The media predicted that we'll finish 14th in the league, but after the transfer window we have strengthened the squad significantly and also improved the quality of staff at the club.
We were looking to get off to a quick start, this will build momentum and hopefully we can put a run together.
Here's the fixtures...

View attachment 353197

Wuhan vs Rizhizquan (13/3/16) China League Two

View attachment 353194

Absolutely beyond belief, looking at the stats and seeing us lose 4-3 is just a bit stupid.
Although if we keep up getting these kind of stats and sure up the defense a bit, then i'm sure things will turn around for us.
Man Of The Match - Zou Peng

Yanbian vs Wuhan (2/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353193

Once again we were very unlucky not to win this match, however we can still take a lot of positives from this result as Yanbian are touted by the media as one of the favourite's to gain promotion
Man Of The Match - Gao Ming

Wuhan vs Hainiu (6/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353192

Incredible performance, the team finally clicked going forward as we totally dominated Hainiu.
Looking at the ratings of the players, our forward players shone immensely all getting ratings above 9.0.
Very encouraging performance to say the least, I think the media may regret their initial prediction.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Chengdu
vs Wuhan (9/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353190

We can't be too disheartened with this performance, Chengdu are by far one of the more strong teams in this league and to push them as close as we did is a great effort.
However, we could also feel slightly aggrieved that their winning goal was scored via a harshly given penalty.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Chongquing vs Wuhan (16/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353189

Tremendous performance, it was important we came back with a win after a very unlucky loss to Chengdu.
Our attacking play was marvelous, it was quick, fluid and direct, exactly what is asked of them in the tactic we play.
Man Of The Match - Gao Ming

Henan vs Wuhan (24/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353187

I was absolutely astonished with this win, Henan are probably the strongest team in the league so to beat them as convincingly as we did is incredible.
Our attacking players are incredible, they're proving hard for teams in this league to cope with.
Man Of The Match - Dong Xiandong

Wuhan
vs Xiangtao (27/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353185

Once again our attacking players proved too strong for the opposition, our defense is fairly weak but we don't have too worry to much with the amount of goals we seem to be scoring.
I just hope we don't get an injury to one of our starting attacking players, the replacements are a huge drop in quality.
Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

Qingdao vs Wuhan (30/4/16) China League Two

View attachment 353183

A strong win to round of the month, we weren't as dominant as in previous matches, we could have easily drawn the match if it wasn't for a few quality saves from our Goalkeeper.
Man Of The Match - Dong Xiandong

This month started of pretty slowly and it looked as if we would lingering near the bottom of the table, luckily we started to click and began to string wins together which turned it in to a largely positive month for us.
The main positive I'll take from this month is our impressive attacking play, we seem to move forward very quickly, fluidly and with a clinical touch in front of goal.
Here's the League Table...

View attachment 353182

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goal Of The Month

We scored a lot of goals in our first month, a lot of them were of a high quality as well so it took me a while to choose an outright winner
This is the one we went with..

Player Of The Month

To be honest this award could of gone to any one of our front four attacking players, however I decided to give it to Gao Ming as he seemed to orchestrate the majority of our attacks.
He also contributes equally with assists and goals.

Much shorter month than the previous one, this meant our players would be fresher for each game and hopefully help them to put in better performances.
We also entered the cup this month, not sure how we'll go in this cup but it will good to see where we stand with the top division teams.
Here's the fixtures...

View attachment 352879

Wuhan vs Chengquing (7/5/16) China League Two

View attachment 352878

Even though I was very happy with the last minute equalizer, we should have never needed to be saved in that situation.
We completely outplayed Chengquing but we just couldn't put our chances away, usually this season we've been more clinical in front of goal which in turn has covered up our defensive frailties.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Shenxin vs Wuhan (14/5/16) China League Two

View attachment 352877

The scoreline should have been a lot more in our favour, but however this scoreline represents how we've been playing.
Simply put our defense is awful, the keeper couldn't catch a cold, however our saving grace is our attacking play.
We just carve teams open, and if we continue to do this I think we should be fine.
Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

Wuhan vs Yiteng (18/5/16) China League Two

View attachment 352876

Very similar to last match, with the chances we created we should of been blowing Yiteng away.
However, our defense just keeps the opposition in the game but hopefully we can strengthen our defense through training and maybe some signings.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Wuhan vs Ruilong (28/5/16) Chinese FA Super Cup 2nd Rnd

View attachment 352875

A much more convincing performance, although we were always expected to win as Ruilong are a division below us.
Our keeper played much better and actually managed to keep hold of a few shots, instead of normally fumbling them to an oncoming striker.
Once again though it was our attacking play that stole the show, we had them completely smashed by half-time with 4 goals.

Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

On the whole this was a very positive month, we stayed unbeaten in the league and also progressed to the next round of the cup.
If we keep up this form then i'm very confident of pushing for promotion, the top two teams gain promotion to the Wanda Plaza Super League.
Here's the League Table...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goal Of The Month

Although we once again scored a lot of goals during the month, I really struggled to pick a winner, as most of our goals were real poachers goals coming from crosses and through balls.
However here's the winner...

Player Of The Month

Obviously once again we had the chose of basically our attacking players, however this month there was one player who stood out.
He provided goals and scored them, he scored goals at very important times during matches and also bagged our Goal Of The Month.

Very tough to start to this month with three away games in a row, we then also lose a lot of our players in the last two matches to the Chinese National teams.
We also got a favourable draw in the Cup against one of the weaker teams in our division, so it's a good chance to progress into the 4th round.

Here's the fixtures...

View attachment 352685

Meizhou vs Wuhan (8/6/16) China League Two

View attachment 352684

One of our more dominant performances this season, we were also unusually quite solid at the back and didn't really make too many mistakes.
The amount of shots we had was incredible, it's a really great tactic as it gives us many clear cut chances every match.
Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

Songjiang vs Wuhan (18/6/16) China League Two

View attachment 352683

Just a masterclass of attacking play from the lad's, we were ruthless in-front of goal.
Although we weren't as dominant stats wise as we were in the previous match, I feel we played just as well.
Dong Xiandong was incredible during this match, he picked up two goals and two assists.
Man Of The Match - Dong Xiandong

Shenxin vs Wuhan (21/6/16) Chinese FA Super Cup 3rd Rnd

View attachment 352680

Shenxin really did a lot of the hard work for us in this match, the made a lot of defensive errors which directly to some of our goals.
The sending off also benefited us hugely as they grew tired, this allowed us add another 3 goals late on in the match.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Wuhan vs Shenbei (25/6/16) China League Two

View attachment 352677

The first of our matches with lots of player missing due to international duty, however we coped fairly well and should of made the scoreline a bit more comfortable.
Man Of The Match - Dong Xiandong

Wuhan vs Zhongji (29/6/16) China League Two

View attachment 352674

Really unlucky to lose this match, once again we were missing a lot of players and had to play a few of them completely out of position.
The late winner really was a killer, the performance was encouraging as to lose with such a late goal was really annoying.

Man Of The Match - Feng Ru

Even though our winning streak was ended, it was still a very good month for us.
We played some incredible football, teams just couldn't handle our front-line as we scored 19 goals in 5 matches.
To win all three away games at the start of the month was incredible and it really set us up for a good month, although the month was slightly derailed by international duty and it looks as if it may affect us next month as well.

Here's the League Table...

Goal Of The Month

I loved this goal, great passing move and a beautiful lobbed finish into the top corner...

I hope the international duty doesn't do too much harm to your season, doing really well so far!

Hopefully, it's fairly annoying that they have a tournament at such a crucial point in the season.

This month is very tough, we'll be missing a lot of our first-team players for the entirety.
It really could ruin our season, as we are only able to put 3 or 4 players on the bench.
The month also has some very important matches, one being in the cup against Fuli and the other being against Chengdu who are just above us in the league.
Here's the fixtures...

View attachment 352462

Wuhan vs Yanbian (2/7/16) China League Two

View attachment 352461

Properly bizarre match, to pull it back from 5-2 to get a draw is just a bit mental.
It really does sum our team up somewhat, we're incredible in attack and woeful in defense.
I'm just glad we pulled it back, we didn't have many of our strong players and i'm very glad to have pulled it back to get a draw from a very dire position.
Man Of The Match - Zou Lou

Fuli vs Wuhan (12/7/16) Chinese FA Super Cup 4th Rnd

View attachment 352459
We can be proud of this performance, Fuli are in the division above us and we more than matched them.
Losing on penalties is always disappointing, although I was still happy with our performance as we more than exceeded expectations.
Man Of The Match - Liang Zengqi

Rizhiquan vs Wuhan (20/7/16) China League Two

View attachment 352451

Very important to get back to winning ways, we could of started to go on a bit of a bad run which could have been disastrous without some of our best players.
Nice to see us to keep a clean sheet for once as well.
Man Of The Match - Gao Ming

Hainiu vs Wuhan (23/7/16) China League Two

View attachment 352444

Another very good win and clean sheet, the work on defensive positioning in training seems to paying off a little.
If we can be this good with basically a second-string team, then the skies the limit when our stronger players come back.
Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

Wuhan vs Chengdu (30/7/16) China League Two

View attachment 352436

Such an important win, Chengdu are challenging us for the promotion places so i'm very happy with this.
It's the last match before our players return from international duty, so to win it and get the three points is a great result.

Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

We recovered very well after a fairly shaky start, this month could of been potentially disastrous for us but we've left ourselves in a very strong position.
Considering the state our squad was in, the win against Chengdu is probably our best win of the season so far.
We may be out of the cup but it gives us the opportunity to put 100% focus on gaining promotion, realistically we were never going to win the Cup so i'm not too bothered we're out.

Goal Of The Month

Really enjoyed seeing us score the goal, really great wing play with a one-two and then a great first-time finish smashed into the top corner.

Player Of The Month

Really easy decision this month, he stood up and took the mantle when we needed him.
5 goals in 5 matches is a great return.

Next update will be out later tonight as I'll be watching Liverpool

Just a quick screenshot of a new player we've signed...

View attachment 352318

He has some good all round attributes for his position, he also give us some much needed depth in the middle of the pitch.
We picked him up on a free from Beijing so we can't complain :)

Impressive start with Wuhan...how are you finding it managing in these foreign leagues mate?? Who have you enjoyed most so far? (I know you've only managed 3 teams)

It's much more fun than managing in the mainstream leagues, it's enjoyable finding new players, staff etc.
I've enjoyed them all equally to be honest, although I built the strongest squad at ASEC Mimosas.

After the last month with international duty causing us a few problems, it's a relief to have our players back and be able to field a full-strength team.
So we should be able to kick on and put ourselves in a very strong position to actually win the league, although the cluster of away games and then a cluster of home games is a bit annoying.
Here's the fixtures..

View attachment 352214

Chongquing FC vs Wuhan (7/8/16) China League Two

View attachment 352212

Really good team performance demonstrated by having five different goalscorers, we would of kept a clean sheet as well if I wasn't for a proper clanger from the keeper as he missed a back pass... :@
Man Of The Match - Zou Peng

Xiangtao vs Wuhan (10/8/16) China League Two

View attachment 352210

One of the most crazy matches I've ever witnessed, three goals within injury time is just taking the **** out of the other team.
Although, on a negative point we did pick up three injuries due to Xiangtao's ill-discipline.
They really did hand us this win, they completely fell apart in the last 20 minutes or so of the match, I felt we needed another goal so we changed to a more attacking mentality and we completely tore them apart.
Man Of The Match - Liang Zengqi

Wuhan vs Henan (14/8/16) China League Two

View attachment 352206

Just another win in what is becoming fairly routine for us, teams just can't compete with us in this division.
A clean sheet just rounded off a near perfect performance.
Man Of The Match - **** Xinwen

Wuhan vs Qingdao (21/8/16) China League Two

View attachment 352202

A good win but we should of been winning by more, we weren't quite in our usual clinical form, although we more than made up for that with an impressive defensive performance.
Man Of The Match - Dong Xiandong

Chongqing vs Wuhan (27/8/16) China League Two

View attachment 352200

Not much to say about this win, like I mentioned before it's just becoming very routine for us to put performances like this together in this division.
Man Of The Match - **** Xiwen

Definitely our strongest month so far, we completely outplayed every one this month and have therefore put ourselves in a very strong position by picking up 5 wins from 5 matches.
We also improved defensively, which is shown by us only conceding 3 goals in 5 matches when sometimes we'd concede 3 in 1 match.
As you can see from the League table below, we're only a few wins from gaining promotion!

These two months should be very exciting, we should really be wrapping up the League title.
We could also maybe give some of our fringe players some game-time, providing we win the league early.
Here's the fixtures...

View attachment 351592

Yiteng vs Wuhan (10/9/16) China League Two

View attachment 351591

Much closer game than the scoreline suggest, Yiteng made a lot of opportunities and could of really scored a lot more than they did.
Their poor discipline could of been the difference, they give away too many free-kicks and we capitalized by scoring from two of them.
Man Of The Match - **** Xinwen

Wuhan vs Shenxin (17/9/16) China League Two

View attachment 351590

WE DID IT!!
We've achieved promotion with 4 games to spare!!
Really should of won this more comfortably, we scored two very early goals and I expected us to really push-on.
Although we didn't push on and also conceded, Shenxin really didn't cause us too many problems when really they should put more pressure on us.

Man Of The Match - Bo Jiangshan

There's not much to say about these next few games as we played some fringe players, so i'll just show you the screenshots

End Of Season Summary

Exceptional season, we really dominated this division and really deserved promotion.
Also to win it with 4 games to spare is an incredible achievement.
The biggest positive in this season was our ability to score goals, 106 goals in 28 games is amazing as we averaged 3.78 goals a game, our defense steadily improved throughout the season as well.
We now look to the next season where we'll be looking to consolidate our position in the Wanda Plaza Super League.
