But you're right. All the verses in the Bible that are claimed to be referring to homosexuality are contested in those claims, and there is literally no reference to Jesus saying anything about it at all.

"Any man who lays with another man should be stoned"

Unless the bible is saying that gays should all smoke a joint before having *** it sounds an awful lot like it has something against them

Only thing I know of along the lines of that is "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; that is an abomination." Which is part of the levitical code or something which is 600 odd laws that basically stop you from doing anything other than sitting on your *** watching a burning bush and eating strange mushrooms.

That is indeed one of the contested verses. Some claim it has a totally different meaning entirely, referring to 'abusive ***', I believe.

To be honest, religious leaders should be just as guilty for promoting such ignorant idealogy in the first place. When AIDS was running rife, they were still saying people should not be wearing condoms. Although teachings can influence thoughts at times, common sense I'd think would prevail. Then again, parenting also comes into the equation. But you would think in this day and age common sense would influence people

See it's strange: I thought that by being homosexual, humans were using their free will to sin and to go against the natural law of God. That **** doesn't fly when you consider that animals, who were created to follow natural law and lack the free will to do otherwise, also practice homosexual activities.

So, humans are either animals (expressly denied by the bible) or homosexuality is completely natural.

Right there are some posts on here, that are verging on seeing users banned. I'm not talking about the debate itself.
Remove the word "gay" and replace it with african, asian, jewish etc. And everyone would be saying its out of order, ban that person etc. So why is it different for homosexuals?

No I agree. I've been raised a Christian as have most in this country/on this forum (based on its UK membership). What a man does in the luxury of his own home is none of my business. But to condemn a man for posting his opinion that he doesn't want to see "gay stuff" in front of him is not legit. At the end of the day its not natural. That's a fact (rafa benitez style, a fact)

Wrong, its actually quite prevalent in nature. Your fact is incorrect. Nor would it actually matter if it wasn't natural.

And secondly, no he doesn't have to like it. But he sure as **** has to accept their equal and (correctly legal) right to do it. Your arbitrary Christian raising/beliefs simply don't come into it.

Love it. Having said that, they have the right to their religion. I will fight for the right of someone's belief, providing said belief does not imprint harm or infringe the rights of others. I'll also fight for the right to tell them its arbitrary and without foundation.

Yes. Because you're not extending full equality to gay people. If you can't stretch to not being as tolerant of gay peoples' actions in public as you would of corresponding actions taken by heterosexual people, you're still homophobic.
When you can prove I either hate or fear gay people then you can call me homophobic. But untill then I would ask you to keep your libel comments to yourself
