After Di Matteo - A Chelsea FC Story

CONTRACTS!

3 Year Contract Extensions:

Jacob Mellis - Will get a go at first team next season and I wanted to extend his ontract by a lot so I get good money if I sell him.
Ben Gordon - Has played brilliantly in the chances his got and is very good in rotation, he gets a big extension.

4 Year Contract Extensions:

Lewis Baker - Baker will be involved in more loans and I think this is a good amount of years to judge him to see if he is good enough.

5 Year Contract Extensions: Whether he continues to stay at Chelsea or get a loan, he is important for our future and I've tied him down for good years.

Players Leaving At End Of Season On A Bosman:

Hilario - Hilario is retiring and he will get another match one time for the club to show him we will mss him and he was a loyal servant.
Amin Affane - He didn't want to signm a contract extension, not sure why, but I don't really care I highly doubt he would ever make the first team.

Players I Will Look To Sign On A Bosman:

Krisztian Adorjan - A good young attacking midfieler for Liverpool that I think could rotate well at Celsea, he may require a loan first.

Kyle Ebicilio - He is young and very good techniqually. Would be loaned out but may have a future rotating in the centre of midfield one day.

January 1st, The Start Of The Transfer Window!

It's mid year transfer season, changes will be made, more money will come in then leave though. I had some deals pre-planned and they will happen now! It goes name/former or new team/money/position/age.

In:

Rodrigue Bongongue/SC Sedan Ardennes/350k/AMR/19 - As I'm trying to move Sturridge on, I let Lalkovic finish his loan and brought Bongongue. He has potential in my eyes and could turn out to be a very good backup. He will be third choice this season.

Nuno Inacio/Porto/1.4m/MC/17 - Signed him for such a bargain! He impressed me when Porto under 19s versed my reserves and has amazing attributes. He will spend the season at reserves and probably will get a loan next season.

Davi/Nurnberg/1.2m/DL/R/15 - He is the future of our defence! His determintion, work rate, influence and pace are so impressive and his defending is above average for his age.

Out:

Branislav Ivanovic/PSG/11m/DR/28 - Got rid of dead weight for a **** good price! That money will be very big to get money for summer.

Premier League vs. Stoke City

In our final midweek match for a while, Stoke come to us in a prmeir league battle. We are in form after the smashing of Newcastle but a lot of them cant play because of fitness, still a strong squad will play.

Cech

Montoya Cahill Terry Williams

Essien Ramires
Albrighton Kakuta Redmond
De Jong

Subs: Hilario/Kalas/Bertrand/Romeu/Mata/Piazon/Negredo

Tactical View: Williams is played out of position as Bertrand is certainly not fit. Strong pivot that we can rely on as our spine. Albrighton and Kakuta start, hopefully they can continue there great start. While De Jong and Redmog have slumped for a couple games and are ready to prove themselves.

Chelsea 1-0 Stoke

Hard victory against Stoke today. We just did it in a match where we had possesion but they were dangerous on the counter. On the 75th minute De Jong got tripped in the box and earned a penalty. Substitute Juan Mata took it but hit it straight at the keeper who parried it away, shocking. But on the 90th, returning sub Lucas Piazon held it up in midfield, got past his marker and played it short to Mata who played through a free Marc Albrighton. Marc made a perfect run, got the ball, faked a shot, got pass the keeper and put it home for the winner.

Man Of The Match - Gary Cahill

Gary played like a defensive midfielder in possesion and perfected it. He went forward on occasions and passed well and made distracting runs. And on defence he just stopped them totally by getting the ball in midfield on a number of occasions.

The Big Mans Coming?

All the papers are signed, he should be here any minute!

*ring ring*

Me "Hello?"

Emenalo "Hey Liam. I went to pick up our new signing at the air-port as we discussed."

Me "Yes, thank you Michael. How's the big guy going."

Emenalo "He failed a work permit, I appealed and they turned him down again. Then I brought him in in case you wanted to loan him to Westerlo for 3 years, but he failed a medical as well."

