Although i wouldnt say our youngsters are better than Utd's i think people are writting them off too quickly. Utds young lads have had more game time as they have been in Utds squad for 1 or even 2 seasons already but Chelsea's youngsters have only been in the first team from the start of this season. So effectivley Utds young lads would have grown more in confidence and expirenece which the Chelsea lads are gaining right now. The problem is they are not proven at this level but are learning every day, come next season they would have had grown in confidence, ability and expirenece and thats only a good thing.
