the most important thing for me tonight has been the movement off the ball, our passing angles, the tracking back, all of it much better than at any point in the last two years, its like hes taken the leash off the players, but they have responded by keeping their composure

disagree with that, hes englands best finisher though. rooneys running, movement and passing has supplied defoe tonight
 
Love the way you can tell who supports who just by the comments. Everyone goes "Defoe hat trick". Man U fans go "Defoe hat trick. 2 assists for Rooney." and Spurs fans go "Defoe hat trick. ****, he's hurt himself." :P

No W.Rooney and J.Defoe are two completley different kind of strikers/forwards but they are far the best partnership/strikers ENG have got, no question asked
 
Gutted about the Dawson injury, and it looks like Defoe might have picked up a knock too now.

Really hope it doesn't cost Tottenham too much.

Agree one of Englands best prospects, tell you what city are lucky they have got 2 wonderful gems Joe Hart and Adam Johnson that are English oh yeah and Micah Richards but he dosent get picked anymore:'(
