Being a proud Liverpool fan, this is the one fixture every year that I simply refuse to sit back for.
Getting points is not enough, I need to beat the blue side of Merseyside! We dominated this game
performance was epitomized by the fantastic shift put in by our full backs.

An absolute screamer from Santi Carzola in the 88th minute gave them the 3 points. It was a
sensational strike(and came 2nd in Decembers goal of the month) so I had no complaints. I'd have
liked to come out of this game with at least a point but both teams gave it their everything.

from time but it should have been a more comfortable match.

Could easily have been 5 or 6 but both Borini and Balotelli hit the post with finely struck shots from just outside the box. But the stand out performer was a MoM display from débutante Jerome Sinclair with two sensational finishes. We could have gotten a hat-trick only for his header being tipped over the bar. He's been in fine form
for the U'21s so I felt he deserved a run out.

5 years is a **** of a long time but it also mean I may be able to sell him for £4M-£5M in 2-3
years and not risk him leaving on a free. He's a good Right Back and has a lot to offer the squad.

I was sure to tie down Flanagan as I have plans of him being first choice RB in 2-43 years time. The kid
is a local Liverpool lad and came through the clubs youth system. He's done well last season when Enrique was
injured and deserves the chance to show what he can do.

We always knew this place was special; Not even the European Champions could
beat us here. Juventus are 1 point behind us and need to win, they need three points but we will
not budge. This is Anfield, and we we were made for nights like these.

The Team bus drove steadily up Utting Avenue, Stanly Park to our right.

Aye, I've high hopes we can reach the Quarter-Finals. I don't think we'll go farther than the Semis but still, getting that far would be a great achievement.
 
Fantastic work on beating Juventus, it'll be interesting to see how you'll manage against Leverkusen because despite being a "kind" draw they still have a pretty solid squad. Also judging from the ratings it seems that Balotelli is finally starting to do better for you despite not scoring many goals.

Aye, they'll be a tough side. They won their group so that can't be forgotten.

I'm still not convinced by Balotelli but I think I may give him until the end of the season to win his long term future.

Aye, hence why I'm giving him a trial. If he doesn't get 8.0 or above with the U21's, I'm not taking the chance.
Also, Mignolet is in the form of his life for me too. Don't know why so many people offload him here. He's a solid keeper.
 
I would still say sign him as its always good to have two great keepers but the unrest with Mingolet could happen but im sure you will do the right thing!

try balotelli as false 9. in my save he scoring and assisting. usually from one of his shots, get parried by opposition keeper then my inside forwards have a tap in.

how is Joe Allen doing in your team? he has been my best player in my save.

I doubt I'll go for him, He wanted £105k + £20k a game bonus and his trial performances don't warrant him being on twice the wages of Mignolet; who's been in sensational forum. Too much of a risk. I'll wait for someone else.

Sterling and Sturridge are playing better. He simply is not playing well enough to earn a spot in the team and I'm not benching someone who is playing well.

Allen is playing well for me, doing a job but his oppertunities have been limited since Lucas, Can and Henderson have been playing fairly well. henderson had a rocky patch in October where he lost his place to Allen but they're both still important players for me.

Cheers my friend. I'd always be annoying my friends about the progress in my FM saves so detail is second nature to me. If I'm honest, I'm barely giving ye anything. If I was to tell ye everything I wanted to, we'd still be in pre-season :p
