It won't let me post links which is frustrating because i want to share my success with this tactic. I am playing an online (network) game managing Leeds - I am 5 seasons in. This tactic (The Knap 4-5-1) has been by far the best tactic i've used on this iteration of FM. I have used many different tactics mainly based around a 451 - The Dev v1, v2, v4, v8; Sirgoalalot, Mahluk (which had some success as a weaker team) and Suksam, I even used the Dam-buster in another save which i didn't find much success with.

I was able to win the league last season comfortably and lost the CL final; this season so far through to March I have not lost a single game in all competitions,Icardi is currently the WPOTY and reigning golden boot winner and my defense has conceeded only 10 goals in 25 games so far in the league.

This tactic deserves quite abit more attention, i have replicated it so far in fantasy draft games but haven't played anothe rlong-term save with a 4-5-1. I find it much, much more consistent than the other more popular tactics

the first 451 he produced or the latest 451 counter attack?

For screenshots go to "Go Advanced" at bottom of reply screen, the clickon "manage attachments". Top right corner use add button and upload.

I am going back to the 451 and older tactics to try a few tweaks.

Which 4-5-1 you think is better?

I tweaked Dambuster to run on underdog test. Problem is I have no idea how the tactic could be used.

Thanks for the quality tactics Knap, your tactics are the most consistent for me when testing all-20 players against an all-20 team and a bit underdog, reloading the same game 30 times.

Which one of your tactics do you think to be most efficient overall by now?
Do you make any changes based on scouting, during matchs, underdog/favourites, etc?
Thanks

The updated 157pt Dam Buster

Just won PL with Newcastle original squad

Hi I have used oxford tactic with my parma save and was just wondering if anyone has made any adjustments to it.
I like the formation & style of play but just conceding too may clear cut chances, mind you I have a pretty **** team at the moment,
especially defenders and attacking midfielders. Any advice would be welcome as I'm sitting mid table but if I cut a few goals out I could push top 6 maybe. Thxs.

I would change to The Dam Buster from Oxford. There is only a minor change upfront and I've revised set pieces etc. I will post a screenshot of how players are used but a quick pick will show appropriate players.

Never looked at a scout report and I never change tactic.

The OP is so cluttered with various versions of the tactic, I recommend cleaning it up a bit and only leave the very best. :)

Which leads me to the question, what's your current best tactic out of all those in OP?

The 157 Pts Dambuster, 103 pts on a 38 game season. Also works on underdog test 59 pts from 30 games would be 118 pts on full test

What database are you using? It's not the one from the tactic testing thread. Your England squad has many, many stars on it. The database from the testing thread does not.

Knap what tactic you recommend for a team from Vanarama Conference?

2nd game played with Woking using 157pts 41311, and Dan Holman is ineffectual as CF support.

I really like Oxfo Knap, this is so amazing
But the new 4-1-3-1-1 did not work well as Ox

I have noticed tactics take a good few games to bed down. Just testing with Arsenal (and I 'm a Spurs fan) and very solid.

With the 4-5-1 control and counter, the Inside Forwards are doing so little they might as well not be there. Is there a solution to have them contribute more? (And with that, scoring, mostly. They assist, but that's only with counter because of the large amount of space behind the opposition's defense for my striker to capitalize on. But scoring-wise, I'm very dependant on my striker and Roberto Firmino.)
