually create player runs and drag players to where you want them to stand when defending.
7. To have a completely different system depending on whether your team has the ball. E.g. A 4-2-3-1 when you have the ball but when you dont this transforms to a 4-5-1.
8. Team scout reports - More relevant details on the next opponent where the scout/*** man give you advice on who to look out for, what system to play etc.
9. Training - CBA to go into all details but basically more detailed as this is one of the most important aspects to Football Management. Match Prep also but this should be improved and be used in turn with the scout reports.
10. If i've been playing the same tactic for 10 years the players shouldn't keep forgetting it in 2 months in the summer.
11. In-game injury reports
12. Better shouts not just for team but for players also such as asking player your CB to go forward if losing or your tall striker to stay back when defending.

Much more detail for the tactic system is needed

Also, more managers leaving jobs at end of season. The only time I can get a job is halfway through a season. I would like to be able to pre-arrange to join a club at the end of the season.

Bring the old match rating method back!

REAL ratings with natural numbers! The decimal rating method is just stupid and non realistic.

Why all players begin with a 6.4 rating during a match???I never got it.Why 6.4 and not 6?
And what factors are taken into account for a rating of lets say 7.1?

My striker in a league match scored a hat-trick and he was rated 9.2...WHY?????????????????????

I would like to see a new playable mode, "Chairman Mode". Playing as a chairman, hire & fire a manager, manage finance etc. Kind of another quickplay & relaxing option.
