How you are able to play so much FM (so well too) AND write such detailed updates astonishes me

Any hopes of another long-term save at a big club this year?
 
But being dedicated to one save for such a long period really takes it out of you. Especially when you pour so mcuh into it, only to constantly miss out on 2nd by a hairs breadth.......... Sometimes you need something new to freshen it up. Goodluck on all future saves man!

One of the main reason why I needed to take a break was because of the criticisms I was having to defend. People coming into the thread, not mentioning anything about the story, they just came tell everyone the game was broken and slate the odd result they noticed from the updates. I got very disheartened and had a "what's the point in doing this?" moment.

To me, this forum section is quite specific in what it sets out to do. It's about the save, not the game. It's role playing and about getting involved in the journey. I don't want to have to defend SI or FM when people come in talking utter nonsense simply because they don't understand how to put their ideas into practice and... well, manage!

Since I've had a week away, I'm kinde missing keeping to the scheduled of updating this and having everyone supporting and giving me the motivation to keep pushing for 1st place. I'm thinking about bringing this back but I still haven't made up my mind.

There are many more people enjoying this than the idiots mate, just ignore them!

I've not seen a story end with so many people saying to keep going so you must be doing something right!

Now go get that title! :)
 
IGNORE THOSE IDIOTS! Do not let the FM bashers stop you doing what you enjoy! They will twist & turn anything you do to suit their argument so f@#k them!

Play the save you love on the game you love & let the rest of us cheer along! The 10 year plan has a certain ring to it, no?
 
Mate this is hands down the best story I've ever read on here. The way you got into the role and the effort you put into the layout and Photoshop was world class. Pretty sure I speak for everyone on here when I say.. 10 year plan?!?!?! Good luck regardless though!
 
I haven't posted on the site for a long time but as an avid FM fan and after reading through the whole story today then I am hoping you carry on with it. After all the effort you have put into the story then a few negative comments should be swept under the carpet :)
 
The thing is these negative comments were not towards you. People will have their opinions on the game and i suppose it is relevant to the mention it on the story if you do beat a top team 8-0. Yeah it's annoying and should be done somewhere else but it's definitely nothing to stop you writing the story mate. If i was you I would carry this on and if someone comments something like that just delete it. You know this is a great story and you know many people want see this carry on. This is definitely more exciting than a story aabout a football club from New Zealand. Why not keep it going? :)

You know you're good and you know if you take 10 minutes of your time to search on any given website and forum, not only this one, you will find that this is the most elegantly written, beautifully designed and hard worked football manager (at least 2015, haven't searched any others) story there is to find and i highly doubt that you don't know that.

Take the time you need to have a break, ****, even quit this story and start another or even don't play/post here at all ever again. It's your life. But don't say that a few ****** little comments dishearted you and you feel like quitting BECAUSE OF THAT. Because that would be stupid and a complete overreaction.

When a nice thing get's enough hype, it is quite normal for people to be commenting negatively. Because the more people view your story, the more likely is to have a few idiots read your story (1-2 out of 100 for example) and it is inevitable to have comments like those.

These comments about you hammering teams are interesting. I seem to recall that teams like Barcelona and Real murdering teams by 5 goals or more rather regularly.

Beat if you were playing as either of them no-one would bat an eye.

It's a real shame given you are without a doubt the most dedicated story writer on this site by a country mile.

I never said I was quitting so please don't overreact. I said I needed to take a break and I wasn't sure If I was coming back to it as the occasional annoying sod coming in and posting negative stuff was distracting me (and everyone else) from the story.

But I do think you're being supportive and telling me you appreciate the work going into the story so I thank you quite sincerely.

Due to the massive influx of supportive comments asking me to continue, I'm
rather taken aback and flattered. I'm going to continue this and see how it goes.
It's down to everyone who showed their support that this story is back. I want
to thank ye all and I hope the continuing story lives up to expectations.

Unbeaten so far this season and we've just started December. 45 goals in
14 games having only conceded 8. We've been threatening to take off
for the past 3 years and this year, the squad has clicked into 5th gear
from day One and we've just shot ahead.

Yeah, we kinde ran away with the group. After winning our first 4 game, the group
was ours. We mathematically secured 1st with our win at home to Freiburg. We've
Inter in Italy up next but the group is still wide open for any of the remaining 3 teams
to progress to the Knock-Out Stages.
