Both hard working determined winners and looking forward to seeing them start together. Would be amazing to see them hit it off. Carroll just needs to keep his head screwed on an Suarez needs to resist his temptation to bite people.

The temperament of both players does worry me slightly tbh.

It's alright. Carroll can knock them out, then Suarez comes in and drains them of blood. Now that's what we call team work! ;)

If they form a good partnership on and off the pitch, they could be lethal to the opposition defense. Literally.

Ah, Dunc beat me to the joke!

I think that Carroll, because of his size, is talked about mostly as a target man. Granted, he is a ******* beast in the air, but also he can shoot from pretty much anywhere, for example his goal against you lot when we won 3-1.

I think that him and Suarez could be absolute rape, if Suarez can settle well and Carroll wins a lot of flick ons, so as long as Suarez make run's off him, I think they will be fairly lethal. I hope so, as I do really like Carroll still, I think it was just a shock that he has left, and if it is true he was forced from the club, I would not be surprised as A. He loves the club and B. Ashley is a bit of a ****.

I think you have a fantastic player on your hands.
i agree, would not be suprised at all if he was forced out

After the ridiculous money that has been spent today, is it just me that now thinks this makes the £18million Villa spent on Darren Bent look like a snip?

By the way, how could Ashley reject the offer, it meant a whole month losing chips at the Casino!

It does when you consider they paid £24m...

£18million upfront, which is what is stated on Sky Sports News so I'll go with that figure for now. Still a snip considering what's happened today.

Bent - Proven.
Carroll - Potential.

If it's one thing Suarez does well is off the ball movement. And for all his shenanigans Suarez will do anything to win. I watch a lot Ajax games and we loved him for that. It's like "he's a **** but he's our ****" Also his missus isn't too shabby looking either

Ooo. I suppose Liverpool think that Carroll will become a better player than Bent in the long run.

Plus Carroll was a rush buy at the end of January when we desperately needed a striker. Also the 50 million we just received helped.

But to pay double the money for that is a MASSIVE risk, he'd only scored 3 goals in the Championship at this stage last season.

And also for any United fan's out there like me, don't worry that we haven't signed anyone SAF know's there's no value in the market at the moment thanks to the over-pricing of players.

Ask yourself this... 1 Andy Carroll @ £35million or 5 Javier Hernandez's at £7million?

Good signing. Ignore the price tag because Carroll has his best years ahead of him, and he's took the chance to play for one of the biggest teams in England. Most players would do the same thing, regardless of the money they've offered him.

Him and Suarez might prove to be a huge partnership for Liverpool, now that Dalglish has got the players playing in the right positions, i.e Meireles. I think it'll turn out fine for Liverpool eventually. Bollocks to Torres!

The fact that he is an Englishman plays into this. Of course he's not worth 5times what they paid for Chicharito who is awesome but he's nowhere near as desirable in terms of marketing beacuse he's not English. For esample on current form I'd say Chicharito is playing better than Rooney but Rooney is a big drawcard because he is an englishman for sponsors and the like

Facepalming at the price that they've paid for such a mediocre, unprofessional clown.

edit: Then again, I said the same thing about Rooney and look how he tur.. oh.

If Suarez settles in well, then Suarez and Carroll can form a excellent partnership. Carroll is a beast, and can win every single aerial battle and Suarez is very good with ball at his feet. This season Suarez is not at his best, maybe he was waiting fot the move and he was not mentally prepared to play for Ajax. In the long run, i think Liverpool have done well to get Suarez and Carroll. Yes Liverpool got ripped off for Carroll, but all the blame should be on Torres.

When you want to buy any decent player in the Jan window, prices will sky rocket and the fact that Liverpool are signing player from the same league makes it even tougher.

Carroll is a top player but Newcastle sold him too quickly, again they have sold themselves out as soon as a team offers over-the-odds the cash in now who have they got upfront ?!
