Whats you're average attendance now in season two?

Haha quality had a funny feeling you might nick a promotion spot, done well to do that mate your club will do well to stay up next year! What's the finances looking like after going up?

Thanks pal, we've got a busy summer period ahead planning for Ligue 1. As for our finances, I'll pop them in the season review I'm about to write up.

Whats you're average attendance now in season two?

The average for season 2 was 3516, however I think that has been boosted a little by our cup game against PSG and it's most likely somewhere between 2500 and 3000...

Ligue 2 - 2nd (Promoted):

View attachment 376226

2nd place was an amazing result and sees us playing in the French top flight next season!

Coup de France - 11th Round:

View attachment 376227

One round off the quarter finals again was a pretty impressive performance from the boys, and we didn't embarrass ourselves against our moneybag neighbours PSG.

Coup de la Ligue - 1st Round:

View attachment 376228

We didn't do very well here but it wasn't exactly top of my priorities.

Ligue 1:

View attachment 376232

AS Monaco don't win the title for the first time in this save, but they lost it to Marseille so PSG still haven't won the title on this save

Finances:

Decent amount of money in the bank after last season and we have finally turned Professional! This is after the majority of our summer transfer dealing and we're projected to make over £6,000,000 this season which is encouraging.

Next update will be a season 4 preview, where we will make plenty of transfers ahead of our first season in Ligue 1...

Seems decent, looking forward how the attendance is going to grow.
How long do you recond until you got full house?

If i remember correct, it was a stadium you rented right?

Yeah it's rented, I'll probably get a better idea once we see what sort of attendances we get this season. I'm thinking they'll be around 7000-8000 but that's just a guess really. Think it will improve as our reputation improves as our reputation is still only 2 stars, which is the same as most teams in the third tier.

Looking forward to your updates, its a cool story.
Got a soft spot for the lower Nations / leagues / teams.

Running a Danish League atm., trying to raise it to the top.
Quite funny tbh, guess I could have taken a less known team instead of FC Copenhagen.
But since its the team i support IRL, it made the most sense for me to play.

Transfers:

View attachment 376237

We actually make a profit whilst pushing most of our transfer budget into our wage budget and signing experienced players on free transfers to try and put a squad together for our Ligue 1 campaign. I have not pushed our budget too much so hopefully if we go down it will not have too much of a bad financial implication. Here are my signings for the season...

View attachment 376245View attachment 376244View attachment 376243View attachment 376242View attachment 376241View attachment 376240View attachment 376239View attachment 376246

All 8 of these will walk into my first 11 I believe. Akram will probably push Tarasconi out of the team, which may seem harsh on Tara but there is no room for sentiment if we want to improve! I really like the look of Senegalese striker Senghor who will be given the job of trying to get us the goals to stay up!

My main coups in the transfer window though were to bring in 3 five star potential players after our scouting was extended to be worldwide and we sent them to scour for young players. They will all join within one year, and here they are...

View attachment 376249View attachment 376248View attachment 376250

I'm very exited about all 3 of these, as their scout reports claim they will all be leading Ligue 1 players. The right back will need tutoring to improve that poor determination stat but the other two have the right personalities to develop well. I do have to be careful to not over rely on South Americans as the league rules mean you are only allowed non EU players, however Africans are treated as EU so they are fair game! All 3 transfers cost in total £1,875,000 however only 200k was up front and the rest was over 48 months so it shouldn't see any effect on our finances as long as I don't over rely on 48 month transfers.

First 11:

View attachment 376251

Only N'Gosso, Roufosse and Ogier retain their places in my starting team although this is obviously not set in stone and it could change due to form etc. The average age of this 11 is very high (around 28 at a guess) which is a slight worry but these were the best players available to me.

Backup 11:

View attachment 376252

Lacking one of two back up players so I may need to add one or two more players before the window ends (AML and DMC/MC)

Ligue 1 Transfers:

View attachment 376253

PSG splashing the cash!

Season Expectations:

View attachment 376254

The board expect us to stay clear of relegation... We'll see I suppose but I'm not overly confident. I'd really like to make a quarter final of one of the cup competitions this year, however the league does have to be a priority I suppose to keep the financial rewards which will help the club grow. Also, we have agreed an upgrade to our training facilities...

My next update will be an August review, with our first 4 league games in Ligue 1, including an away tie against PSG! I will also update on any transfers which may or may not take place between now and then.

Ahh sounds good, I'm the same. Always like to have a 'project' in mind when I start the save and like to build up a relatively unknown team. I managed to get the Welsh league up to around 8th in the European competitions on my Aberystwyth story but then hit a brick wall because the other teams didn't perform well enough to help improve our coefficients.

Looking good mate! Transfers look great too good mix of youth experience and current ability aswell. Be tough to stay up and hopefully you can get a good start from the get go and get some momentum, best of luck pal

4 games into our first season in the top flight and we remain unbeaten. Ok... We haven't won yet either but I was targeting 4 points from these 4 games and that is what I have got. Also, I think the 1st two games next month are very winnable so we have given ourselves a good platform. The best news of this update, in my opinion, is that we got over 18,000 fans in both home games which means we have nearly taken as much money in gate recites this season as we did in the whole of last season! We were incredibly lucky in the PSG game, we got battered for 90 minutes but somehow managed to nab an equalizer in the 82nd minute when Ogier turned in from a Tarasconi free kick. Here is a screenshot of the game...

View attachment 376394

Player of the Month - Florent Ogier

View attachment 376389

I think Florent thinks he's still playing in the National, as he's not intimidated in the slightest by any big name players he has come up against and has been an absolute rock at the back. By far our standout player!