Me "**** Mate! I could have taken the news about the medical but he will never come is blowing. I guess I will keep Luuk as striker and keep Lucas at the club as an attacking midfielder."

Emenalo "Aren't you going to sign another striker?"

Me "In the summer most likely. For now I've got a good idea of who to spend the money on that I've been looking at."

Emenalo "Okay, good luck with that. Good Bye."

WOW! Neither the scouts or I saw that coming! He was a good player that I wanted but there are plenty of fish in the sea. For now though, I am going to address something different in the market.

To bad mate, I wanted to take you from Racing, FEDERICO SANTANDER.

I want to start scouting for a striker. Under 15m pounds, a tall striker that preferably has pace also and is under 21. I will scout all your considerations and probably buy one of them in Summer! I will also put this on a thread if you see it.

Conor Wickham is the perfect fit for you there mate :)
also home grown which helps! scored 30 goals a season over three years for me at Sunderland playing as a poacher as well.

If not him, i've seen Joshua King develop well at 6"1 he could fit your bill. Of course there is always Balotelli if you think you can get him to turn up for training!

Thanks mate! :) I will consider all 3 of them along with 3 of Raikans suggestions from the Ask Raikan Thread. They were M'baye Niang,Tomas Necid and Khouma Babacar.

FA Cup vs. Crystal Palace

Since we miss out on mid-week next week, I decided to play a strong squad. We rarely miss mid-week, and we will have to go back to them after this weeks break, so I have freadom for this week. Lineup:

Cech

Kane Bruma Luiz Cole

Chalobah McEachran
Krasic De Jong Perotti
Lukaku

Subs: Hilario/Ake/Bertrand/Ramires/Redmond/Mata/Negredo

Tactical View: We have got the fire-power of Cole, Krasic, Perotti, Cech and Luiz, but since it is 3rd round of the FA Cup, I decided to put in some youngsters. All of the youngsters have impressed in recent games, especially Kane, McEachran and Chalobah, so we do have a side capable of beating Palace at home.

Chelsea 3-0 Crystal Palace

They didn't have one single attack and we just had possesion and all the attacks. The pivots were solid in passing which made a solid backone. As Chelsea started the attack, McEachran passed it to Lukaku who had his back to goal 1/3rd of the goal out. Perotti made a run but recieved befor he would have liked. He still beat Clyne, and from the edge of the box he smashed and curled it in the top corner, no keeper could ever save that! Next Perotti would yet again take on Clyne down the wing and beat him. He picked out a cross to Krasic who launched in witha diving header and got it in. Finally the third goal came. Chalobah, McEachran and Kane passed 3 triangles around there midfield. Kane then recieved it, took a touch away from hios marker and lobbed it in the box to the run of Lukaku who volleyed it down into the bottom corner.

Man Of The Match - Diego Perotti

He is impressing me more and more every match now. He has truly gotten used to his new club and now is owning it like I thought he would. Got a goal and an assist today and they were both well earned.

This Seasons Odds For Chelsea Football Club

PREMIER LEAGUE:

Chelsea currently sit fourth but only 4 points away from leaders Tottenham. They are just hitting form and look like they can win anything given to them. But Spurs and the two Manchester teams are on form too, so I expect it to come down on others results. They will finish in the top 4, and I think they will finish third with City winning it and Spurs coming second.

EUROPA LEAGUE:

It is going to be very tough for Chelsea. I believe they should easily get past Stuttgart but then it all depends on the draw. Juve and Barca would cause the most trouble and the longer they can avoid those too, the longer they will stay in. But don't get me wrong, I think they could beat any one of those two but I think the other team would win over two legs.

FA CUP:

They impressed a lot against Palace and have shown they care about the FA Cup. His players know how much it means and I think they have the skill and determination to win it.

CARLING CUP:

Tey are in the semis against Arsenal and have done well so far. It is going to test them but I believe they can beat Arsenal and win it. The semi against Arsenal may be harder then the final because Arsenal are better then the other two and Chelsea may lack a bit of motivation the semis if Drury doesnt get them hyped, but they will be hyped for the final no matter what.

