Monthly Review

Awesome month really, Cavani started smashing them in. Fierro keeps scoring and when he doesn't he assists. Only thing overshadowing this month would be Niang's injury but Bertoli proved a worthy deputy smashing in a brace against Villa. In the next round of the COC we have Pompey!! Our fiercest rivals who are still in League 1.

Smashing them in this month after I switched his role to Complete Forward and striking up a god partnership with Fierro. He's already favoured personal with him!!

Well a mixed month by our high standards. Disappointing games against Spurs, Everton and Pompey. We gave Madrid a real match but lady luck shone on them. The worst thing though is Shakhtar BEAT Madrid to blow our group wide open. Fierro's form seems to be flying again, love that kid so much haha!!

In other news Buffon bought Cesena and I turned down the Bayern job obviously ;)

Annoyed to throw away a 2 goal lead like that  I'm really not enjoying managing Belgium to be honest, probably leave after the Euro's if we make it. Here's what the group looks like

Monthly Review

So a poor month in the league once more, the win against United was good as they're right up there but they were down to 10 men after 2 minutes. The lose to Chelsea was hard to take as we were the better side and deserved at least a draw. Drawing with Norwich and Wolves is just not acceptable these days either. The Bolton result was top class and shows just how good this squad is when they perform. Champions League is going well after that win over Shakhtar, the Madrid result was another hard one to take this month but never mind.

In other news Niang returned from his injury, but bad news about him..

View attachment 271006

Probably offload him which is a shame but Fierro has hit top form for about a year now and with Cavani, Ibra and Bertoli he wont be massively missed. Plus the young German Tunay Apaydin I signed this summer is having an incredible season with Livingston

Monthlly Review

Solid month. Came so close to beating City too, but the results this month just shows we really can mix it with them big boys these days. Now onto the Champions League.... whilst I did what I needed to do in beating Kalmar it ensured we did progress, BUT Shakhtar once again beat Madrid which meant we topped the group!!! So Madrid finised second and us first. We drew Benfica so I'm confident we can progress :)

Awesome as always Sam, thanks for liking my latest update, tip on Ibra. It says he operates best as a target man I think. I had a save with AC Milan a while back and he was playing **** at TM but once I changed him to deep lying forward he scored 20 odd goals after that, so try that for a couple of games. Also what do you think of my latest update? Any good?

Yeah I haven't been playing him as a TM, been playing him as a CF and he was doing okay. Switched it to AF and he's improved, my Assistant Report says he's best as a DLF but he didn't play too well at the start of the season in that role but might give it a go again. He's probably off at the end of the season anyway, his performances aren't matching his insane wages.

Latest update was immense, Im loving that story pal KIU

Pull off two big deals for two Germans
Crash out of Capital One Cup
Few players shown the door including Niang and Caulker
Strong month in the league and FA Cup

Transfers

Ins

So we snapped up Khedira for £12.5m, he's quality and will be a good mentor for Jack Beckham. Marc Andre Ter Stegan was signed for a tiny fee due to his contract status, I was chuffed to grab him so cheap. Two regens were also grabbed, Zieglar a young keeper who will be sold for profit and young left back Cosenza who will be back up to Luke Shaw.

Outs

A bit more busy than the ins. Taiwo left as he was about as good as Luke Shaw these days and I made a nice profit on him, I signed him for £2.2m. Caulker was the next out, he was on 120k a week which is ridiculous so off he went for £15m, another nice bit of profit. Niang was then off to QPR for another profit, I have so many quality strikers I really didn't need him plus his injury earlier this season reduced his PA. Frimpong was then loaned out as I now have Khedira.

Pretty solid month again. Happy with me dealings during the window, Caulker wouldn't have been sold but he was on crazy wages and was refusing to sign a cheaper contract it gives Zouma a chance to step up. Disappointed to lose to Liverpool in the COC but never mind, really pleased with my league form we're really looking like genuine title contenders.

As you can see we really are up there with United, just a point behind. Its going to go to the wire..

Sad to see Niang go... but a good profit and at least Cavani is scoring! :D

Yeah bit unfortunate but with Fierro, Cavani and Bertoli I just couldn't see much of a future for him, he's hitting them in for QPR and I'm strangely happy about that as I did develop him. Glad that Cavani has settled too :)

Wow nice signing but yeah sad about caulker man :/
He'd insisted on a Highest Earner Clause when he signed for us what 3 seasons ago now?? And with Cavani arriving in the summer his wages increased and I just felt he wasn't worth those massive wages as I have Cahill and Coates on around 80k and Zouma is about as good as Caulker anyway.

been following your thread for a few days now... its been amazing to follow... as a united supporter im happy to see us on top, but i secretly hope you top the table at season end :)
