Im new to the forums and the game btw :) although i managed to win the prem in my first season with arsenal, into my 2nd season now currently lying in 4th 27 games in with 55 points, chelsea are top with 65 =/

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I tried to flip through various topics to see if anyone asked, but... what's the best role for Mario Gómez? I've tried playing him in a few, and despite him having great stats, he doesn't really stand out in any one of them particularly. I play with Werder Bremen, I have Aaron Hunt, Mesut Özil, and Marko Marin as Left Winger, CAM, and Right Winger respectively, Özil plays as Advanced Playmaker Attack, and I have Patrick Helmes as a Poacher on attack next to him. I tend to play Direct Passing, with a pretty quick tempo. If there's anything else you need to know, just ask.

I am with Liverpool approaching end of first season! my strikers are Voronin, Kuyt, and Torres! I play a 4-4-2

i also have Montolivo, Gerrard, Lucas and Masch to rotate in Central Midfied

i play Wide Midfielders Babel/Riera on the left and Benayoun/Kuyt on the right

Please advise on duties and roles!

Kuyt - Winger - Attack or Inside forward attack
Voronin - Target Man - Attack or Deep Lying
Montolivo - Advanced Playmaker - attack
Gerrard - Box to Box
Lucas - Dm role - Dm - Support

Do some of these roles apply in a flat 4-4-2? Especially for Lucas and Masch considering i can't play them in the holding position in a flat 4-4-2

play Masch in Ball winning Cm role - Support (retrain him to natural if he is not) and Gerrard as Box to Box next to him, rotate with Ricardo as Advanced Playmaker as well!
and the striking roles stay the same!

I've just started a new career with Sheffield United and finding some success with a 4-3-3 fomration - i.e.

FWD1 FWD2 FWD3.

FWD1 - Ched Evans
FWD2 - Vieri
FWD3 - Camara

Also have Richard Cresswell as my main sub FWD.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated


Not scoring a massive amount although I remain unbeaten in first 5 games. Can you advise on the roles I should give my strikers