My Return To Australia

My best mate at Chelsea is my assistant, Neil Bath. He has helped me out from day one and I apointed him assistant for his great work. He goes to the board meetings with me, has an input in the transfers and sales and we usually stay in my office after training for a couple hours to discuss stuff about the club, world football, we play on the PS3 and we just talk about life. He has been massive in the success here and he has helped me a lot. Yesterday I talked to him about Australia and how I missed it and can't wait until off-season to visit. So what did Neil do? He asked Bruce and Ron if I could go on a one night holiday mid-week to Australia so I don't get homesick, and they said yes! Thanks to Neil, I AM GOING TO AUSTRALIA!

I arrived in Melbourne, with my 3 best friends from Aus that I called up are there, Nat, Nick and Daniel. We all were in a big emotional group hug. I was in a massivce hoodie so no-one spots me and gets the papperazzi to come.

Nat "LIAM! Dude hows it going!?"

Me "How do you think, I am the manager of Chelsea and in great form with the best board and assistant ever!"

Daniel "You lucky *******!"

Nick "You deserve it though mate! You are probably the best manager ever!"

Me " Thanks guys, so, what do you have planned?"

Nick "In 4 and a half hours, it's Heart vs. Victory, a massive Melourne rivalry."

Nat "Victory have been on a bit of a slump of late, while Heart are just unstoppable!"

Me " Thats not good."

Daniel " Some people are saying they are the best team in soccer at the moment. Oh, sorry football."

Me "Thats okay, hopefully the fighting spirit wins it for us! Let's get some lunch, I'm starving! Then we will go play the game that is getting released in a week, FIFA 13!"

4 hours later

The cameras are all over me, my friends seem to be enjoying the attention so I'll just do some poses with them.

The game will start in a minute or so, GO VICTORY! Noiw the camera that will be seen live Australian-wide is on me. I get a mixed reception from the fans, a lot of cheers for the people that are happy for me and boos for the people that dispise me because I didn't take the Australia job.

Victory 2-3 Heart

My beloved Victory had lost from 2 goals up. SO I WENT TO THE PUB!!

I returned the next day ready to win everything in front of me!

I Am Truly Welcomed Back To London!

I head to Cobham today to see Neil leading the training session. They are working there ***** off, they don't even notice me. But as I am about to yell out to Neil and the boys, someone stops me, it's Bruce Buck!

Me "Hey Bruc, you scared me."

Buck "Sorry Liam, how was Australia?"

Me "Excellent, my tea lost but I saw my friends and had a great night out!"

Buck "That's great to hear Liam. Hopefully your fully recharged now. But I have got some exciting news."

Me "Cool, what is it?"

Buck "Well, remember when you made offers for those two players?"

Me "Yes, did you get a response?!"

Buck "Both clubs said yes, so Ron took a plane to Russia and Michael took a plane Ukraine to get the deals finished. And they did! So without further ado, here they are, our new signings, Darijo Srna and Tomas Necid!

Me "Oh my god, YES! Thnak you Bruce, and say that to Michael and Ron also thanks."

Buck "I will leave you here with the boys, good bye Liam."

Me "Bye Bruce. Hello boys, I want to just tell you why you are here and all that. First Darijo. We hope you can be like what Ivanovic was at Chelsea at his best, but even better! 18m was a lot but it was only 7m given Branas transfer, so don't do a Torres on me okay, it's only 7m. Now Tomas. I still cannot believe you were on the transfer list, 3.6m for someone of your ability is nothing! In training work on your pace, ositioning and agility and you will be very important here, now go to training, bye!"

What a rivalry match to return to! In Australia, the team I support lost there rivalry contest, I will not. I have to balance out the squad thoough as we play Arsenal mid-week in the first leag of the Carling Cup semi final. Lineup:

Cech

Srna Kalas Luiz Bertrand

Chalobah Ramires
Albrighton Meireles Redmond
Negredo

Subs: Hilario/Bruma/Gordon/Romeu/Piazon/Kakuta/Necid

Tactical View: Srna takes the number 2 jersey Brana left and will start on his debut against the Hammers today. Kalas makes an appearance as well as Bertrand who have been playing reserve football in recent weeks through fitness. Chalobah and Ramires should work well together and Meireles said he does well with Ramires so they both start. Necid could also make his debut off the bench.

