Yeah i will be looking to bring some with me but will probably have to wait till January and try and snap up some of the lads who the new manager doesnt play who are unhappy cos the cheapest player in the Porto starting XI is 15mil.

Starting XI for Porto in 2012 was valued at 40-50 million, when i left it was in excess of 150 million. Over the moon about that.

New Manchester United manager John Price wasted no time in bringing in new faces during the transfer window. With a reported 100 million to spend its no surprise that the signings are all multi million pound deals. Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao joins from Internacional for a reported £35,000,000 after the striker was said to be far from happy at the brazilian club. Promising central defender Kurt Zouma joins from Saint Ettiene for a fee of £23,500,000 to add depth to the central position of the defence. The only player to follow Price from Porto so far is ex Manchester United player Paul Pogba who re-joins the club from FC Porto for a fee believed to be around £10,000,000, the second time Price has signed the player in just over a year.

Price also signed Mariano Andreu from FC Barcelona for a nominal fee of £3,000,000. The young striker looks set for a bright future in the game and Price seems to have landed a quality signing.

August 2015 - Pre Season Report

Price Rings The Changes During Pre Season

In John Price's first pre season as the Manchester United manager he hasnt been shy at making changes. Bringing in just 4 players and 3 staff members, but also selling three key players in the form of Fletcher, Van Persie and Young. The reasin behind the sales apparently was the failure to negotiate new contracts with the players and the fact that the club did not want to lose them on free transfers.

View attachment 311435View attachment 311436View attachment 311439

Price managed to recoup a total of 37.5 million for the three players which leaves United in a solid financial position heading into the season.

United brushed aside Liverpool in the Community shield as well as recording three wins in the league. The team scored 11 times and conceded just the 1. Price will be hoping this form will continue for the forseeable future in Manchester.

John Price's first task in winning back to back Champions League titles will be to navigate his way through a tricky group C. The group will see Price return to Portugal to face bitter rivals SL Benfica as well as trips to Turkey and Ukraine. United will be confident in advancing from the group however and will go into it as favourites.

October 2015 - Monthly Review

Squad Depth an issue For Price

Manchester United's form stuttered during the month of October as they just about managed to stay at the top of the Premier League. With 3 wins and 3 draws in the month you would be surprised to know that Price was said to be far from happy with his squad saying that the depth of his squad wasnt good enough. The speculation is that Price will enter the transfer market in January to increase the standard of the rotation players.

Premier League

3.10.15
Manchester United 3 Cardiff 0
Zouma'16, damiao'43, Neymar'49

Absoluted Dominace against a team you would expect Price's United to beat with 61% posession and 21 shots. The very impressive Zouma scores his first goal for United.

18.10.15
Manchester United 2 Aston Villa 0
Neymar'13, Damiao'47

Another strong performance from United with a two goal winning margin probably being about right in the end. Villa let them off however in the 23rd minute when midfielder Larsen missed a penalty.

24.10.15
Southampton 1 Manchester United 1
Kagawa'20

A late Ramirez equaliser denies Price an away win down south. With a number of changes to the squad due to the amount of games during the month United didnt look at their best. To make things worse Rooney limped off injured after half an hour.

31.10.15
Norwich Manchester United
Sigurdsson(P)'2

Another narrow win for United as they maintain their place atop of the Premier league. The win wasnt in anyway convincing and Price seems to be a little thin when it comes to the depth of his squad.

Capital One Cup

27.10.15
West Ham United 0 Manchester United 0
(United win 4-2 on penalties)

United once again rotate the squad and struggle to advance in the league cup only making it through thanks to penalties.

Champions League

21.10.15
SL Benfica 0 Manchester United 0

Price will be happy to escape his first return to Portugal without a loss. Benfica showed great reslove and strength at the back. Kurt Zouma claims man of the match in another professional display.

Player Of The Month

For the second month in a row the player of the month award goes to new boy Kurt Zouma, the 20 year old centre back has put in a string of performances that have been way beyond his years and helped to limit the damage done during the month.