Player Stats:

View attachment 376395

Top 4 for average ratings are 3 defenders and our goalkeeper, which suggests we are defending very well. Our attacking play could certainly be improved though...

League Table:

View attachment 376396

The league is irrelevant at this stage, but it IS nice to see us ahead of PSG XD

Transfers:

View attachment 376398

2 more players brought in this month...

Alexander Cuvellier - Loan signing who has taken the spot as first choice winger and allows Roufosse to drop to backup.

View attachment 376400

Kenneth Tsotetsi - 19 year old South African international center midfielder who I plan on using as my ball winning midfielder ahead of Wilson Palacios as I think there's not much between the two as it stands and Tsotetsi has the potential to become a leading Ligue 1 center midfielder according to my assistant! Again I had to put most of his transfer fee over 48 months but again the fee is pretty low so it won't affect our balance too much.

Next update will be a September review with 4 more league games and our first appearance in the Coup de la Ligue for the season against Lille! What do you think of our first month in Ligue 1 and what position in the league do you think we'll finish this year?

2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat so we get 4 points again this month. I'm pretty happy with this although we probably should have got a draw against Caen if it was not for normally ever reliable Florent Ogier making a huge mistake and gifting them a goal in the 83rd minute. Knocked out of the secondary cup early once again but I played a mainly rotated squad so I can't really complain.

Player of the Month - Andre Senghor

View attachment 376474

The Senegalese striker didn't actually score this month but lead the line very well and got an 8.9 rating against SC Bastia.

Player Stats:

View attachment 376483

The most worrying aspect here is our top goalscorer is backup striker Karl Toko with just 2 goals. Hopefully we can improve our attacking performances in the upcoming months and create a few more chances.

League Table:

View attachment 376484

Hard to judge our start. We've played 8 games and only won 1 but we've only lost 1 as well, proving ourselves to be real draw specialists.

Other News:

1) Karl Toko makes his international debut for Cameroon, who would have thought that when he was struggling to get a game for us in my first season in charge in the National?

2) We're reaping the financial rewards of Ligue 1 football, making a profit of £1,096,852 over the month.

3) Bit of a random one - our on loan keeper has saved both of the penalties we have conceded this season which is strange because my keepers never seem to save pennas on FM.

Next update will be an October update with 5 more league games. My target is a minimum of 2 wins/6 points.

It turns out we only had 4 games this month as one was postponed and unfortunately we could only gain 2 points. We really should have gotten something against Lorient at home as they were bottom of the league at the time and then it was very disappointing to only draw against Nancy as we took the lead twice in that game! We are now 5 games without a league win and the fixtures in November and December look pretty hard to me:S

Player of the Month - Nashat Akram

View attachment 376561

The Iraqi international got his first goal for the club this month and put in some decent performances in center midfield. In all honesty there wasn't much competition for this, this month.

Player Stats:

View attachment 376565

Just not enough goals so far...

League Table:

View attachment 376566

Very tight at the bottom now and 12th is a very false position for us I'd say. We need a string of results to pull us away from the relegation zone.

Next update will be a November and December review, can we improve our sluggish form?

NOTE - game just froze at the end of my next game against Lille which we had won 3-2. My last save was with 2 games left in October so I will save before each game and make sure I get the same result (Not too fussed about score) in order to keep it fair.

Well done with Paris so far - like the story!

2 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats from our 7 league games over these two months. Great victory over Lille and the victory over fellow relegation candidates Auxerre was pivotal as we were pulling very close to the drop zone. However, losing 4 on the trot was not ideal and we need to improve our form after the winter break!

Player of the Months - Alexandre Cuvillier

View attachment 376699

3 goals over the 2 months from the left winger here on loan!

Player Stats:

View attachment 376700

More of the same really. Not enough goals and Ogier is a tank at the back...

League Table:

View attachment 376702

18 points from our first 19 games is not good enough I'm afraid and if we repeat that in the second half of the season there is a good chance we'll be relegated. The main problem is that we are not winning enough games and we need to be more ruthless when we go ahead in the game!

Next update will be a January review, we probably won't have any money to improve the squad so It'll will be more than likely just our 4 league games and Coup de France 9th round tie.

4 points from our 4 league games this month is an ok return. We were pretty unlucky against PSG as we raced into an early 2-0 but they were just too strong for us and turned it round to win 3-2. We were also leading against Bastia so we have threw away a few points this month, but performances have been better overall. We are also through to the 11th round of the Coup de France where we will play a Ligue 2 side in Ajjacio, so we have a good chance of making the quarter finals!

Player of the Month - Kenneth Tsotetsi

View attachment 376746

A real breakthrough month for the young South African, wrestling away the position as first choice ball winning midfielder away from Wilson Palacios and scoring 3 goals in the month which is impressive for a ball winning midfielder in my opinion. He has also been progressing well in training so he is definitely one to watch for the future.

Player Stats:

View attachment 376747

Still lacking in goals but an impressive start from our new Brazilian center back Luiz Felipe!

League Table:

View attachment 376748

5 points clear of the drop but we are still averaging less than 1 point per game which I really feel we need to improve to avoid the drop.

Transfers:

View attachment 376749

Parent club AS Monaco organize a loan for a young right winger and the young Brazilian center back Luiz Felipe finally joins after we agreed to sign him in August. The other two youngsters don't join until the summer though. Here are the two we have signed...

Next up is a February review. Will we be able to pull further away from the relegation zone and will we make it to the Coup de France Quarter final?
