Just because I'm very confident of a serious challenge this year don't mistake that for if that doesn't happen, I'll be leaping off the edge.

We're in this together for the long haul. Good or bad.

Fair play if that is really going to be the Liverpool attitude, even if Klopp becomes a flop this season in front of the kop and doesn't get the chop I can only admire that. But we'll wait and see, it's one thing saying it and another thing sticking to it. (More referring to the board). Actions speak louder than words, we'll see, it will be fascinating none the less to see how it pans out. For the record I actually want Liverpool to do well this season, I just hope Klopp can deliver the expectations and you come runner up to the truly big red club who will be champions this season. :D

Am I the only one still scared that we haven't got in a specialist Left back so far this window. We know how inadequate Moreno is and Scouse for all the hype you give Milner he is not a fullback. He was a disaster in CM with his lack of positional sense and defensively at Fullback he could be targeted. Its our weakest position and if it isn't addressed asap then we can forget about challenging.

Not at all mate. It's a serious on-going concern. You've only to look at how bad he's been again this pre-season. Youngsters coming in and looking great. Others who didn't look too cracking last year looking like they've made a massive leap with the time off and come back a whole bunch better. Then there's Albi as bad as ever.

It was great to hear him say last night our business probably isn't done and he's looking to strengthen further defensively. Disappointing to read they are very interested in Hector but don't value him as high as Cologne do at £20 plus million so unless there's some negotiating down there that looks a non-starter.

I aren't as concerned as the middle has strengthened and more so the 'keeper has massively upgraded to cover for the inevitable Moreno f-up. And we look to have goals all over the front 4/5, whichever combination plays. So that should even the other end out.

But yeah, a solid LB is sorely needed. Still a month to go yet mate of this window. Sounds like they'll be someone at least

Modern game doesn't mean you need to chop and chop. LFC are known to give the managers support and time. Unless you're Woy though and matching our worst league form since poor Souness was in charge. Terrible terrible memories.

If the crowd are allowed to walk-through this part (kind of similar to us walking under the construction work the season just gone) then expect some exciting bus welcomes... ie a tunnel full of red flares and LIVVERRRPOOOLL chants...

I'm in and around the stadium tomorrow, will try and get a closer look at it.

And I don't get why people are complaining about a fan-base loving and supporting their manager... no wonder other teams are sacking their managers half a season after they've brought home a league title or domestic cup.

If you don't like posts about Klopp then gtfo out of the Liverpool thread?!

Most of you will be too young to remember, but the sacrifices that man made for Liverpool Football Club and the community it serves, that went WELL beyond football and ultimately completely broke him as he tried to carry and rebuild a whole City ..... The debt of gratitude and eternal love and appreciation just can't be put in to words. It's hard to define just what Kenny and Marina mean to survivors, but Storey nails it as good as you possibly can.

Not only a World class footballer. But a World class human being.

The best we've ever had. The best they'll ever be. ALWAYS our King.

Applies to me but the family have well educated me on King Kenny over the years. That along with hours of old footage I've seen of him play (AND COULD HE PLAY) led me to loving him and my dad buying me the massive signed frame I have of him on my wall.

Never forget immediately after Sheffield when the club had the masterstroke of opening the ground up and the Kop and pitch just got covered in flowers and scarfs, walking back down the back the main the main stand and Peter Robinson talking to a some fella so me arl fella went up and emotionally thanked him for giving us somewhere to just go and mourn with others. And he was like 'do you want a cup of tea?' Surreally stunned, we're like 'that'd be great ta mate', and he took us in through reception to the players lounge and man alive, there was most the players and their wives just sat talking, listening, consoling people. Sat with Sandra Beardsley, who is an absolutely lovely woman, and Kenny's handing tea out and just, being there for whoever needed to unload.

They didn't have to do that. Throw the doors open and turn themselves into counsellors and all the extra stress and emotion that entails. The club didn't make them do that. But they WANTED to do that because they all genuinely cared.

It's things like that you NEVER forget and just strengthens that special bond we share with the club.
 
You guys have a good opportunity to get off to a good start in the PL, facing Arsenal now is probably the best time as they have players from Euros like Koscielny who won't be ready. They also have a CB crisis because of it, how on gods name they haven't strengthened in this window still (apart from Xhaka) is mind boggling. They are crying out for a striker and a CB at least.

You can definitely get at them and they have a bad record on first game at home in PL. I know they've lost their last few opening day games.

Right now I don't even see Arsenal as challengers, fighting for CL places.... at least by facing them in first game you get best opportunity to face the weakest Arsenal in terms of fitness, players missing and if they make anymore signings they likely won't be ready such as Mustafia/Lacazette. If they end up getting them two I'll view them as title contenders.

Still be as tough game as always at Arsenal regardless. He's apparently pushing Sanchez and Wilshire so we'll see. Defo need to hit the ground running though. Heck of a tough start to the season the first 8 games.

More interesting to me is just what side/ formation we'll set out with. Because trying to read what Klopp will do is an impossible task. Which I suppose isn't a bad thing as if we have no idea, what chance to oppo. managers have trying to plan for that? I feel safe saying the Belgium buffoon will be in nets. With Clyne and Moreno at FB and probably Klavan and Lovren centre half as there's nobody else. Outside of that I honestly haven't got a clue and everyone on here could write out a different side and probably still not hit the actual full XI. I'd like to say Barcelona tomorrow will probably be a good indicator but it probably won't, lol.

Absolutely. This 75% financial penalty they've hit upon is brilliant. And the choice of clubs is noticeably different too. Allan getting 75% of a Bundesliga season with Berlin is fantastic and should go a LONG way toward a premy.

Looks like Flanno will be gone to Burnley for the season this weekend which is great for his fitness and playing every week. Should surely DEFO mean a FB of some description will be arriving soon. Lloyd-Jones off to Swindon the year too but he's not having any career here at 21 going on 22 already.
