Homosexuality in football

Yes. Because you're not extending full equality to gay people. If you can't stretch to not being as tolerant of gay peoples' actions in public as you would of corresponding actions taken by heterosexual people, you're still homophobic.
When you can prove I either hate or fear gay people then you can call me homophobic. But untill then I would ask you to keep your libel comments to yourself

Oh please, given some of the stuff you have spouted at Chelsea fans, this comment shows extreme double standard. Also he is right. If you are not tolerant of LGBT actions in public as you would be of the same taken by heterosexual people, you're still homophobic.

I just read this thread with my boyfriend and we are both very offended.

I will now let Mike log back on so he can carry on our crusade against the gay-haters.

Apparently if you dont want to see 2 gay people do there gay thing with each other infront of you your homophobic. Nowhere have I said I hate or fear gay people...

Homophobia doesnt have to be just hate or fear. It encompasses a range of negative feelings towards homosexuality.

"Do their gay thing"... seriously what the **** is wrong with some people.

Evan though i dont agree gays being in football what them players do behinde closed doors is up to them and fair play to the ones who come out and say there gay but i dont think the football world is ready if i offended any one last night by saying i am a homophobic then i apologise but dont change how i feel about it

This is the crux of the matter. What do you mean by you don't want to see it? Do you mean that it makes you uncomfortable, or it makes you uncomfortable and so they shouldn't do it?

Oh religion you do make me laugh :')
Personally I'd rather not see 2 homosexual men making out in front of me. But equally I don't want to see a man and woman making out in front of me. But to say homosexuality is unnatural... wow

Exactly. If I was sat on a plane for 8 hours next to a couple who wouldn't leave each other alone, it might start to **** me off whether it was a same *** couple or not.

This is the crux of the matter. The matter here isn't whether "two people doing their gay thing" (which is the most hilariously scared and confused description of it ever), it's whether you would treat that couple the same you would any other.

Homophobia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

To quote:

It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, and may be based on irrational fear.

You claim you feel no antipathy, content or hatred, but it is totally undeniable you are prejudiced. You are not extending the same right to homosexual couples that you are to heterosexuals. That makes you prejudiced, and thus that makes you homophobic. QED.

Yeah because Wiki is so reliable...

See, it actually is. It can be edited, but goes through a 24 hour period whilst it's checked to be correct. So wikipedia is reliable, and your comment is a null point. You are acting homophobic, and that you can't deny

Likewise brah.

I can work out several different ways of saying that phrase, ranging from awkward, to hateful, to playful funny, to just flat delivery...

Just because your mind reads a bracket of words a certain way doesn't mean that your reading of the delivery is right. Such is the lack of inflection on text format.

Attempting to take the moral high ground on a subject like this, amusing.

Homophobia (Is Dictionary.com reliable enough for you?)
"unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality."

What I've highlighted in red is the crux of Homophobia. [jeebuz. 3 times there I typed 'Hobo'... a good start the the morn. Need schooner of coffee, stat!]

What happens in an individuals mind doesn't mean jack.
It's how one acts on it.

THEN the Rednecks come running to point a finger at them condemning them as 'different'
