When will you be posting your new tactic? Hopeully soon as I would love to try it.

Steve

I'm still testing it but with Bayern Munich at the moment. Probably in a week or so if I feel that it is an improvement on my previous ones. So far here are 2 of my latest results.

Can you post up a screenshot of your league table so far?

Unfortunately not :(

I tried v2.1 with Bolton(I know not the best team) and I lost like 7 games in a row!!! Even against easy teams! I then tried it with my 5th season Lyon super team, and while I had a **** of alot more possession, I was again getting beat by most teams.

The positives with this tactic is certainly the possession, I enjoyed that side of things, just struggled for results. But that was with v2.1, maybe the first version is better. But I'm really looking forward to the updated version Xenon is working on, as his results look AMAZING. And really want to try it with my Bolton team(now in season 2, with better players)

My league table so far. My front 4 and 2 wing backs have really good ratings. Creating CCC's but Mario Gomez isn't really the quickest player! Not scoring at an average of near 3 goals a game like I was in v1 and v2.1 though. Going to see if I can get the consistency that I got with the other tactics though.

Your defense is so good though. I hope you don't concentrate too much on scoring more goals, and end up taking anything away from the defense. I mean you have only conceeded 1 goal in 8 league matches! Amazing!

Is the formation the same as before? I will test it out for you with my Bolton team if you like?

Steve

Thanks a lot. I couldn't have put this any better. I appreciate the post and yeah I think you have it spot on, even down to the weaknesses. However I feel that the corners are pretty good. I yielding a lot of goals using Jonny Evans from corners if you look in the original post. I'm curious though as to which version of the tactic you have been using? However I don't think there is too much variation between either of them.
I use them both, if i clear favorite then i use the offensive version. If the odds are close then i use normal version.

I've conceded 4 in 13 games, 2 in Champions League and 1 in German Super Cup. Sometimes the opposition does go through on goal but misses/gets saved. I've conceded 2 long shots and 1 corner and the other goal was when opposition got through on goal. I'm not changing anything on the tactic right now, only testing for consistency. I'll release it in due course ;) Probably when I reach December or January.

Ah okay thanks :)

ps. sorry for double post, I didn't post it twice but it just happened?!

Makes sense mate. I take it the formation is still the exact same then? Looking forward to it, goodluck with the rest of your season with Bayern, I always have a German game in every FM, this one was with Leverkusen and loved it, so hopefully your enjoying it with Bayern.

Steve

The offensive version does include more risks when in possesion. Your midfield will push up creating space behind them for the opponent to exploit it, it will isolate your defense when you lose the ball. Thats why i only use it to break down the lesser teams that camp in their half.

I suppose you consider v2.1 to be the offensive version right with the 2 mids getting forward?

My players (Toprak or Reinartz )scored from set pieces a lot ...including free-kicks...they scored minimum 10 goals per season both ...i don't see a problem with these...probably it your setpieces taker....First i used Arda Turan and i don't scored to much...then i changed him with a player form Belarus(it's a complicate name ) and situation changed very good ...

in conclusion take a look at your set-pieces taker...it worked for me...nice tactic anyway

P.S. sorry for my english

this tactic have very good posesion -- against chelsea with napoli i had 60% but only 4 shot...and this is problem in this tactic not to many shots on my opinion so i will try with 2 forwards and with one midfielder will change mentality to normal not defensive so he can support them

strange since I was scoring at 3 goals a game ish with Man Utd!

idk :P united is stronger then napoli you now...just played against turkih club 4 qualif. round...i had 65% and 5 shots
they had 14 shots and won 1:0 :P

Update for the next version of the tactic. Every 5-6 games I have a match where I am lucky to win and do not really control the game or shut the opposition out. I've still won every single game however I was lucky to win 2 of the games. But when the tactic decides to be superb, it really is superb!

Not sure I like the inconsistency (inconsistency in this case meaning every 5-6 games there is 1 that it could have gone either way) though but I put that down to the "match preperation." Team is still getting used to it.

i just finish my second season with Leverkusen ....i got title and german cup...lost in semi-finals of ECC against Barcelona on away goals, but they where very lucky 1 goal from a free-kick, in both matches i was above barca ...posession over 60% and minimum 2 woodwork and 4 CCC...i will try to sign with other team for a new challenge
