Hey I did what you said with my Milan team and have achieved some pleasant results so far in pre season. However, I do notice that when you play two strikers, when one striker does well, the other striker doesn't do that well and will probably achieve a rating of 6.7 or 6.8. Is it due to my tactic being not fluid yet or does it works just like that?

Good suggestion though.

I know, i'm having the same problem with Falcao playing with Aguero. But when i put tevez, him and aguero play very well. I think it has to do with player knowing each other.

I also have swap between the 2 strikers, so marking became more difficult.

I played an attacking tactic against Chelsea away. Was winning 1-2 (60 mins), but feeling insecure. Changed Falcao for Tevez and the tactic from a 4-1-1-3-1 to this and BOOM, 1-4 at the end of the game.

By far the best tactic here (i've tried 90% of them).

Meanwhile, im thinking taking the target man, since i believe thats one of the main problems why Falcao is not scoring. That and woods!

I'm always looking at ways to improve the tactic so keep letting me know your ideas and i'll test them out, Thanks again for all the Positive Feedback.

This Current ME is very very hard to get a decent tactic going, I'm sure all the Tacticans will agree with me so i'm glad ive made a decent one for the time being.

I thought there isn't a need to play a target man and playmaker? So do you think this tactic with an AMC is better or with three flat central midfielders?

FMC Tactic

Mr Hough does this tactic work on the classic version? If it doesnt can you please create a similar one for FMC?

Thank you so much

So, it has been really hard to find a steady tactit to play under it. I am playing as Cagliari in Serie A. My pre season was really great, trashing Serie B teams up to 9:0. But then came he league, we were playing really well, dominating the game, but really to many mistakes at the back. Single mistake was punished. I insisted to go on with everything, and know, when I found perfect defence and midfield trio, we are really playing very well, havent conceded 3 games in a row, also my striker started to scoring, so I am finally enjoying the game! Really good tactic, the only tweak I made was in DFK set pieces.

Well, i'm not certain anymore. too much tactics used!!

Okay, for Man City, do you put roam from position for the two strikers; Aguero and Tevez?

1st you had 1 FC and 1 AMC, rich?

For the FC i only put swap position with the new FC (ex-AMC).
For the new FC (ex-AMC) i have not changed a thing.

For the FC i use Falcao or Tevez, For the AMC i use Aguero.

I also have Cavani and Jovetic but didn't play them. But Jovetic will the the roamer and Cavani not, dunno yet.

I believe that if you put them roaming, you could loose some presence in the box with lesser teams that close down a lot.

I have been using this tactic with some success in the Blue Square South with Chelmsford City. I did have to make 1 minor change in order to account for the lack of pacey defenders at that level - I simply moved the defensive line right back to 1 notch above "deep" as I was constantly being torn apart on the break. I made the tactical switch just before the Ilkeston game in the below screenshot, and you can see the difference in the results (the tactic has also become more fluid so that will have helped too). A mate of mine has made the same tactical change in his Stalybridge Celtic save (Blue Square North) and he has been having similarly good results. Brilliant tactic Mr Hough and the football played is a joy to behold once it becomes fluid. Keep up the good work!

Does this tactic require opp instructions, for example against the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd who play with very quick wingers, and will probably go past the wingbacks easily.

VERY impressive! Really had a battle at the end for title, my last like 8 games were horrid but with this formation, i felt very confident.

Ademilson scored 42 in prem from ST, the bond with AMC & ST is a joy to watch.

For anyone out there who is struggling with this formation, Use the filters given..Once i used those to find the players this formation is godlike. Champions League next for me..will keep updated (H)

Wonderul Results, Glad the tactic is working for you mate

Forgot to add to my post Mr Hough. Won fa cup and finished 2nd with newcastle first season. First half season wasnt great but still good. After new year i was playing really well.

Mr Hough, you thinking of doing another 4-1-2-3 tactic.?Set my own up in that formation as used yours before and like the set up and been OK 23 games only 3 defeats as West Ham, but not sure I'm anywhere near the same league as your tactics, but have to say got used to 4-1-2-3, so be great if you were doing another. I wil, carry on with mine and see if I can get the same level of success your tactics always seen to get.I had mixed results with this tactic on thsi thread, hit and miss, leaking too many goals, but maybe need to try the filters you've added.

Congrat,

what is the match prep and training settings?

I have it set to Team Cohession - High - Tactics only.

Filters - In your Documents file, go into Football manager 2013, Create a filters folder, download file here. When in game, Go to player search, look to right side about midway, load the filters, then select each position manually and see the required players, Lists grow more with growing rep/players statting up.
