Actually, this one xcan easily be turned into a 4231, but with DMCs, not MCs. Still interested ?

As I cant edit the posts ( the forum acting weird), I will make a new post instead. The thing about a 4231 is this though. Its not just about the roles, its also the players

If you use Rooney or RVP in the FC position, players coming deep to get the ball, you need a AMC that likes to move into channels and his role would have to be one that actually plays like this. But if using Chicarito upfront, then the AMC should be a player that acts like a TQ and his role would be setup like that to.

So in short, in the Possession versions, the FC would be tweaked into a TQ and the Attack mid and here, you would start with those kind of players. And when wanting to switch to counter, then you would have to drop rooney or RVP into the AMC spot and sub that player and bring on Chicarit into the FC spot. So you see, you would have to use different players as well when switching versions
 
Yeah, the switching of players could be problematic, especially as I would need to potentially use a substitution. Maybe I can just use the Arsenal 4-2-3-1 sets you made in your main tactic thread.

I have actually just loaded up a new United save trying to convert this into a 4231 with MCs. Lets not discuss it here though as the threadwill get spammed ( facebook chat perhaps ?)
 
Won the Premiership with The Hammers! Awesome set! I lost only 3 games , and started drawing some in winter, mostly due to exhaustion i think. I bought Affelay now, and i'm keen on using him on the left side, and moving jarvis on the right, see how that goes. Also, my fist season , i loaned Yaya Sanogo, promising a future fee of 10m pounds, but in january i signed him for free :).
I must say that this is the first tactic set i've used, where Andy Caroll scored shitloads of goals, so props to TBH for creating it :)))
Small question: The new set, apart from the awesome cautious one, how are they improved? The 3 games i lost and the draws, i mostly used the counter, in fact the counter version didn't work at all for me. With the cautious one i used fullbacks as Demel and Mccartney are ***** sprinters. Thanks TBH!

Thats truly awesome !!

As for the " new" updated versions, they are different in the following way.

Attack: Small tweaks making it slightly better. The wingers cuts Inside so they dont get in the way Of the Wingbacks( that now HBT ? free role) as much.

Counter: its much more stable so you dont get punished straight away when picking it incorrectly.
Overload: some small tweaks, just like with Counter

EDIT;: Any chance of some screens of the fixturelist and the table ?

I need advice.Who should i put on aml and who on amc?.. I have James Rodriguez,J.Wilshere,E.Lamela,M.Badelj on amr I have a.Valencia and he is doing great job.

Hi,Im managing an underdog/middle team using a 4-5-1 with flat 4 in the back(one of cds is 'cover'),2 wide midfielders with attack duty 1 dlp,1 ap in the middle and 1 bwm with support duties and one Complete forward.
it's fluid - standard strategy.

passing : shorter
creative freedom : more disciplened
closing down : press more
tackling : more aggrassive
marking : zonal
crossing : float
roaming : stick to position

defensive line : deep
width : narrow
tempo : quick
time wasting : sometimes

counter attack : yes

doing good for now. Ive got possession too but I hardly score. what should I do?

I would increase the Width with about 50% (like from "notch" 4 to 6) and repeat it ( from 6 to 9, 9 to 14, 14 to 20) until you see à difference in result. The aim is naturally to use more Of the pitch to be able to drag the opponents out Of their defensive position.

Hey TBH, how would you change Cristiano Ronaldo's instruction using this set? As i see it he needs to be more attacking or so. For the rest of the team it suits them well but he's not scoring that much and as we all know he is kinda' selfish, he doesn't pass it much either. Thanks.

Well, in real life, he does not exactly play in one of the AMR/L spots. He is more of an AMCL with a free role. That why its rather difficult to get him scoring like he does in real life using this tactic. You could pushing him into the AMCleft spot and take it from there. Apart from that, I would probably let him have the settings of the AMR
 
Different formations, same approach.

Currently tweaking this set into different formations. I know most people are waiting for FM13 but if anyone is interested in them, still enjoying FM12, then just tell me and I will send you a link.
So far, I have made the following formation using the Overload, Attacking possession, Counter and Cautious Possession approach. They work with all teams although some formations are more cautious than other by default.

- Flat 442
- 4411
- Wide 4231
- Wide 41311
- 352 with a sweeper ( not tested enough though
