Liverpool F.C. The 5 Year Plan.

So unlucky last season, nice signings and what a great start to the season!

Cheers mate. It's been a nice start since I usually have a slow opening few games.

great start to the season, with United and City slipping in their first two you already have a massive upper hand on them with the goal difference! Keep it up!

Aye, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. From the looks of it, the team has just clicked form the few tweaks I made :P

Haha, Munir introduced himself well! 8 goals in 2 games!

I know, I was just expecting him to grab manybe one or two, not already blitz his record for goals in a season in just two games :P

Dude. If you can sign Pogba. Sign him and you'll win the title.

I'm already overloaded with midfielders mate. They also want £80M+ for him so it's not worth it considering I've already got a decent midfield that I'm happy with.

Ps. Have been following from the start like last year. Chelsea fan but want you to win it lol

Haha, Cheers mate. This must have been a decent story to follow in that case, Cheslea won the League three times and are dominating the Champions League :P

Hah Munir. That's insane. Mind you there are some high expectations of him now haha

Haha, He'll be worked hard to maintain those expectations. Sure, he's already paid his transfer fee with these two games :P

They have an insane side so I'm not that upset.

Aye, I'm trying but it's still not in the bag

It's one of the first saves I start up every time I get the new FM. I am a Liverpool fan though so it's a given :P

(And this is just the Premier League; I didn't bother looking for high-scoring games in other leagues)

This happens in football more than people care to remember so I've never really known how it was unrealistic

Woah. You actually gone looking for this results? seriously? Anyways, how many of this results are against fellow top sides? The keyword "fellow top sides" and not Norwich city or Wigan or Cardiff or even Newcastle. Just 1 and that too 6-3.

The real fun in playing FM is when its as close to realistic as possible. When your team beats Spurs 5-0, City 5-0 and champions Chelsea 7-0, that is too unreal, and totally kills the fun. Just my view.

I think the reason you'll win the title this year is because you now have 'the game changer' in Munir, yes I know Coutinho and Sterling are game changers now, BUT... Munir is a player that can single-handedly win you the league.

I've no interest in debating this. Open a thread if you need to have your say on unrealistic results but this one is for a Liverpool story.

Given his current form, you're not wrong, that boy started the season on fire. Sterling and Coutinho feeding him from of wide is a lethal combination with Munir playing F9

Can you load a screenshot of Munir? Really interested to see how he has developed.

Since I've hit the 5 year mark, I'm taking an indefinite break from this story.

It was in the title: "The 5 year plan" and I think I developed Liverpool into a side
that can challenge for the league. I may do sparse updates just to let ye know
how I'm doing (yearly, or bi-yearly).

Shame to see the thread come to an end..I say end, but you know what I mean!

Will definitely look out for your occasional updates, seeing you do so well with the Reds is a great distraction from watching us in real life (Besides our recent good form)

Shame you can't change the thread title eh? ;)

(Maybe you can, I'm not sure...)

hey man, sad to see this to end! it has been an awesome journey following this thread!

Just a random request, I would love to see you make a summary of the whole 5 years of your career (you know, on whether you achieved your yearly goals or not, major transfer for liverpool etc etc)!

Good luck on your next adventure!

Yeah I think a final synopsis/summary could put a nice close to your story. Overall it's been a great read, thank you for doing it.

Can't believe some goof said 7-0 takes away from the game. That NEVER happens in real life! 8-2, 6-0... never seen results like that before

Some people just have the need to be critical |) I mean, 8-0 NEVER happens in the EPL ... especially not with Southampton over Sunderland...

Sad to see this end, obviously it's your decision but I think I speak for everyone when I say maybe you should rethink ending it! Like I said it's up to you but this is the most enjoyable story on here!

Whaaaaat, come on Brendn, just get the league title, you have came so close! :(

Fantastic story - inspirational football manager material... this story is what made me join this forum in the first place!!

Will keep an eye out for future updates for sure.

Reaching over 70 pages on any story is something to behold, and doing it with the amount of detail you have is brilliant. I for one would enjoy the occasional update of how you're still doing with the Reds, and i'll be following your New Zealand story as it looks brilliant. :)