West Ham 0-3 Chelsea

I know how to beat a rival! We took a lot early but after that we performed to our best and won. The first goal came when Redmond played in Negredo who smashed it at the keeper, the keeper feel over and the defenders couldn't get to it so Meireles smashed it over the keeper for the goal. But then Luiz got a red for a profesional foul. We switched to 4 at the back, with Chalobah a centre back now, the pivot being Ramires and Meireles and the wingers becoming attacking midfielders, with the striker. Then Srna passed it to Redmond, who beat 4 challenges and smashed it into the bottom corner far post, one of the goals of the season! Lastly Ramires passed it into the box to a free Nathan Redmond, who finessed it to the goal, it took an unbelievable curve but hit the post. It fell back to Redmond, he could of shot but passed it to Albrighton who easily slotted it home to confirm the win.

Man Of The Match - Nathan Redmond

Not only did Nathan show off his skill and ability, he showed off his versitality. He did great out of position, setting up a great goal and scoring a stunner. He was also involved in the first goal.

Carling Cup Semi Final Leg 1 vs. Arsenal

We play at the Bridge first as we take on Arsenal. If and most likely when I win my first trophy it will be a big confidence boost for my team, if we win one mid-season, we could go on to win the title. Lineup:

Cech

Montoya Cahill Terry Cole

Romeu Essien
Krasic Mata Perotti
Lukaku

Subs: Hilario/Bruma/Srna/McEachran/Redmond/Kakuta/Necid

Tactical View: Srna was not impressive enough to start on such an important match, but it was his debut. We have a very defensive pivot team and they can both attack reasonably enough with the big 4 in front of them.

Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

First reaction.....We really should have won by 4 or 5. They only had one attack which we broke down, while we had about 20! About 5 of them were really dangerous set pieces. There keeper who I'm not even going to try to spell was in form and stopped us a lot, as well as Vermaelen clearing it off the line twice! The first goal was in the 1st minute whe Perotti passed it to Mata, who took advantage of a poorly positioned defence to pass it to Krasic. He was free on goal and took a touch away from the keeper and scored. We were so close on a lot of set pieces, but this time one worked. Mata crossed it in to the front post and Terry did a Drogba like header and scored it in past the keeper with the s and z and c.

Man Of The Match - Juan Mata

He lead the attack as the defensive pivot stayed back a lot. He played through a lot of balls to Likaku, Krasic and Perotti and ended up with 2 assists, he was the creative force today. He also did a lot of great set pieces.

Premier League vs. Burnley

No match is easy, but I am overly confident we can win at the Bridge today. Lineup:

Cech

Kane Luiz Terry Srna

Essien Ramires
Krasic Piazon Redmond
Necid

Subs: Hilario/Bruma/Cole/Chalobah/Perotti/Mata/Negredo

Tactical View: Chances are given to Kane, Redmond, Piazon and Necid are given chances over there expeirienced counter-parts. Other then that, we have a strong squad more then capable of winning.

Chelsea 4-0 Burnley

Te score says it all, another dominating win! First goal came when Krasic put it near the near post, where Terry got free and used his neck well to get the goal. Next Luiz took a very long throw which Terry ran onto to score his second with his head. Third, Redmond cut in, looked like shooting, but layed it off to the onrushing Piazon who buried it, class from the young Brazilian! Lastly, Krasic went on a classic Kraisc run, beating his defender. He didn't cross and ran into the box, got by the central defender but he stuck a leg out and caught him from behind.

Man Of The Match - John Terry

This was obvious! id his usual in defence although he was not tested much, and scored twice. He was very comfortable in passing as well.

Youre doing fantastically!!

Yeh i saw King develop brilliantly for a Juventus side i was constantly having tustles with in the Champions League but not developed him myself. If it was a you im sure he would develop much better
