May 2017

May was a good month for Middlesbrough as we won the Europa League and secured qualification for next season's Europa League as well. However it had an awful start as we rest 10 of our players to keep them fresh for the Europa League final and therefore lost 6-0 at home to QPR. I was extremely ****** off and fined the players that played two weeks wages each.

Squad Stats

Player of the Month - Tom Ince

View attachment 415602

Just because he scored the winning goal in the Europa League final.

A win on the final day of the season against Hull means that we will enter the Europa League in the Group Stage next season.

End of Season Squad Stats

Player of the Year - Tom Ince

View attachment 415586

Another great season for Tom as he impresses in every cup he plays in and makes his England debut!

Young Player of the Year - Nathan Redmond

View attachment 415585

With Nathan on one wing and Tom Ince on the other, we have a pretty destructible force going down either side. He impressed all season and will be looking to force his way into the 2018 World Cup squad.

Result of the Season

View attachment 415584

It has to be the 3-2 win over Chelsea in October as it showed the Premier League what we can achieve.

League

View attachment 415583

Another solid league campaign and we will be looking to break into the Champions League next season.

Capital One Cup

View attachment 415582

Well it's safe to say our Capital One Cup campaign this season was absolutely awful!

FA Cup

View attachment 415581

Another campaign goes by without a domestic cup being won, we need to win one soon.

Europa League

View attachment 415579

Our first season back in the Europa League was fantastic as we won the competition despite entering in the Third Qualifying Round.

Aims

1) Win promotion to the Premier League
2) Qualify for European Football
3) Win the Premier League
4) Win the FA Cup
5) Win the Capital One Cup
6) Win the Community Shield
7) Win the Europa League
8) Win the Champions League
9) Win the Club World Cup
10) Complete a domestic treble
11) Have 10 or more players selected for national duty for the main team.
12) A Middlesbrough player to win the Golden Ball
13) Become the most reputable club in the world
14) Become the world's richest club
15) Become the most successful club in the North East

Well done on winning the Europa League mate.

Could I see a SS of Adrianinho?

Middlesbrough Manager future uncertain?

View attachment 415540

Middlesbrough manager Michael Henson's future as manager of Middlesbrough is very uncertain after Manchester United approached him to move to Old Trafford.

Henson has become a household name in English football after he led Middlesbrough to the Europa League title last season and has a strict transfer policy by only signing English players.

It is rumoured that he has rejected talks with Middlesbrough about new contract and it will be a massive blow to Boro if he did leave.

well done in winning the europa cup... next is to win the premiership

hope you stay with Boro.
flirt with the man u approach.. interview.. and demand for the sky if they offer... i wonder what will happen...

He's turning into a beast! Such a shame he isn't English :(.

I know it's a massive shame but luckily he's still eligible for England and hasn't played for Brazil yet.

Cheers mate, that is my next goal but hoping for a domestic cup win first!

I smell a troll, like appointing someone like Di Matteo as Utd manager.

Manchester United can confirm that Malky Mackay has been appointed as the new manager of Manchester United after lengthy discussions.

Malky joins the club as we look to bounce back into European football after missing out on last season due to Leeds reaching the FA Cup Final.

We believe Malky is the right man for the job and he was always our number one target.

2016/17 Pre-Season Update

Transfers

View attachment 499672

In

View attachment 499681

Adil Nabi

View attachment 499691

Adil joins for a very small fee compared to what I think he is able to achieve in his career and will be a back up striker with Will Keane and Kyle Waine.

Tom Adeyemi

View attachment 499700

He joins for ?500,000 from Huddersfield and, like it says in his contract, will be a back up midfielder to Jacob Butterfield. If there is an injury he will provide great cover.

Dele Alli

View attachment 499708

Dele moves from his hometown club to join us as one of the brightest centre midfielders in the English game. Leeds submitted a bid for him and that's when we made our move.

Nathan Redmond

View attachment 499717

When we played Norwich last season Nathan ripped us apart so it made sense to bring him in for ?3.3m. Will take over Elliott Bennett as our first choice right winger.

Out

View attachment 499724

A large number of players left the club in the summer, like in last pre-season, whether it be with a permanent or a loan move. Faris Haroun and Justin Hoyte were released after their performances decreased in the last season and are on the wrong side of 30. The two permanent moves involved Emmanuel Ledesma and Richard Smallwood, who moved to Bologna and Celtic. Emmanuel will forever be remembered for scoring the goal that sent us into the Europa League but with Redmond arriving there was no place in the team for him. Richard leaves Middlesbrough as his attributes have started to decrease sharply.

Matches

View attachment 499737

During pre-season we started our Europa League campaign and it was a fairly easy start as we beat Tromso 8-1 over two legs. It was disappointing to not keep a clean sheet in one of the games but it was our first competitive game of the season.

Club News

View attachment 499744

After beating Tromso earlier on we now face Slovan Liberec for a place in the Europa League Group Stages. It could have been a lot worse but I think we should be the favourites for both ties.

View attachment 499746View attachment 499745

Jerome Sinclair was called up to the England squad for the 2016 European Championships and made his debut shortly after. It capped a great few years for the 19 year old after impressing in the three seasons at Middlesbrough.

Over the summer we announced a link with Japanese side Jublio Iwata which will allow us to make a presence in Japan which could boost merchandise sales. We are already looking into touring Japan next summer.

Just a bit of advice regarding redmond, he plays better as an IF on the left wing, on my norwich save he finished with 13 assists and 9 goals from that position

Nice story mate, I like what you're doing with English players. Did this Brazilian come through your academy? I ask because I want me some of that for my Yeovil save! Our youth recruitment is improving but we only get English players coming through. I heard in the news a while back that Middlesbrough had a link with a Brazilian club, are they a feeder club in game as well?
