***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

Oh you are using the updated squad from January =)

Well, I always do almost the same, but im just failing. The main difference from your approach to mine is that I havent got the money to buy both Wellington and Jovetic (as far as I know). So I normally act the following on the transfer marked:

Sold:
- Steward Downing
- Jonjo Shelvey
- Joe Cole

Bought:
- Wellington Nem
- Demba Ba

I cant see what I have done wrong, compared to your setup. What is the reason for training Wellington to AML? - Im using his in a rotation with Steven G on AMC.

In my opinion Nem is better AP than Trequartista . i was rotating SUSO with Gerrard and he was his Tutor , now he is 20 year's old and he is a beast as trequartista !

Quick update about my Everton game.

So my issues with Jelavic have gone. I stopped his PPM training and focussed purely on his composure (was 12) and he's started netting more often however i only have Guidetti on loan or Gueye as cover.. My creative mids (AML/R, AMC) have settled and are linking well however injuries are causing disruption. Some important results against the big teams (Spurs, City, Utd) means that just after New Year i've gone top by 2pts ahead of City.

Plans in the window are to offload Mirallas due to low mental stats and use the cash to buy a cheap creative mid and a striker to cover Jelavic.

Things i've discovered about the tactic...

1) Training and morale are more important than stats. Be positive with your comments at all times. Only after a VERY disappointing result should you be aggressive. Additionally, don't overload players with training like PPMs, new positions etc. It does make a huge difference, especially on positions where there is a measurable output like Strikers getting goals or midfielders getting assists.

2) You need tall attacking players due to keepers long balls otherwise you just turnover possession. Usually people use height to make better use of crosses but here it is more important for keeping possession due to the slow, short build-up play meaning the keeper will see a bit of the ball.

3) Be patient with it. If you have a squad that made a number of changes such as mine, 8 debuts this season (Includes players that i didn't buy) and 6 players out than focus on team cohesion on a high setting at a 40% match prep for def. positioning. This has worked for me and increases the potential of any flowing counters that may come up.

I would say that in the end, the difference is in the coaching of the players and being able to pick the correct players for the match etc.

I must say that im 110 % lacking alot of knowledge. Im one of those guys who has played FM for 10 years and have relyed ONE good tactic downloaded from some genius.

Can you (TBH or other), give a quick review on what you do in the beginning of the season and before each match? I must be doing something wrong (or not doing it at all)

I will see if I have some time over the weekend to put together a guide. Mind you, this would just be some rought guidelines as there are so many scenarios and variables to look out for.

Thats all I ask for, I have no problem putting alot of time into this my self. I just want to hear your version on how to build and maintain a strong team that playes in harmony.

Futhermore, if you have time to give your 50 cent on how you would start up Liverpool and place what players in what positions, along with some reasons for this, I would appreciate it ALOT!

Just won the Premier League and Capital One Cup and Community Shield with this tactic. with SWANSEA. Tactic is fantastic lol Nathan Dyer as the right midfielder and Royston Drenthe as the AML and Danny Graham as striker is unstoppable. Graham was Europes top marksmen?! Best tactic on Fm2013 so far

I've tried a lot of tactics and this is easily the best one I've used, nice work!

I am currently finishing my first season with Bordeaux.

I'd make a post once it finished, with pictures and a few notes on the tactic.

For now, I must admit that the results are very good and I would win the championship unless accident ;)

San Marino update. Won serie B, even got a new serie B record when it comes to points gained.

Got to the quarter final of the Italian cup, and beat Juventus away before got beaten by AC Milan on San Siro, a match my team dominated.

I controlled most of the games and its deserved wins. Create lots of chances and the matches lost can be explained by injuries.

Pretty excited regarding how my young team will handle serie A...

By the way, do you recommend change set pieces instruction? Or are they optimized?

Players like Mariano and Belay are ideal because they create panic in the opponent defense. In addition, they should be able to score
The striker must be tall and good in the head. It is the reception of most of the cross

For me, the most important player is DMC. You need a player who can defend and attack, good passer and capable of bringing the surplus situations to provide goals

To conclude:

A big thank you for this great tactic. The game played is superb.
There is no doubt, this is THE tactic

If you want to test the tactical :
* Be patient. Learning tactics is long, especially if you have new players
* Take the time to look at the behavior of your team in the game. This will allow you to better understand how the tactics and see which players are best suited
* Be specific in your daily management. Talk to your players congratulate those who deserve and do not hesitate to report a bad game.
* I take care of myself manage the pre-match team talk, I want to be sure that the right message is passed to players
* The best team possible is that composed of a core of players who plays together for several years. Some new players per season (3 or 4), some youth club and you guaranteed success
