I had already decided to sell Ballotelli, Borini and Lambert. The former was not a player who seemed to suit
my system and was not preforming when I gave him chances. Borini was a good player but he wanted more
first team football than I was willing to give him to I opted to let him go. Lambert, while being a good squad
player also wanted to leave so I let him go.

I paid about £3M more than I wanted for him but he's potentially one of the best Goalkeepers in the game. I'll probably give him 2-3 years on loan playing 1st team football before giving him the chance to compete with Mignolet.

Last year, I brought the team to Japan for the Corporate part of the tour, this year we're jetting
off the the West cost of the United States for our International Leg of the tour.

The rest of Preseaon sees us take on a few decent European teams. Nothing too strenuous
but I need to see how my Defense holds up so I can make adjustments before the season
kick off.

Some nice transfers there mate. Selling off mario and getting Giroud cheap is a decent move, upgrade on Lambert!

Huntelaar and Giovinco on frees is a great bit of business, specially when you see Giovinco's value!

Nice mix of players your brought in. Interested to see how you do now :)

Some quality additions there alright..
i know looking at the future prospects for first team is important but fact is if you don't acheive top 3 this season, you won't bear the fruits of your labour with the youth additions as,You'll be on the unemployment line
Eagerly anticipating your new season though

Aye, I'm still a little disappointed I couldn't offload him onto the continent as I hate coming up against my own ex-players.

Giovinco could be huge for me this season i feel. Himself and Sterling on the wings; quick, agile players who both like to cup in.

Aye, hence why I only brought in two youngsters :P

Giroud, Giovinco, Huntelar, Shawcross and Scuffet (Europa League & Cup GK) are all first team ready.

Some great signings there mate! think you can hit top 3 with the squad you have, strikers you have now look a lot better than last season!

I opted to trust my midfield this season and not bring anyone in. just Shawcross and the strikers. I needed more options up front; players who can offer something different and give me multiple options.

Sebastian Giovinco, Lazar Markovic and Daniel Sturridge each scored 3 goals in pre-season
which is exactly what I wanted to see, the forward players all getting in on the action so that
we are not relying on one or two players.

Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho Dominated the midfield and that made things easy for us.
Sturridge started the season in flying form and netted his first goals and hat-trick of the season.

Seeing as we were 3 goals up int eh tie, I gave a lot of the youngsters a run out and they done well.

Ryan Fulton, who made a solid debut in the Premier League last year will start in Goal
For both Legs of the Europa League Play off and in the Derby against Everton. Fulton
has Champions League experience, having played in the Champions League Quarter-Final
against Chelsea and kept a clean sheet in last seasons 2-0 win against Manchester City.

but ****, two Keepers, god **** FM with the injury ****, happening a lot on mine haha

View attachment 324992

I've been forced to go into the market for a new Goalkeeper. Fulton came into the team as
cover for the injured Mignolet and Scuffet but twisted his knee after 70 minutes. 20 year old,
local born Owen Wheeler came on a saw out the clean sheet but He's not ready for Premier
League football. With only 3 days to our league opener against Everton, I've not really had a
chance to scout targets and had to trust what my scouting network had already seen.

What I needed was someone who could come in straight away with very little time to settle
but still be effective. Hilderbrad won the Budesliga in 2007 with Stuttgart and was apart of
the German National team that secured 3rd place in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. With 365
career league appearances, I feel confident I've found a decent GK to come in and provide good
competition when Mignolet and Scuffet return to full fitness.
